The Gabers –
We started our 11 year old Cat Oscar on Kidney support Gold on 2/14/23.
(I wrote a long review about my cats amazing recovery – Kidney Support Gold 2 oz.)
Oscar was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid and CKD late October /22.
The Vet wanted to put him down there and then. She insisted he was to sick to save and there was nothing that could be done for him. We were devastated by these news, but determined to save him. So, we got a second opinion from another Vet who absolutely wanted to help us save our beloved cat.
It was decided that he would be getting Radio active Iodine treatment for his hyperthyroid.
BUT, only if he passed all necessary tests at the animal hospital. Since he had CKD he was a risk case, we were told.
We had been giving him Epakitin- phosphate binder in his renal wet food for about 3 months, and his kidney levels had improved a lot from this. But, we knew that in order for him to pass the kidney test his levels needed to come down even more.
So, I ordered KS Gold and gave him 4 drops twice a day- full dose in his renal wet food for 2 months.
He had his pre test for the Radioactive Iodine treatment on 4/12/23. His kidney levels had come down even more, and now he qualified for the treatment.
He was successfully treated in hospital 4/17/23, and today 5/31/23 we went back to the Vet for his check up. His lab tests showed that he is now cured from Hyperthyroid disease. And, his CKD is stable and he is doing extremely well!
Todays lab results: 5/31/23- 2 months since last test on 3/7/23.
Urea: 15.3 Down from 20.1
Creatine: 132. Down From141. ( down from 180 on 1/12/23)
Phos: 1.53. Down from 3.6
Bun: 16. Down from 35.
Kidney support Gold absolutely helped saved our cats life.
He will have to take KS Gold for the rest of his life to keep his CKD in check. So from now on we will be buying the 4 oz bottle. He likes the taste and it’s so easy to drop it into his food.
If you have a cat suffering from Kidney disease, give this wonderful herbal remedy a try. Maybe they can help as they did for our Oscar!

The biggest issue with chronic kidney disease is that cats often refuse to eat renal support food. By the time I found out my cat had ckd, it was already fairly advanced. Her numbers were low, had a heart murmur, and she wouldnt eat her food. The vet said that if I couldn’t get any food in her that I might have to put her to sleep. That’s when I found this online. I was looking for something to correct her potassium/phosphorus/ creatinine levels. Not only did this do that, but this gave her an appetite and I know it does bc when I forget more than one dose within days of each other she throws up and starts to lose her appetite. She eats her renal support food with no issue, has lots of energy, plenty of sass and attitude. After 2 weeks her numbers for the most part were within normal range. She gained some muscle mass and no longer has a heart murmur. she is still anemic though and not producing any red blood cells. The vet said this is ok since cats can adapt, which she has. My cat also has protein leaking into her urine but I get her semintra for that. While this product claims to resolve that issue as well, I’m too afraid to rely on it solely. Just some tips, I have two cats and she steals the others food sometimes. If she starts to get sick and she stops eating, I give her a serving of phos bind in creamy cat treats early in the morning (this can also discourage appetite…go figure). I started with a dose of 1 drop to 1 lb bc she was in rough shape. It can take a few days (2 or 3) for the ksg to kick in and for their appetite to kick in. If your cat already hasn’t eaten much in the days before, you may want to get an appetite stimulate from your vet to get a jump start things.
Update. She’s no longer anemic! My cat was 14 when she started this product, she is currently 16.

My 11 yo cat was diagnosed of stage 3 kidney failure in April during the Covid lock down. He was so thin and his appetite was so down. I was desperate to do something. The vet recommended to sprinkle Phos-bind over his favorite foods since he won’t eat his kidney diet. But with this method I could use just a pinch of powder since he ate so little there was no way to meet his daily goal of 2/3 scoop of the powder.
When I saw this kidney supplement I got an idea. I also needed some kind of pasty supplement to make my plan possible. So I bought Nutri-Vet Multi-Vite Multivitamin Paw Gel and this item.
I mix phos-bind powder and this kidney support gold first to make a loose paste, then blend this paste to Nutri-vet gel ( it is a paste even though it says gel) . I give my cat this home-made compound every day. He doesn’t like it so I had to put it on my finger and force it in to his mouth. He is given his favorite treats immediately after that to wash it down. Poor thing. It is Not fun for me to do that, but I had to. Ever since I started this my cat is looking much better.
Before this routine started In May he was so weak, no interest in food and could not even jump up to my bed and hiding in my closet. I wanted him to enjoy life more , so I decided to let him out to my yard for the first time in his 11 years of life. I ordered a XS cat harness and took him out for a walk within my yard. He enjoyed feeling a warm breeze on his face, sitting under my maple tree, sometimes wondered around my garden, rolling on warm concrete etc…. his tail was high up, looking very happy. Eventually he started to wait at the door for his harness to be put on. Gradually he regained some of his strength. One day I saw him chasing my neighbor’s cat that visits my yard daily, and if I brought a dish of food he ate more while outside. His activity level is not nearly as good as healthy cat, but now he comes to my bed no problem and actually he jumps up on the dresser or window hammock all the time. He is eating more and gaining weight too. I don’t know which one is the contributing factor, may be the combination of all. Now in December, I no longer am able to let him out, but his appetite and strength are still like during summer.
My friend noticed his body does not look as bony as before. I agree. When I hold him he feels much softer and heavier. His fur is shinny also. Since he did not eat RX kidney diet once ever since his diagnosis I can not expect his number improved, but I am happy when he looks happy.

