It tastes good, once the smell dissipates. But not worth the trauma of the pungent smell. I suppose it’s from the valerian root, but not for me. Cats went nuts for the scent. Put it in a ziploc bag and they rolled all over it drooling just like catnip.

I was not expecting this product to work as well as it did or as fast as it did. I slept incredibly after several nights of insomnia & didn’t wake up feeling groggy. This is a high quality sleepy time tea with a pleasant taste coming from someone who has tried several brands

This tea has a nice flavor. I’ve drank it before bed and it calms me down and helps me unwind. The chamomile and the passionflower taste good together.

I bought this tea many times because I was looking for a tea to help me sleep better at night. I tried teas with Chamomilein them and why I found them relaxing, they didn’t really make me tired enough to fall asleep. So I looked into Valerian teas. I’ve had more success with Valerian as a sleeping aid. I thought it would work as a tea and I’d tried other products with this particular brand so thought I’d try it. I also noticed it also used Lemon Balm in its mix and I’ve had success with Lemon Balm in the past to help with relaxation.

I tried the tea and found that Valerian and Lemon Balm were a good mixture. I fell asleep relatively quickly and although sometimes Valerian can produce dreams that are very vivid and sometimes unpleasant I didn’t have that issue with the tea. I fell asleep and didn’t feel too much hangover the next morning. For me, it’s been a good and effective product especially as someone with anxiety issues. And it’s at an affordable price. So I’ve been adding it to my list of items that are very useful to have handy!

I bought this set after buying Nighty Night from the grocery store and absolutely falling in love with it. I wanted to try the extra strength version that the store didn’t carry and decided to get the variety pack here. I’ll return with my thoughts on each flavor as I try them but wanted to go ahead and leave my feedback because I’ve loved my experience so far.

🌙Nighty Night: A very full tea with a delicious and refreshing minty lilt. Drinking this tea is one of the few things I look forward to eveyday and while it doesn’t have a sleepy affect it does work well to calm my nerves before bed.

💤Nighty Night Extra: Very similar to Nighty Night but also contains valerian root. Valerian root has a very distinct and rather unpleasant smell but it’s flavor isn’t unpleasant, it reminds me of dandelion tea. Extra had a bit more body than regular Nighty Night and had the same affect on my sleepiness.

🍃Lavender mint: This makes me feel like I’m drinking camomile tea. The distinctive floral taste of lavender coupled with refreshing mint is absolutely glorious. Perfect balance of flavors where the lavender is not too flowery, the mint not too electric… overall a very smoothing experience 😌

🧘Camomile Lavender: Unlike the Lavender Mint the Lavender is a bit too overpowering for the camomile. For me, it’s a bit too flowery and bitter in a way I can only balance with another less floral tea. Ideally I’d use another camomile but I didn’t have any so I used the Nighty Night and while the Lavender is still very strong it’s less biting.

🫖Cinnamon: I’ll be honest, I was NOT looking forward to trying this one. While I love a spicy ginger tea, cinnamon ain my thing 𝓱𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻, I paired it with a generous splash of banana pudding whisky, strawberry gin, a spoonful of jujubes in honey tea and it was absolutely heavenly, buttery even. The cinnamon alone is actually rather pleasant, I was expecting it to be overpowering but it’s not at all, more of a twange than in your face. It can actually lean fruity if you want it to, maybe throw in some lemon juice or peach tea. It could also go floral but I went the more cakey route (edit: I recently found the word for what I meant by cakey and it’s “gourmand” which are flavors like vanilla, chocolate and honey 😌) and think this would be great to deepen the flavor profile of a butter beer or hot cocoa. Though it stands it’s own it’s definitely a more subdued tea than the others.

🍋Lemon balm: Though lemon balm is part of the mint family it’s definitely more citrusy in flavor than minty. It does however have a slightly minty aftertaste that’s closest to spearmint in flavor and is easier to detect if you exhale through your nose between sips. This is the mildest of the tea flavors in this variety pack though it absolutely does have its own charm the slight lemony taste of this tea had me craving more. It tastes very much like lemon zest so while it’s distinctly lemony tasting it’s not super tangy. I decided to add a bag of lemon ginger tea with a couple splashes of lime to deepen and round out the perfectly cirtusy experience.

To sum everything up my favorite was definitely the Lavender Mint with Nighty Night coming in at a very close second. If you’re having issues with insomnia these teas unfortunately are not the answer but they are certainly useful in setting the stage for a restful night’s sleep which is a fundamental part of good sleep hygiene. I personally have found cbn and indica gummies to be very useful and will mix them in my tea to amplify the calming affect of the tea and the sleepy affect of the gummies in this oddly perfect synergy that has my eyelids drooping before I can even finish the cup. I hope my review was helpful, happy steeping 😌

I have 1 cup shortly before bedtime and it has shortened the time it takes me to fall asleep which was one of the reasons I bought this. My Fitbit also showed less wake ups during the night. I add a little sugar to it but that’s a personal choice. I wish it came with more than 16 bags for the price but it seems to be working so I will continue to buy.

