Looks exactly like photos. All pieces were intact. Doesn’t have a strong odor like some bone products do. Smooth like piano keys. Sowilo looks a tad off but is totally identifiable so not an issue. Good bargain rune set. Would recommend to beginners if they don’t feel like investing in a fancy set or can’t make their own.

They are very beautiful. Smooth and gentle to the touch. I enjoy their feel and they hold a charge quite well. They are small and light and wear well if drawing a rune for the day and then put in MoJo bag

I am very happy with my purchase! I’m really connecting with these! I’ve had a set of bone runes before and these are very clearly bone. There are no missing pieces and I am more than satisfied with the engravings! Thank you for this wonderful product!

First let me say i was expecting cheep but useful..what i got was very fine quality real Bone Runes that are well marked and easy to see and read. I was expecting them to be bigger, all my other Rune sets are larger about the same size, give or take. 1.1/2″ to 2″ round. these are only 1″ and i was atfirst like….what the??! but as i worked with them i relised these would be perfict for a travel set. i ditched the “velvoteen bag” trash….and in 5 mins i made a smaller leather bag from scrap leather and cord i had, perfict pocket sized rune set to take anywhere! ive stored all my other sets and i use these all the time now, loveum cant say enough good about them.

I bought these for a divination class in a Harry Potter summer camp that I run. They are smooth and lovely and come with a drawstring bag. The fact that they are made of bone means that every piece is different. Very attractive and durable.

These are great. A+. Slightly concerned that it says the material they’re made from is “Elder”, but ah well

After some rudimentary inspection, as far as I can tell these casting runes are most likely made of real bone/ivory, which I work with a lot. But I was disappointed to find, as others have, that a few of the runes were written/carved incorrectly (namely Sowilo, Jera, and Inguz, if you want to count it). If you have proper, basic knowledge of the Elder Futhark it’s an easy work-around and divining with them is still possible, but for the price it was a bummer nonetheless

The Runes are well done, but no guidance booklet on them. Must have study information with you, or accessible separately.

A serviceable set with the three complete Aett’s plus the new-fangled blank rune. No instructions or identification information but the set does come with a handy-dandy black velvet bag to put your runes in. Ingwaz, shown as two exes on top of each other, is a less typical way to write it, but still accurate (there are three different shapes that can be interpreted as Ingwaz, the two exes, a simple diamond shape or a square).

Though they look like bones I’m not sure they really are, as the sound they make when clicking them together it’s more like porcelain. Still, they are nicely carved, good irregular shapes for a less neat appearance and they come with a pouch.

These were a gift and was happy to be able to share my love of Runes with another. Before purchasing I spent much time reviewing the stones available on Amazon and settled on this set. I liked that they were on bone and that they seemed to be larger than most all of the sets on Amazon. After they were delievered I was displeased overall quality. They are not on bone. They are more of a resin matrial in a bone color and are all made in a very similar, if not the same, shape. They are very small. I submitted a picture with this review showing that they are approximately the size of a quarter. They would be great for a traveling set but not as your main casting set.
Maybe I’m picky or snobby? My old set are larger, made from natural stones and are of a better quality stones… and I love them 🙂

It’s was VERY beautiful and because they were carved from the Rob bones of a water buffalo (after it was discovered out on the range and had died of natural causes after a long, happy life I hope), it felt very spiritual and had a greater meaning to me…. At least until they were stolen from me before I ever got to do any friend readings.

I wanted to give this five stars. I really did. But I couldn’t because of two parts, both pertaining to the runes themselves. Inguz is printed, not as the dimond (pictured in the center of said rune) but as the XX. Now, if you agree that because of the Anglo saxon influence, that is the proper rune. That’s great! But it isn’t elder fruthark. What bothered me more was sowulo. As you see I turned it to face proper, but it’s sidways and elongated when set like the others. If you’ve studied, you’d know Odin says “don’t write runes you don’t understand” and I feel these people do not understand. Or have printed the wrong rune entirely. However, the set is workable. And the bone feels good in the hand. To those who say because the shape isn’t uniform, so you can’t get a good reading. The traditional material is oak with its bark still on. You draw string random. So don’t memorize the shape or feel the indent. I give it four stars.

I am very satisfied with this time set. I really wanted a bone set but was concerned about ordering this after reading so many reviews about missing runes or runes written incorrectly. I decided to give it a chance and I am very glad I did. I am very happy to say that my set is a complete set. I am also very happy with the quality of the bones and engraving. I gave it 4 stars because I feel it is important to note that one of the runes isn’t completely written accurately. The Sowilu rune isn’t quite right. Looks more like a letter N. It’s definitely workable and I may alter it if I feel it really needs to be after using them. Other than that I definitely recommend this product.