My 15 yr old shin tzu has kidney disease. I saw this product on Amazon and decided to try it. My pet had been ok prior to taking this and this was the only thing different in his diet. After 2 doses I noticed an immediate change. He became very lethargic, couldn’t stand on his own, had terrible gastrointestinal issues that we could hear loudly and started vomiting with bloody diarrhea. It became a nightmare and at this point we don’t know if he will come out of it as it just happened yesterday. He is still sick and won’t eat or drink, unlike how he was before giving him this. I’m hoping that he will improve since we won’t be using this product again, but after reading other reviews I am sad to learn that other pets did not. I am now stuck with a full bottle of this at $37., it is harmful to my pet, and I cannot return it or get a credit so it is money literally going down the drain. Shame on Amazon and Pet Wellbeing.
UPDATE: While we cannot prove this supplement was the exact cause, we want all who read this and consider using this product to know that we administered two doses to our pet on Aug. 7, 2025 after which he became seriously ill as stated above and tragically passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 11, 2025. This supplement was the only thing that had been added to or changed in his diet. DON’T JUST READ POSITIVE REVIEWS. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE NEGATIVE ONES AS WELL TO GET THE WHOLE TRUTH.

I’d never left a comment on my previous five-star review, so I’ll try to sum everything up now that I’ve purchased and received my 10th bottle from Amazon and also bought two from the store.
He had a kidney flare up almost five years ago, so I started giving him this stuff regularly, then intermittently, and his geriatric blood panels have always been excellent.
He’s suddenly started refusing to take it, though. He used to lap it up straight from his bowl. Now he won’t eat it in his food, even if it’s just a half dose.
He’s had cancer for a couple of years, he’s 12 years old, and I think his final day might be getting close because he started turning down another supplement he’s been on for a year.
I’ll include some recent pictures of him so other big dog owners can find this review and it’s relevance to their dogs easier.

My biggest regret is not believing the bad reviews that’s already written by others here. So if you’re like me who highly hoped this would help, PLEASE DO NOT RISK IT and save your babies (and money)!
This product even cost me an expensive EUR141.41 for a 59ml bottle! And in less than 24 hours from giving this to my beloved dog (this was the only additional/new thing added to her diet that day), she had continuous vomiting overnight until the next morning. It was very traumatising. I don’t want other pet owners to experience the same horror I did so I’m writing this review so others are cautioned about the adverse effect this product may have. Please don’t end up regretting like me.. 🙁

My 17yo chihuahua was diagnosed with stage 4 renal failure. She was not eating and losing alot of weight. Excessive urination and getting weak. Brought her to the vet and the blood test results came out horrible. All the values were beyond the scale (unreadably high). She was hospitalised for 3days with daily IV fluids. It brought the values down slightly and subsequently vet asked to subcut daily at home for 7days. Review of blood test after this 7days showed that the values returned to the very high range and indicated that subcut alone was not enough. Vet asked to hospitalise again for another 7days to stabilise the values. The values did not significantly drop even after one whole week of IV hospitalisation. I was broken. Lost.
I turned to Amazon and found Kidney Support Gold. Read through all the reviews which gave me great comfort and hope. Ordered the supplement and started off with initial dose of 2drops twice a day. After two weeks, no difference in appetite although her energy levels were increasing. Doubled the dose and subsequently added Kidney Restore (from Amazon too). Within 1.5weeks, her appetite returned. She began eating well and slowly started becoming her usual self.
Went back to vet for blood test after two weeks of kidney restore and about 1month of kidney support gold. Her BUN dropped from 121 to 31. Creatinine dropped from 2.0 to 1.0 (normal range) . And SDMA dropped from 47 to 21. Very promising results. Phosphorus dropped from 8.8 to 5.8 (normal range). I believe she is currently in stage 2 renal failure.
All in all, I have given her Kidney Support Gold, Kidney Restore and Fosrenol (phosphate binder) along with daily subcut fluids for this period. I also give Antinol green lipped mussel oil for arthritis and inflammation. I believe this helps with the kidneys too to reduce inflammation. After the latest round of blood test, vet has adviced to reduce subcut to every other day.
I have got to say a BIG THANK YOU to Amazon for making this products available to us as I can’t find this in my country. Also thank you to Petwellbeing for the amazing products!!

