I just got this product. I’m giving it a 1 star for the “smell”. I picked the chicken flavor and it smells nothing like that! The best I can describe is a fresh/citrus/herb like smell. Very odd and definitely not something my cat likes in her food! I have to use a syringe now and have her take it that way, which it’s not what I wanted to do. I’ll give it some time to see if it works, at least.

One of my two cats has developed allergies this year, and was itching and pulling his hair so bad, I took him to the vet. It was her that recommended this product, in combination with a prescription for antiseptic foam, to help him be more comfortable and stop ripping the hair off his back.
Within one dose, I noticed him not lick himself as much, and just chocked it up to the foam. When I stopped using the foam and started to only use this, the hair pulling was still absent, and I knew it had done the job.
This smells like catnip, or at least it does to me, which makes dosing it so easy — go out and buy yourself one of those baby medicine syringes, and use that to dose your cat. Start lower, and then work your way up. The way he likes to take it (and my other cat, who refuses to let him have any unless HE also gets some) is by putting it in wet food, mixing it with a little catnip. That way, I don’t think he can taste the medicine, and he eats the whole thing.
10/10 it saved me from more very expensive bills, and from having to shave him to make him comfortable.

I’ll leave 2 stars because my very picky 14yr old cat actually tolerated it (seafood flavor); she normally turns her nose at ANY food with medicine/additives, but she had no issue with this one (I was actually shocked). But in all honesty, this did nothing for her severe skin dermatitis caused by flea allergies. I noticed zero difference after giving her this for 2 weeks.
But after a $140 vet visit, and antibiotic shot, my baby girl is doing amazing, zero issues.
Take your babies to the vet if you haven’t yet and they’re suffering with allergies/skin issues; this is just going to stress you out waiting and wondering if it’s doing anything.
To be fair, it might work for you and your baby, but didn’t for me and mine.

this does have an odor to it if i put it in the food then my cats wont eat, i put it in the water and they dont seem to mind but the dose gets diluted . .

This is medicine for cats to help with itchy skin. It smells very plasticy when it is supposed to be odorless for picky cats. I had my own dropper and put 1.5 tsp down my cats throat. Within 5 min she vomited everything up. I clicked yo return this item as I just rec’d it and it says non-returnable? No other explanation from Amazon.

Took a chance and bought this product based on reviews, however.. I ordered the seafood flavor because thats all my cats like in their food choice. After mixing it in their regular food they vomited after the first dose.
Needless to say, not only would I not recommend it, it’s also not eligible for a refund. So lesson learned, the Vender got paid, I’m out $13.00 and have two unhappy felines.. 🙁 Interestingly, The product isn’t available as of date “mmm” wonder why???

I think it’s working… I have been using this for about a week and a half and my girl is biting a lot less. She was to the point of obsession before this, now she only bites during her regular grooming habits. I first tried to see if she would take it alone, I bought the seafood flavor, she smelled it but said no, I’m OK. She hates anything medicinal, but mixing it with food, she eats it all, which really surprised me. It doesn’t smell like seafood to me in any form, but she doesn’t mind it as long as there is wet food or churu, she actually looks forward to it in her churu – and neither of those things masks the smell from me. Her food intolerance results leaves a lot to be left out, but hopefully this continues to help. She doesn’t seem miserable anymore. Buying bottle #2, I will adjust my review if I see new and improved results in the coming weeks.

My poor kitties! They both had the after effects of flea bites, which they got from the neighbor’s yard and I was wondering if this would work. They are both 17 and the boy kitty is VERY picky about his food so I was worried he wouldn’t take to it. The girl kitty eats just about anything you put in front of her. She was constantly tormented by the scabbing and the boy kitty was getting bad but not as much as his sister. I split it up into 2 doses and mixed it with their beef flavored hip and joint liquid medicine and some canned food. I got the unflavored. It has a very faint smell and taste from the rosemary but they like rosemary, I have a plant on my deck. It started working almost immediately and the scabs are almost completely gone! Now they can sit on my lap and not get kicked off because of all their digging and snorting. Happy happy joy joy!

