This book really delivers. It is a great introduction to holistic grooming and is very thorough without being dragged out. It covers a wide variety of aspects of holistic grooming and goes in a logical order of topics. The beginning of the book covers the importance of self care, which very few people in this industry talk about, so I was very happy with that. By the middle of the book it does deviate to more business related things that seem relatively unrelated to holistic grooming, but from my perspective all the guidance and advice given was from a holistic perspective/mentality and wasn’t too random or out of place. Though, with that said, this book isn’t completely about handling pets (if you’re someone looking into holistic grooming to figure out a better way to deal with difficult dogs) and it is geared a little more towards business owners. But the information included specifically on the pets was very practical and seemingly very useful, and so was the rest of the information in this book. It was written well, it wasn’t dry or boring to read. I think every groomer should read this book and every grooming business owner should have a copy of this.

Many tips to groom pets with less stress for them and groomers. Even after grooming pets one on one in a vet clinic with an holistic approach, I learned new useful tips. I would recommend to groomers wanting to perfect this approach.
