Took reviews seriously, made an aluminum wax catcher for it to protect it. Wood is wood. Reason I wouldn’t give as a gift, a flammable candle holder.

I do love this and plan on using it on my altar, but keep in mind that, unlike similar candle holders in different finishes, this candle holder is for regular sized taper pillar candles, NOT chime/spell candles! I bought it thinking I could use it with my chime candles (I see now that it makes no such claim, but some of their other finishes of the same holder do) but the brass piece that holds the candle is 2″ wide from outside points (1.75″ from inside points). So if you need a candle holder for your chime candles, this isnt the one for you! Otherwise, it is a beautiful, small candle holder that has a real wood feel to it and is small enough to share some space on my 25″dia. altar. Blessed Be.
