LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! Stays on all day, including after eating and drinking- doesn’t wear off patchy or make your lips dry and doesn’t settle into fine lines. Great product for great price! Looking forward to buying more colors! Easy to use as well!

The COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain delivers rich, vibrant colour that lasts way longer than most lip products I’ve tried. Once it sets, it doesn’t easily rub off — even after eating or drinking — so you don’t have to reapply constantly.
It feels surprisingly comfortable for a stain — not too sticky or heavy. It’s not as dry as some other long-wear formulas, but I would still recommend putting a lipgloss over it.
Overall, this lip stain gives excellent staying power and bold colour, with a comfortable feel and great value for the price.

The best lip liner stain on the market! It lasts so long, blends well if you put a gloss over it quickly & the range of colors is nice. I wish the range of colors was even larger! It is not drying, but I always wear a gloss or balm on top. I’ve had mine for over a year and it has not dried out. It still applies well and a little goes a long way! Lasts even after oily meals, for 8+ hours.

Pretty mauve lip stain that lasts for hours. A true “marker” style lip stain that won’t budge. #20 Admire is more pigmented than in looks in swatches; it’s a darker mauve but very nice. Apply carefully because it’s not going anywhere if you make a mistake! Feels a little sticky at first but dries down nicely. Recommend this over those “peel-off” lip stains any day.

Bought this for my purple and black witch costume and it was great. Definitely a lipstain feel, not a lipstick feel, which is exactly what I was looking for. It lasted through my daughter’s halloween dance and didn’t smudge. Would buy again.

i got the “admire me” shade. th color is a QUITE a bit lighter than expected which is very disappointing. other than that, the pen point tip is AMAZING for that sharp lining of the lips! the tip seems very sturdy. it’s a light application and you can’t even feel it throughout the day. what’s even better, is it ACTUALLY stays. for. hours. i work in a restaurant and a hair salon so it’s very hard for me to be able to stop and reapply my lip liner. well, now i don’t have to worry about it!! worth the money (although the shipping is a bit high) it’s worth the base price of $8. i recommend!!

The product is good. But the color is EXTREMELY similar to shade 45 Brazen Raisin. I ordered both at the same time, and the color is so similar I thought they sent me the same one twice.

Review is for Color: 20 Admire
Lip stains are my favorite lip product these days, but I am particular about them. I don’t like the types that use a wand and then we dip it into liquid. Since Covergirl Outlast Lipstain is like a marker, I was excited for it. I like using this as my lip liner since it goes well with PH lipsticks by Magic Kiss and MoodMatcher. I don’t see myself using the CG lipstain alone since it’s semi drying and can be patchy. I only have one color so I don’t know if every shade is patchy. To be clear, the lipstain doesn’t cause my lips to be dry. It’s just not moisturizing the lips. Depending on the baseline of your natural lips the experience will be different for everyone. I think CG lipstains are best used with a gloss, topper, or another lipstick to fill in my lips. I apply the lipstain on dry, clean lips. I allow it to fully dry before applying something over it.
It’s a matte finish. However, nothing is transferproof on my lips including this product since I snack/eat often throughout the day. Transfer is minimal and it doesn’t get messy compared to traditional lipstick. It’s probably long lasting and smudge-proof if you fast. Pigmentation was good. Better than r.e.m. beauty’s lip stain marker. It has a light fruity smell. Almost cotton candy at times. Non-offensive. Not overpowering. I did not notice any bitter taste in my mouth. Made in the USA with imported parts. I really have no complaints about this product besides the color is wrong for me.
I chose Admire (20) because I thought it was a lightish pinky mauve. Instead, it’s a dark mauve color like 90’s grunge. A plum shade. Keep in mind I am light-skinned with yellow undertone. It would look different on a deeper skin tone. The swatches/doodling I did on my hand looks lighter than on my lips. It was quite difficult to capture the color accurately in my photos. Hopefully my review is still helpful. I want to order more colors so I’ll update my review in the future. Would I recommend this lippie? It’s definitely not for everyone. It really depends on what you want out of it or expect from it. I have buck teeth and traditional (waxy/creamy) lipsticks always get stuck on my teeth so I find lipstains/PH lipsticks work the best for my type of mouth. My options are kind of limited.

