This is a lovely pendulum that works. I placed it on a tray to avoid sand particles being strewn on the table top.

I find it slightly overpriced, slightly underperforming, but it still does what it was intended to do. The plastic arm arch is wobbly. The sand plate is flat when it could be dished to draw over a larger area. The metal hangar, cable and pendulum are nice quality. The ring link was a nice feature that provides more sway in the drawing. The sand flattener was cheap. The box it came in made for a better tool. I would of also gave it 5 stars where it much cheaper.

Not only does it work great for a little calming of the anxiety, it also stimulates my mind and is quite relaxing to watch as well.. almost mesmirizing. I wish there was a little lip to keep the sand inside the tray a bit better but it provides me with such entertainment that i dont care all that much, Awesome for yourself or to gift to others. Its the only one of its kind that i have seen so far and it would make a wicked cool, unique gift

Doesn’t really work as it should. I think that the arm bar is too short to really get the pendulum in action with gravity. But they couldn’t make it longer because it’s made of cheap plastic. Even at the small scale, the arm bar is very fragile.

Not only is this entertaining it’s educational. I have it on my kitchen table and everyone loves to watch the designs it makes naturally. It’s affordable, great gift idea and was delivered quickly. May want to keep it up out of a toddlers way though! 😂

Have returned this item…not metal as description read, very small base poor quality plastic. Definitely not worth the money paid for it. Waiting for a refund.

I feel like the string is too long. I am not sure but it is way too close to the sand so I removed some sand so that the pendulum can move more freely but I do not think I did it correctly. I used the pin and rolled it around but all I did was make a mess with the sand. When I ask a question I feel I have to move it. I thought it was supposed to move on its own with energy! I am so confused. It looks nice at my altar but I feel like its an object I know nothing about!

The idea of Foucault’s Pendulum is a well known way to demonstrate earth rotation. But between the cheap plastic, short wire and minuscule pendulum, this “science sculpture” is really a toy that makes pictures in sand. If oscillating art is your goal, then this item will work. But do not expect it to do anything more.

The pendulum is too long so it barely swings and the bowl is so rounded the sand spills out, I Jimmy rigged a temporary fix but I shouldn’t have to. Base is plastic and I don’t love it

I bought this for my office, it’s very nice and everyone who walks in loves playing with it. It took a while for me to figure out how to make it make designs, came to figure out I had poured too much sand in the tray so make sure you don’t have a lot of sand so it can move well to create the beautiful designs.