We purchased this product for our cat who suffers from allergies and/or a chronic nasal discharge. We hoped this item would alleviate her stuffiness, but she had no interest in consuming it. We attempted to use some mixed in with her food but she didn’t fall for it. We did not attempt to give it to her using a syringe because, frankly, the thought of holding her and trying to get it down her gullet frightens us a little. I’m sure this works for other cats, just unfortunately not our Olive.

This stuff is amazing! We have had our senior cat for about a year now, last summer she was itchy and we noticed she groomed a lot more than our other rescue but it was not too bad. This year she is so itchy that she is pulling out her fur and creating red splotches on her skin. She will not eat Benadryl even when crushed up in her food, she just simply will not eat if it’s in there. I was worried that she would not like the taste of this but I mix it with other treats and give it to her around lunchtime and she eats every bit. I do a couple of drops of temptations creamy purée on the bottom of the bowl, drop a couple of temptations crunchy treats, then pour the medicine, then add a couple of crunchy treats on top and a couple of drops of purée and she eats every bit. I use a small bowl, like for ketchup, so she can’t really eat the treats around the medicine. If she wants the treats she has to eat the meds too. She started the medicine on Tuesday 6/21 first photo was her belly on Thursday 6/23 and the second photo was Monday 6/27. I did not get a photo before she started the meds but her whole belly was enflamed and bright red before taking this medicine. We noticed the next day that she already was not itching as much. We got the seafood flavor and it does stink a little but not any worse than wet cat food. Will definitely be buying again!

My cat vomited it up. I really wanted it to work. It smelled up my kitchen so badly. I don’t blame her for vomiting it up. I wish it weren’t so potent in smell and taste. She might be able to keep it down. She kept looking around like ‘is this what I have to eat?’ It smells so terribly. I’m sad it isn’t better

–REVISED: Ordering the 4th Bottle. The problem with an overly tight cap is gone. The cat continues to eat a dish of food BETTER with this on it than without. No, it still doesn’t smell right to me, but I’m not a cat. Also, read about MSM. It takes a month or more to work in humans. We think it is working. Upgrade to 5 stars. — OLD REVIEW: I’ll give it 4 stars because our picky cat eats it on his food. (Trying to put it down the throat is a silly idea!) I’m shocked because it doesn’t SMELL that great (seafood flavor). To me it has a “chemical” smell. But, he eats it! The ingredients are MSM and hyaluronic acid, so it makes sense as an anti inflammatory. In humans, MSM can take weeks to show an impact. Is our cat itching less? Hard to tell. Note, the bottle we received through Amazon had a measuring cap top that took hot water and vice grips to remove. That took away a “STAR” right away!

Excellent product has helped my cat from scratching his face out. He looks so much better and the non flavor he is fine with. I just use a dose every morning with his wet food and eats it up.

Have only used this product 2 days for my “always itchy” kitty. That being said, it appears to be working well as scratching and grooming has been reduced significantly. The directions indicate the liquid should be used until bottle is empty so there is a long way to go. My only reservation is if the medicine must be used indefinitely. I will add to this post as time passes.
USED FOR 10 DAYS – My cat really hated it and after 10 days, it was not working. Sometimes we are so anxious for a product to be effective, our imagination takes over. So, my review after 2 days is misleading. Am moving on to a feline antihistamine and an Omega 3 supplement in hopes these products will help my senior kitty who is an excessive groomer.

Claims to be odor free and taste free. My cat will not eat anything that I put it in. She gets within 5 inches of her bowl and walks away. I’ve wasted so much food trying to give it to her. I can even smell it from the bottle. Do not buy. Waste of money. Wish I could give this review minus 5 stars.

Since it’s unflavored, but it has a smell, and my cat does not like it. Finicky cats, most likely will not like this product.

My 19yo Queen has always suffered from a type of dermatitis. I wanted to try a food additive in addition to her weekly baths. The bottle says it’s unflavored, but it does smell fishy. However, I mix a dose with a gravy bisque and she really enjoys it. I do believe the two prong attack at her allergy has helped. Her bald spots from over-grooming have filled in and she’s not as reactive when her typical itchy spots are touched. I’m definitely going to keep at this for at least another month.
