We read on all the different pheromone diffusers and selected this brand. My kitty has severe separation anxiety. We adopted him from the local shelter at 1 year of age. The story is he had been fostered, but then given back to the shelter and placed with 2 angry female kitties. The first week in his new home we spent much of the time half under the bed hiding from the world with him 🙂
He has adapted very well to his knew home, but still gets so anxious and panicky every time a visitor comes. The Calming Cat Diffuser has certainly helped. We plug in a week before and family visits and our Kitty is much more relaxed – He may even make an appearance to see the family. Each vial lasts about 7-10 days, not the 30 days we expected. It is costly, but it does work. There is a light fragrance, but not overwhelming. Kitty Approved!

My cat is a rescue. He is an 8 year old neutered male whose owner died. He and his three other sins were sent to a shelter to be separated and adopted. Both of these traumas were just too much. Every morning at 4:30 AM his internal clock wakes him to the realization that he is alone and he begins the saddest caterwauling in hopes that someone will answer. It is heartbreaking. After innumerable trips to the vet, their only option was to tranquilizer him nightly and even that did not cut through his circadian rhythm. In desperation, like a mother with a new baby, I searched for something to give him relief. I found Relaxivet and was stunned to find it work very quickly. When first plugged in the aroma of flowers was perceptible. But very quickly this became unnoticeable. The aroma mimics the smell of a mother cat while nursing and relaxes and comforts your pet. I chose RelaxiVet because I was able to see clearly on the box what the contents of the aroma was made of. This product worked as promised. My two cats, especially the young one (1 year old), are noticeably calmer, especially at night. He settles down and meows a lot less during the night. And when the diffuser is on, he is less aggressive with the older cat (11 years old). The first diffuser lasted less than a month, but I realized I can have it on half the time and get the same effect. Price is better than the straight pheromone products and the lavender scent is pleasant and relaxing.

These work as claimed. It has calmed/corrected the behaviors we were hoping it would help with – cats fighting and peeing on our beds. BUT – the wick on these does not reach all the way to the bottom of the container and into the area where it can actually put off the scent. So, on the 2nd bottle I poured what was left from the first bottle into the top of the 2nd (which was just a thin ring at the bottom) and then I cut a portion of the wick off the 1st bottle and sunk it in the bottom of the new one. When I put it all back together the new wick was positioned on top of the sunken one and the 2nd bottle has been able to put off the scent for the entire contents of the bottle. This is a design flaw – they need to fix it. The wick is about 1/2-3/4 inch too short to use all of the product in the bottle. I used this in conjuntion with the Relaxivet Calming collars and Nature’s Miracle Cat Calming Spray on surfaces I didn’t want them peeing on.

I used to buy another recommended brand but when I can’t get it I buy this one which works just as well. This type of item can be very expensive to buy but this brand is slightly cheaper. I have been using this item for years as I have a very nervous cat & this seems to calm her down & also calm down the dominant cat in the house. They plug in to the powerpoint so I put one in the family room/kitchen area & one in the lounge where they hang out.

it worked better on my cat before they changed the scent. the older version worked great. also the new difuser bottle is a new design too. when you take the lid off it spills. that stuffs pretty expensive to waste a bunch everytime you open it…kinda burns your skin too. please change it back or make another one that’s scented.

The way this item is designed is what S&W should of used in the first place. I did learn an easier way to release the slide over time, but the Galloway Precision plate is so much easier and quicker. No more fingers slipping off or fingernails being ripped just to get the slide removed. The stock plate doesn’t let fingers have good hold. This plate is slightly longer and having wider taper at bottom, gives a more natural finger hold for grip.
When removing old plate, it’s got a slot that a flat spring is riding in, to keep plate centered and under constant upward pressure, you will need to press down with a small object(I used a very small flat-tip screwdriver) and turn framework to it’s side, the plate will slide out. Be careful of spring falling out also when releasing pressure. Slide new plate in from either side and once the spring contacts the plate on bottom you can then release spring and continue guiding plate to other slot and spring catches the center cutout slot of plate. You’re done.
Works like a champ and takes out the slight slop in the gun’s frame-slot, that stock slide take down plate has. Everyone, needs one of these for ease of disassembly.

Nope do not like the new formula at all. I have bought these before and they worked well but now they don’t work and they smell horrible even my cats turned up their noses to them. And unfortunately I can’t return so I’m out $20+ dollars and have to find another brand. I even tried to reach out to the company and their customer service and they only said that acknowledged that they changed the formula and assured me the product still works. But did not offer a replacement or refund or resolution. Never buying this brand again. Don’t waste your money.