Product came with a completely white tip unlike the photo that has the ink. There’s no button on it for u to push the ink out. I tried shaking it and there is completely no ink.

I purchased it after seeing a video on instagram, it didn’t glide like the video suggested and neither did it look like depicted in the video. It goes on a lot darker and patchy. Not a fan

This is a great, long lasting lip stain. It lasts almost all day even after eating and drinking. The pigmentation is great, the colors we have have all popped. It is not moisturizing but with a little gloss or lip balm on top it’s great. It is pretty easy to apply and the tip is pointed for easier use.

Major bummer. I was excited to get this lipstain in the Extra Witchy color, but I was shipped a lipstain with the plastic sticker seal already broken as if it has been opened and used already. There were also drops of the stain around the top of the applicator which I would not expect for a brand new unopened product. Clearly had been messed with. : / I know this is the seller/ manufacturer’s fault and not an Amazon worker because the broken-seal lipstain marker was then repackaged in an additional sealed plastic pouch. So, it had been repackaged for sale despite the sticker seal being obviously contaminated. Not sure I will try again to buy these here, even though the other color I got appears to be sealed and unused (I hope), but it was not packaged in an additional clear plastic pouch like the unsealed one. Honestly the factory sticker seal on these seems really insufficient and easily compromised. That’s probably CoverGirl’s fault, overall. But beware. Check your item closely upon receiving! I had to ask Amazon for a refund on this one. Also, the lipstain markers are way skinnier than I imagined, so it’s unlikely you get much product, and they surely would not last through many applications.

Color is nice. Size of the tip is nice. It stays on for a decent amount of time. Doesn’t dry my lips out. But the pen itself dried up, and reminded me of an old Crayola marker really quickly after I used it only a few times. Could be good for travel, since you don’t get many uses out of it.

BRAZEN RAISEN is a much deeper color than my lip. However, I love having a darker liner to smudge down and blend into my lip color. The application is smooth and the color texture after blending down into my lip is exactly what I want it to be. It has no foul smell and it great value for the money. It’s not the most long lasting lip liner but you can layer it and let it dry completely on your lips for a more smudge-proof application.

I get this in shade “admire” which is perfect for me as a pale cool toned girly (it’s hard to find good cool toned pinks iykyk) and I’ve gotten so many compliments and it also creates a very natural “clean” look used by itself, like I’m not wearing anything on my lips it makes my lips look so much fuller naturally, just this product alone. I’ve bought many and have not had a single dud and they last months with me using them daily.

It lasted very long on my lips and has a very nice colour, I ordered it on the shade admire.

Beautiful lip stain with a very natural, flattering color. The pen-style applicator makes it easy to apply precisely, and it glides on smoothly without feeling heavy. It gives the lips a soft stained look that lasts nicely throughout the day. Great quality and a lovely shade that works well for everyday wear.
Sherry –
If I could I would give this like a 4.5 stars. It works greats, lasts long; but it does dry out my lips like nothing else. If you use this just make sure to keep a good lip balm on you and/or hydrate. But I love the colors (I got two and they’re so nice before and after removing the stain) and it lasts minimum of 8 hrs (I haven’t worn it longer than that).

I wanted a quick, everyday lip stain I could swipe on and forget about, and the COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in 45 Brazen Raisin comes pretty close. The color is gorgeous — a flattering, buildable stain that looks great alone or layered under lip balm. The precise pen-like tip makes application so easy, even on the go.
Here’s the honest truth:
• It applies beautifully — smooth, lightweight, and not sticky at all.
• The color payoff is great — especially for a drugstore lip stain.
• It’s comfortable — honestly feels like nothing is on your lips.
• Cruelty-free & vegan is a big plus.
My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5? It doesn’t last as long as I hoped. It holds up for a while, but it can be wiped off fairly easily after a few hours, especially if you’re eating or drinking. I wouldn’t call it a true all-day stain.
That said, for the price, the color, and the ease of use, it’s still a great throw-in-your-purse lip product. Perfect for quick touch-ups and natural “your lips but better” days.
