If your looking for something that has the taste and texture of coffee, this is not what you want. It’s a perfectly fine drink otherwise, though maybe a bit weak tasting to me, even at it’s most concentrated recommended mix ratio. I’m not sure someone could even identify this as instant coffee, let alone regular coffee.
The taste is not bad though, I found it perfectly drinkable with just a bit of sugar and nothing else added. Normally I can’t drink Americano style without creamer, so that may actually be a plus. I’m not sure how I’d describe what it actually tastes like, maybe more of a tea or a cider?
I’ve had mushroom coffee Nespresso pods before, which had actual coffee grinds in the pods along with the mushroom particles. That DID have a coffee texture, though may not be the best scale to compare instant coffee intended for Americano style to, but it was a huge difference to me.
Out of curiosity I weighed the bag. My scale showed it had a little bit over the advertised 30 servings, going by the 6 gram serving size. The extra weight is probably the bag itself. They are certainly honest about the weight.
If your looking for something new to try and convenient to make, this is worth checking out. If you don’t mind putting in the work to brew coffee from grounds or whole bean though, I often buy 40 oz bags for 13 bucks, which makes about 75 servings if I use 15 grams each. Your paying nearly double the price for this instant coffee brand, and getting less than half the servings for it. Between that price/value difference and the lack of coffee texture, I knock off two stars, though otherwise it’s not a bad product.

Not a straight-up mushroom coffee. It’s more of a mushroom latte, with MCT oil powder already mixed into the coffee powder for you. I use this more for an afternoon pick-me-up than for my morning cup (something stronger is necessary earlier in the day).
I love the taste of this, though. It’s very smooth and because it already has the MCT oil in it, I don’t even need to add my own creamer. I just mix in an extra spoonful of MCT oil powder for a bit more creaminess, froth it, and go back to work.
Like most mushroom coffees I’ve tried, it has a nice coffee flavor with an added earthiness from the mushrooms. It’s also low acid (my stomach thanks you!) and about half caff- so I can drink that coffee comfort without worrying about being up until 2am.

I got this mushroom coffee to try at work with a little magnetic stirring up I have there. I take a mushroom coffee supplement at home in the morning, and this one is comparable in taste (maybe a bit less sweet, and obviously more coffee, than the stuff I have an everyday dose of most days). I’ll go through the rest of the bag at work and consider reordering. At $27 for 30 servings, it’s on par with the other product, so I will probably end up doing a side-by-side taste test with milk (which I use at home but don’t have at work) and decide from there, But having made a couple of cups at work, I’m happy with the product on its own.

I recently started trying Margxo Mushroom Coffee and was intrigued by the 10-mushroom extract blend. The addition of coconut milk gives it a creamy texture, which is a nice touch. The flavor is earthy with a slight nuttiness, but it still tastes like coffee, just with a unique twist.
It mixes well, especially in hot water, and doesn’t leave any clumps. I’ve been using it as a coffee alternative in the mornings, but since I just started, I haven’t noticed any significant effects yet. I know supplements like this can take time to show results, so I plan to keep using it consistently.
I appreciate that it’s an easy way to incorporate functional mushrooms into my routine without having to take multiple supplements. If you’re open to trying mushroom coffee and enjoy a slightly earthy flavor, this seems like a solid option. I’ll update my thoughts as I continue using it.

I have tried several different brands of mushroom coffee in the past couple of years, and this is one of my favorites.
This medium roast coffee is smooth and very tasty; it’s easy-to-mix and made with clean/organic ingredients. I love the addition of the MCT oil for added health benefits, plus an extra boost of energy.
I drink a cup, or two, every morning.
Great value!

Coffee taste really great and has the right amount of caffeine so you do not feel the crash. Like the fact that it is organic and has 10 different mushrooms extracts as well. The coffee itself is also organic since it is instance coffee it mixes very well with water or milk. Taste great and gives the right amount of ingredients to feel energized. Like that it has organic MCT oil along with organic coconut milk making it taste creamier. Overall, a very good purchase.

I’ve really wanted to like mushroom coffee so I’ve continued to try various brands. This one legit smells good and, similar to coffee, tastes good with a little bit of creamer. Making it with milk is a delicious option as well if you like a little bit of protein and calories. I use an electric whisk frother thing which blends this powder in smoothly.

This was a completely new experience for me, as I had never tried (nor honestly ever heard of) mushroom coffee before getting this product. It was a pleasant surprise. My wife (a coffee every day person) and I (a coffee a few times a year person) both enjoyed the flavor of this beverage. I would characterize it as a coffee alternative, because even though it does contain instant coffee, the overall taste experience is not exactly coffee-like. I tried the Margxo mushroom coffee with a little added cream. Each sip initially hits like a weak, coffee-infused hot cocoa, then finishes with a pleasant, mild mushroom flavor. Both the scent and aftertaste are very similar to the scent of a freshly opened bag of dried Chinese black mushrooms. There is very little bitterness and I didn’t feel the need to add any sugar.

This mushroom coffee is very tasty in my opinion. When you open the bag there is a very pleasant sweet smell coming out. This powder coffee dissolves very easy in hot water. My first cup, I used two teaspoons and I felt it was a little weak, so for the next one I followed the instructions and added one tablespoon. It was a lot more richer and tastier. So definitely put a generous tablespoon in there if you want to feel the amazing taste. I didn’t feel that it has too much coffee content and in fact I would probably like more of it. Happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend.

So I have never tried mushroom coffee but I have heard of it. It’s an instant coffee that you just mix into hot water. It has coconut milk in it and it definitely has a coconut flavor to it which I really like. My mom and I enjoyed it but my stepdad not so much. It has an already creamy kind of taste to it so I didn’t even need to add creamer which is what I normally do with my coffee. Since it’s an instant coffee it is good for on the go and I put some into a baggie for my lunch box. I can’t compare it to other mushroom coffees but I did really enjoy this one and I think it’s a good choice if you’re a fan of coconut flavor.

DO NOT BUY THIS . Absolutely very little to NO mushroom powder in here. I did a bunch of solubility tests since something did not seem right because you have to put like three or four scoops in a cup just to develop any type of rich flavor. And there’s absolutely no sediment it is all coconut milk and very little cheap instant coffee.

Love this product. I drink it strong so I don’t get near 30 servings as suggested.

Very weak.. needed 2 heaping teaspoons of mushroom coffee for an 10 ounce cup and it still tastes weak. Unfortunately I bought 2 bags.. I bought a different brand before and it was great. Need to go back to other brand..
