As you see it still smokes. Its not terrible. But I’m not sure the 525 degree is true. Its not as bad as other oils though. Falls in line with avocado oil… Maybe a little better.

Very fast delivery, was expecting it on a saturday, arrived i think Tuesday or Wednesday before. Only used once for garlic and herb fried mushrooms, overdid the garlic so zero flavour difference compared to refined olive oil. If i can i will edit the review for a simpler recipe.

Algae cooking oil is a total game changer for my steaks. It has a super high smoke point, which means I can get a perfect sear without burning or smoking up the kitchen. The flavor is neutral, letting the seasoning and meat shine, and it crisps the outside beautifully while keeping the inside juicy. Plus, it’s a healthier option with good fats — win-win. Definitely a staple in my kitchen now.
Trey –
Sears meat wonderfully with very little to no smoke. Also doesn’t really add or subtract much taste to the food, which is better than some oils negatively affecting the taste. Looking forwards to cooking more with it!

The Algae Cooking Club Chef-Grade Algae Cooking Oil has become a kitchen essential for me.
•Flavor: Neutral and light, it lets the natural ingredients shine without overpowering the dish.
•Performance: With its high smoke point, this oil performs beautifully even during high-heat cooking. I’ve noticed significantly less smoke in the kitchen, and for the first time, my fire alarm stays quiet while searing!
•Health Benefits: Rich in healthy fats and low in polyunsaturated fats, it’s a much better alternative to olive, canola, or avocado oil.
As someone who’s cooked with olive oil for years, I was skeptical about trying algae oil. But after just a few uses, I’m a lifelong fan. It’s incredibly versatile—great for searing, baking, dressings, and more—and delivers consistent, excellent results.
While it’s a bit pricier than some oils, the quality, performance, and peace of mind it offers make it worth every penny. Highly recommend!

I don’t think I have a single bad thing to say about this oil. I have always used Olive Oil or Avocado Oil my entire life until I was put onto this oil and here are my take aways:
Pros:
* Not smelly in any way. In fact I don’t really notice a smell at all
* Does not add any weird flavoring to your food
* Extremely high quality while cooking
* Good source of Omega 3
* Super sustainable for the environment and your body
* HIGH BURNING POINT!! This is so much better than olive oil and feel on par with avocado oil
* A little goes a very long way. Especially if used in an atomizer glass bottle
* Lets be real, the bottle have a super nice design and will look good if displayed on a countertop or put away. It also has a very nice texture and an easy to use pourer.
Cons:
* It feels pricy. But if you use it in an atomizer than it goes a LONG WAY. I have barely made a dent after a month of cooking with it 5+ days a week!
* Although I enjoy the pour spout, my friends have had some gripes with using it. I gifted them a glass atomizer (Yes I know I’m mentioning it again) and they are in love with the combination now!
Absolutely worth it and I would recommend this over ANY other oil

I can’t believe it! It looks like oil, tastes like oil, and cooks like oil –it’s really good cooking oil! I’m really curious how they get the algae to produce oil like that. No idea if there’s any genetic engineering involved, or if it’s just natural selection of algae that oddly transform themselves into oil over time. Either way, the output is a cooking oil that works for stir fries. I haven’t yet tested it for frying an egg on stainless steel yet (a great test to see how the oil interacts with a stainless steel or carbon steel pan to create non-stick effects), but I’ve been cooking with it for a few days and am happy with the results.
Remember to get your daily ration of soylent green along with your algae oil! Mmm… Soylent green….

Best cooking oil for stainless steel cookware

Wow, this oil is fantastic! Very high smoke point tested multiple times in a ripping hot cast iron skillet. It smokes, but so much less. It cooks beautifully with a very light buttery flavor. I noticed I don’t need use very much of it to sear effectively compared with avocado oil. I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t leave that intense fried smell in my little house after I cook with it like all other oils and fats do. All around very pleased, it exceeded expectations!!

Great cooking oil, with a pretty neutral flavor and a high smoke point. I really like to use it on my stainless steel pans but it’s also perfect for making chili oil, mayo, and other condiments. Well worth the price and I find myself buying multiple bottles.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from algae cooking oil, but this one really impressed me! The high smoke point makes it awesome for frying, roasting, or anything high-heat. I did not know that you could get this high in smoke point (535°F) ! When you smell it, it really has a neutral flavor so we found it works with just about any dish. We tried it in meat, fish, vegetables like green beans, etc. It’s also light and blends well, so I think it will be great for dressings and marinades too although I have not tried it yet. I love that it’s made from algae. I know it is a healthier, more sustainable option. It’s become my go-to cooking oil, and I’ll definitely keep using it!

Best cooking oil. Smoke point is 535F. Neutral flavor.

I gave this a 4 star review because it is a bit pricey. But it does work amazing. I use this for my steel pan cooking. It is nice that it has such a high flash point, so no smoke when I put it in a hot pan. It doesn’t add a weird taste to my food either. I do recommend this product or you can use avocado oil from the grocery store at a cheaper price.

High smoke point is clutch when searing steaks. I’ve used it for steaks, pork, chicken with skin on and off, eggs (scrambled and over-easy), and quite a few pan sauces. Great nutral oil! The picky kids can taste when I use Avocado oil but zero complaints about algae oil so far. I will absolutely be adding this on subscription as my go to oil.

I’m happy to know Amazon sells this product because you can’t buy it in stores, or anything like it. It does a great job on steak searing and bringing out the flavor of steak without interfering with outside flavors. Because it is less saturated fat than lard or tallow I find this is an attractive feature of this oil, which I had no idea existed until I saw it on Facebook.
It’s perfect for high heat pan grilling, gor those of us who avoid grilled meats.
Jazmin Salas –
This oil has been my favorite by far. There’s no change in the taste of the food when using it. I have IBS (irritable bowl syndrome) and when I used this oil to fry food, it didn’t affect me. I was able to use it for high heat level frying around 360 degrees. Quality was really good.
