She does not prefer the less comfy surface but accepts it and is not likely to chew and destroy as she so often does. The reverse side of the bed is more comfortable and preferred because of the softness but she rapidly chews hunks out of the surface fabric exposing the core sponge base material. Anyway, I highly recommend this mattress for reasons said and you cannot beat the price!

This came in such a small box I thought I’d ordered the wrong thing!! But it’s like one of those mattresses that expand once you cut them out of the plastic.and my dog fits on it and loves it and it has a cover that comes off and can be washed. I recommend this dog bed. It’s thick enough to be comfortable but thin enough that it doesn’t feel like it’s taking up all the space in the room.

Didn’t even last 2 months. We had this delivered at the end of February and it’s now April 6. I was hoping it would because it fits perfectly inside his crate, and it looked like it would be super comfortable. I figured chances were good he’d chew the cover, but no worries because the cover is replaceable. Well in a matter of maybe 10 minutes tonight, he shredded the cover and was tossing bits of the foam bed itself outside of the crate.
The bed looks nice. It appears sturdy (but isn’t sturdy enough). It keeps things quiet inside the crate. Putting the cover on over the foam to fully assemble the bed is easy. For all of this, I gave the bed 3 stars. I mean, it IS a very nice bed – if you have a dog that won’t chew it up.
I would NOT recommend this for anyone with a dog that likes to chew. It’s way too expensive to have to keep purchasing every 2 months. I’m so disappointed. I had high hopes for this bed, and even bought another one from the same company, along with a comforter and sheets for our own bed.

He was awoken from his slumber to take this photo, haha. He used to tolerate his cage, but now he runs in there and lays down even if we leave the door open. It’s very soft and comfy, easy to put the cover on.

I do not recommend this dog bed. I have a german shepherd and I consider is a smart breed that does not chew on anything they see. After some time of use, the dog decided it had enough of the bed and started ripping and eating it. Thing about dogs is when they have something they consider a nuisance, they try to chew and swallow it to make it disappear. Dog started coughing and kind of choking like it was really sick and lost appetite. Had to drive the dog to the vet at night because a piece of the foam got stuck in the dog’s stomach and it cost me 1K$ in care to be told the dog ate its bed and I had to watch its poop for the next two days so that troubles would be ruled out. I washed the cover about two times and the zipper ripped off. The top is also thin and of poor material. So now the dog sleeps on its carpet covered with blankets that he never chewed on. The dog bed looks fine and high quality at first, but appearances revealed deceiving. But I concede some dogs will love their new beds. Just did not work in our case and I consider it was a waste of money that I will remember. No more of these beds and I will continue to use fluffy blankets that are way less expensive, more durable and no health hazard at all for the dog compared to these beds.

We bought this dog bed as the first bed for our 5 month old puppy. I thought this bed would be destroyed within a few days as puppies do what puppies do. To my amazement, this dog bed is very well made and puppy shark teeth proof. Seriously, our puppy tries his best to chew, pull, dig and destroy his new bed. He hasn’t succeeded yet almost four weeks later. The bed still looks as good as when it arrived from Amazon.

Great dog bed for a good price! I’ve purchased this bed once before and it held up really well. Love that you can wash the cover. The Sherpa material is really soft and warm. The large size is perfect for my 45lb pup. The only downside is that the bed isn’t waterproof. Had to get rid of the last bed because my cats peed on it and it got down to the foam layer.

My dog loves this bed and it’s big enough that she fits on it comfortably. She’s an 80lb malamute so dog bed sizing is iffy but this is a great bed.. She actually frew up on it last night after getting sick because she stole a piece of BBQ Chicken pizza and I was not quick to get out of my cozy bed to clean it, none of the puke soaked through the outer casing to the egg crate bedding. I threw it in the washer and dryer after cleaning off all the chunks and it came out good as new. She went and laid right back on it. She’s sitting here watching me write this review. I’d definitely buy another one if I ever need it. It’s soft and keeps her cool in the summer.

