This 4-pack of candles looked really promising—each one smells lovely right out of the jar, especially the lavender, which was my favorite. The packaging is cute, and they’d make a nice gift at first glance.
However, once lit, the scent throw is pretty minimal. I was hoping the fragrance would fill the room, but it’s very subtle, almost unnoticeable unless you’re standing right next to it. On top of that, they burn down fairly quickly, so the longevity isn’t great either.
Overall, they’re nice for ambiance or a small space, but if you’re looking for strong, lasting scent, these might fall a bit short.

I’ve purchased these candles almost a dozen times now. They last an extremely long time and they smell fantastic.
One lesson I’ve learned is: Try not to let them burn unattended for more than about 4 hours at a time.
The wax has a relatively low melting point and so, if the candle remains lit for a long time the entire volume of wax will liquefy, causing the wick to sometimes fall over into the wax, extinguishing the wick and you will return to find that your candle is out and the wick is hidden somewhere beneath the now solidified surface. Usually a little digging around in the wax with a knife can free up the wick and it can be lit again. Only once was I completely unable to rescue the drown wick and ultimately tossed half a candle into the trash.
Now I let them burn for a few hours, or until I see that the wax is too liquefied, and them I let them cool back down before re-lighting.
Having said all that, I intend to continue buying these candles because how good they are outweighs this one small issue.
Edit: I sort of figured out that the wick burns away very slowly so, as the wax level drops, the wick sticks out further and further and begins to curl. After a few hours, if the wax has liquefied completely, the curl at the top of the wick is what causes it to topple over into the molten wax. So, I’ve started snipping the curl off with scissors every so often and it seems that this will keep the wick from falling over into the wax.

The jar is kind of cool, but what disappointed me is the it just doesn’t smell like whiskey and tobacco. It just smells like a plain Jane candle. The packaging itself sets the tone: elegant, refined, with bold, dark colors that present a distinctly masculine sophistication often missing in the candle market. This is masterful design with customer-centered intention.
But the real test came when we lit them. The initial scent, which was already wonderful straight from the box, transformed our living room into something remarkable. These candles strike that elusive balance: present enough to create genuine ambience, yet subtle enough to never demand attention. They enhance a space rather than dominate it, which is precisely what great ambient design should do.
What’s more, they last a long time with a wick that burns perfectly and consistently bright. They obviously did not compromise the quality of the chosen materials.
Simply put, they got everything right: the product, the packaging, the personal touch, and most importantly, the experience.
We’ll absolutely be ordering more, and we recommend these without reservation.

If I were to describe the smell, I would say it smells like the smell of a candle once you just blow it out.
Packaging and aesthetic is nice as well as size for the price.
Unfortunately have had mahogany and teakwood in oils, other candles, waxes, etc and nothing that smells like this.

I want to give these 5 stars because the scent is phenomenal! If i could bathe in it, I would! But, I bought the pack of 2. And neither candle is actually usable. Both burned for a few hours, before the wicks dislocated, causing the wick to get lost in rhe wax. Ive purchased these candles before, last time I bought a variety pack. And the same thing happened to 1 of the 4. Also…having an option thats larger than 7oz would be great.

I was expecting it to smell more like the teakwood and mahogany from bath and body works. It doesnt at all and thats on me. It does have its own lovely scent

I got this candle as a gift. I love mahogany & teakwood scent but when I smelled this candle it does not smell like what I’m used to. The smell is very subtle and it smells more like a “fresh” bar of soap or something. Kinda disappointed but hopefully she likes it anyways.