My husband and I drink this tea every night before bed. He seems to think it helps him sleep. I am not too sure, but it does seem to have a calming g effect. But, we both enjoy the taste. It is a mild, almost minty, pleasant taste. The smell is another story! It smells like stinky feet. As soon as you tear the paper it hits you. It honestly does not make the tea less appetizing. In spite of the smell, it is really good.

The tea has a pleasant flavor and is organic, but I didn’t notice a strong relaxing effect. Works for mild relaxation, but not very potent for deep sleep. Decent option if you like herbal teas.

These are amazing, but you need to let them steep for at least 15 minutes which it does say on the box. I also use more than one teabag. It helps me be able to fall asleep and/or relax on those nights when I’m a little wound up. I would highly recommend either for helping to sleep or just relaxing. And they are very tasty.

That’s the entire thing. This works (for me) . I boil the water in a COSORI Electric Gooseneck Kettle (get one. seriously . it’s a great thing to have for tea/hot water and saves you a bunch of time) .

Anyway. I boil the water to about 190 in the kettle. I then pour the water into a larger mug , say 12oz , ceramic mug. Quick note. DON’T tear open the package until JUST before you pour water on it in the mug. That will limit the “distinctive” odor. And yes, it really does smell bad. The Valerian root packs a punch. Read up on it in case your are curious as to why the smell is there. Long story short : Acid and Oils . Funny note – If it does not smell bad then your product isn’t genuine.

Note: I neglected to mention this but it is VERY important. This product contains Valerian Root. Valerian Root is meant to adjust the body for ones restful sleep over time, reducing anxiety and restlessness, consistent sleep support. Support for Sleep. Basically it helps you relax and find a better sleep pattern. This change is gradual and not meant as a quick fix for a good night’s sleep. Your process to find THAT sleep may take a few days and or week.It DOES work but that change is gradual. It helps to build a restful sleep over time.

If you want something immediate then look for a product that contains Melatonin. Melatonin is produced from your body while Valerian Root is a plant based herb that takes some time to change the body via GABA. And THAT is something that the Root does . It increases GABA in the brain .

I can not stress this enough : Look for something that has Melatonin. THIS is meant to help a person fall asleep. Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra is a good example for something that contains chamomile, spearmint and others ( It contains Valerian too but that amount is used to help the effectivness ) .
Look for Twinings Superblends Sleep+ for something stronger and immediate use .

Also. Do NOT take Valerian and Melatonin at the same time. Yes the one product has Valerian too but not in an amount one may think. For example : Do NOT drink this tea (Nighty Night Extra Tea With Valerian Root) with something like sleep+ ( Melatonin ) . It will REALLY screw up your body.

Does it have a particular scent? Yes. Is it the most tasty thing? No. But it’s not unbearable and it WORKS. I slip off into such a nice sleep every night I won’t go without it. My boyfriend also has always had issues sleeping and this helps him as well.

I tried this tea for about a year and a couple of months. Do not expect to drink and fall to the floor asleep. However, it did help relax me ALOT, even just the smell after taking it for a while relaxed me. And I get a better nights rest when I take it, feeling more energized in the morning than normal. When I first bought it, I was experiencing trouble sleeping and it helped and now that I’m experiencing trouble with noisy neighbors, its still helping me relax enough to fall asleep.

This tea knocks me out. Literally Nighty Night! Within 15 minutes I’m drowsy. I tried so many different supplements, nothing works better than this tea. I use a small tea cup and let it steep for at least 5 minutes; longer is better. I’m not drinking it like I drink other teas. The goal is to drink it up in a few sips. The cons here are…smells like feet to me and taste ok. I can get it down. But it wouldn’t be my first choice for enjoying a cup of herbal tea. 5 stars for sleep effect, 4 for the taste

Excellent quality and price! I use this to relax both before bed and if I’m having a bad day. It works well for me. I steep it for about 12-15 minutes. The taste is good but the smell is not as good. It relaxes me when I’m having anxiety and helps to stop the racing thoughts at bedtime. I’ll rotate this with Chamomile & Lavender tea. I find this one works a little better.

I sleep better using this tea. Tastes good also. Only problem I have is that in all 3 deliveries, at least 1 or more of the boxes are smashed. Fortunately, the teabags inside have been OK so far. This is on the packager, not the delivery guy or the Tea company.

I bought this tea to help with my insomnia, and it is honestly the best nighttime tea I’ve ever tried. Not only did it help me fall asleep quickly, but I also stayed asleep through the entire night, which is rare for me.

The only downside is the smell. The taste isn’t great, but it’s manageable. However, the smell is pretty strong and unpleasant. As soon as you open the tea bag, you can smell it immediately—it almost has a sewer-like odor. I literally drink it without breathing too deeply.

If you can tolerate a strong smell, this tea is absolutely worth it. For anyone struggling with insomnia, I 100% recommend it.

Tea is good, helps me relax to sleep. But the packaging is ridiculous, shipping a soft box of tea in a bag, by usps and they crush it everytime. Needs to be in a box.

If you struggle sleeping all through the night or falling into a deep REM, try this! I drink it with nothing added to it right before I’m ready to go to bed. It tastes good, it doesn’t need anything added like sweetener.