As a Liberal, I am told to boycott amazon (for some fairly good reasons) but as a consumer with limited funds….just can’t. I will however boycott PetCo for blatant price gouging. This bed is as good as it gets for the price. My dogs love it and I expect it to last as long as the last one did, especially since the fabric on the bottom is better than the last one. No, folks, I need amazon. My local stores are a huge disappointment and have been for almost a decade.

Deliverd in a surprising small box! As other reviewers have noted, the foam expands very well while you do the first wash and machine dry the cover. Althouh thinner than expected, appears comfortable for large dogs. Please be aware that it is thin enough for a young large dog to bite through when it gets excited, the polyester cove will be punctured by shrp teeth.

I have two small puppies and they love sleeping in this bed!
The case is easy to wash and fits snug over the foam inside. The foam padding has held its shape for a few months now and there aren’t any tears in the case, despite my puppies sometimes having the urge to dig at it before they sleep. The bed looks simple and wonderful and the color appears exactly as it does in the photo.

My 85lb Goldendoodle loves her new bed. Since she is 9, her former bed was getting too soft and big for her to turn around with her bit of arthritis. This bed came quickly, I let the foam insert sit outside for about 8 hours (didn’t notice much difference but that was what the directions suggested). Got this bed for my dog before he passed away and got this again for my puppy. This bed is super comfortable and the grip stops it from sliding all over the place. All I had to do was take it out the box and let it inflate for about 2 hrs before putting the cover on and letting my dog use it. This is very easy to open up and it’s warm for cold nights but breathable for warm summers. I have one in my dogs large crate right now.

I was expecting something similar to the Kirkland Signature 36″ x 40″ Pillow Top Orthopedic Dog Bed minus the pillowtop. A speedy delivery I knew, by the size of the box, that it would not have anything close to the loft of the Kirkland Pillowtop but that it should be easier to clean. While I haven’t washed it yet, the fabric appears much more resistant to staining and should be easier to wash. And while not perhaps as soft and cushy, it is actually a few inched larger so no complaints on size. This would be an ideal bed for our 55 lb. dog but she is constantly vying for whatever bed we try to get for the ‘big guy’, so large it is.

I have bought many of them for my dogs. I had to replace them due to things my dogs did to them, not due to the beds not lasting. I currently have 3 around my house and the dogs always use them whichever room they are in. Attractive to look at, easy to take on trips and soft.

The bed was great but it’s just not exactly what I need. It didn’t fit the kennel which is my fault for not properly measuring. But it’s also not waterproof. And it has a soft cover and once I put it together I realized my dog is very messy coming in and out and I need one that’s waterproof and also fits his kennel. So this would work for a little baby that stays in the house but my huge mix Malamute shepherd needs a waterproof bed with a leather feel. Because he also gets hot easy so he had probably rather not have a warm bed.

Picky dog approved! I bought this for my German Shepherd (XL- he’s 85lbs) and he loves it. Just thick enough to pad him from the floor but not too squishy he won’t use it. I really love this dog bed. I actually use it in the trunk space of my SUV (Subaru forester) so that my pup has a comfy place to sit when traveling. It also makes an excellent diaper changing station when I’m out and about with my little one. It’s a good amount of padding and wide enough that it fills the entire trunk space. When I need to put luggage back there instead, the dog bed folds easily in half and I believe it has little snaps to keep it folded in place.
In summary, the dog bed is soft, looks nice, is lightweight, and worth every penny. If this one ever bites the dust I’ll promptly buy another.

So I ordered the bigger size (44x32x3) about a year ago.. My dog’s love it! I bought it for my English lab who weighs about 100 lbs. He is huge!!! The bed is perfect size for him! I later bought the 30x20x3 for my medium sized dog. He weighs about 25 lbs. That size is so perfect for him. I love how the covers can be removed and washed. I have done that a couple times without issues. The black is such a good look…it does show stuff but that just happens with time…give it a wash and good to go. Easy to put cover back on. Great fabric quality. The inside is an egg crate type cushion. It doesn’t flatten. My large dog chews literally everything up…but he left the beds alone oddly…I think he knows they’re keepers lol. While alternatives at local available pet stores or even Costco would cost 15-30% more, this offers high quality foam (by dog bed perspectives) and our Large / XL breed dog immediately took to it and loves it.