We ended up taking in two pups from a litter whose mom passed along with all the other pups. We got them at about 3 days old and worked with them to give them a fighting chance. Unfortunately, the male wound up in kidney failure at 16 weeks old and we had to put him down. It was absolutely heartbreaking for my wife and I because he was the absolute sweetest pup. His sister shows signs of underdeveloped kidneys as well, so we believe this is a birth defect that impacted the whole litter.
She is now 11 months old, and has been taking Kidney Support Gold daily for a little over a month along with Pet Wellbeing’s phosphate binder. We found these products after her last checkup where the specialist we take her to told us her values are high enough that we may have weeks left with her. After researching rehmannia root, we decided it was worth a try no matter the cost.
Within a couple of days of starting this regiment, she started being more active, and plays with our other two pups nonstop. Exactly how an 11 month old puppy should be. She’s also started eating more, gaining weight (healthy weight), her coat looks and feels better, and she’s had a full heat cycle. We will have to see what her kidney values are at her next checkup with the specialist to see if her kidney values are better, but we have hope. She loves the flavor of the drops and phosphate binder to the point where she knows she gets her “treat” before each meal (phosphate binder before each meal, and drops before breakfast and dinner).
While this may not work for every pet, this has given us more time with our girl, and we have real hope that she can live a longer quality life. Everyone reading these reviews, and trying to find answers loves their fur babies, but for us it’s that much more because our girl was a bottle baby that has been with us since before her eyes and ears opened.
For the cost of the Kidney Support Gold and phosphate binder, I’ll happily pay it to give us more time with our girl. If I can, I’ll update this review with her updated kidney values after her next check up. Fingers crossed they’ve maintained stable, but we are really hoping to see at least a little improvement.

Lucy our 11 year old dachshund went to the vet 2 years ago and they said she had kidney disease and she was eating but not great. She was getting skinny and didn’t have any bounce or cuddle or any of that. My husband researched this product and we now give this to her twice a day. She’s a different dog!!! She now barks for her food and has been eating well and she’s not losing weight and loves to cuddle! 🙌 thru wanted her on meds and I’m so much happier with this alternative!

Update. She’s no longer anemic! My cat was 14 when she started this product, she is currently 16.

My yellow lab just turned 13yo. He began vomiting and then refused to eat or drink anything. Took him to the vet and they diagnosed him with late stage kidney disease. Vet gave him IV of fluid and sent him home with some pain meds and suggested I try to give him human food. He continued to not show much interest in food and refused to eat anything the next day and remained very lethargic. I felt I was just watching him die and was coming to terms with the fact that I would probably make the decision to put him to sleep.
As a last ditch effort I saw this product and ordered it on a Friday night while I was sad thinking about losing my best friend soon. This product arrived on a Sunday afternoon. I put it on some bread and my dog ate it. The following Monday morning he seemed a little more energetic. I gave him some food and to my surprise he ate about half of it, which is much more than he had eaten the past 5 days.
I continued with the recommended dosage and over the next 48 hours my lab got his appetite back and became the food driven dog I had always known him to be. He even takes his meds now because I can hide them in his food and he is so hungry he isn’t eating around his pills anymore.
It’s now been 10 days since I started my dog on this product. He still has no desire to drink regular water and I have to add chicken broth to his water bowl to get him to hydrate. But he is always hungry now and has more energy.
I am not sure this product is completely to blame for his turnaround but I do believe it has helped a lot. I think these drops helped him get his appetite back and he is now on taking his medication and eating which is why he has more energy. The comfort of not seeing a suffering dog that won’t eat or drink or even get off the ground for any reason is worth the price of this product.
He will get blood work next week at the vet, and if there is any change I will update this review.

We are so so happy with this product! Our English bulldog has kidney disease and we’ve been taking her to specialists to monitor her numbers, but didn’t think there was anything we could do to make them better. I found this product on TikTok with other pet owners reviewing it and we have been trying it with her food twice daily. At her most recent appointment, we were told that her numbers improved and she was back at the numbers she had this time last year! (We also have had her on a diet and she lost 2.5 pounds so i definitely recommend focusing on that too if weight is an issue). It’s the best news we could have gotten and the only thing we added was this Kidney Support

My dog was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. I switched her food to one prescribed by the vet and started giving her the kidney support drops. Not soon after I could tell she was feeling better. She had more pep and she was eating better. After 3 months, vet ran blood work again. Her renal numbers had improved some! And she had gained back a pound (15 lb dog).
