Years ago, Spice Islands used to make a Thai seasoning that was perfect for making Pad Thai from scratch. Then they stopped making it, and I have been on the hunt for a replacement ever since. This one comes the closest. What I liked about this one is that the heat level is low, so I can adjust the heat level myself according to taste by adding cayenne, etc. Others I’ve tried have such a high heat level you have to use them sparingly. Additionally, salt is not the first ingredient, and it’s in the middle of the ingredients list. I appreciate that as well. This has the most wonderful fragrance as you are cooking with it, so you can tell the spices are fresh.

Hubby has AGS-if you know anything about this it’s essentially a mammal allergy but that includes spices, medications, food, gelatin, caragheenan and white sugar which is filtered through charred cow bone to get the white color. This has no cinnamon nor allspice-which is what we were looking for. Used ground turkey, 2 eggs and this spice to make gyros and sliced it thin. Delicious. Also as a chicken rub and on a oven skewer platter with onion or pineapple at the bottom and top. It’s very yummy
