Not really the quality I was hoping for. Some of it is ground up very small and yet at the same time it’s full of twigs. At least it smells good and adds a nice flavor to my devil’s lettuce. And the bag is huge

These are sooo good. I have been making lavender syrup out of these to go into coffee or matcha or whatever. The flavor is so strong, and the aroma is even stronger. Lavender flavored stuff is surprisingly delicious. Has a good amount in the bag and it goes a long way.

I’ve been buying dried lavender for tea for years from a local health food store. The price was about 2x more than this product. That stuff was also from China so I decided to get this since it was cheaper and from France.
The bag is HUGE! Like the size of a small bed pillow. The smell is fantastic, the leaves are more grey than bright blue like the stuff I have from China (not sure if this has to do with the type, or the drying process). However, I can tell this is quality stuff.
One thing I do notice is there is a different taste for tea. There is a strange, earthy undertone to this lavender that I never had with my local stuff. I did some research and apparently French Lavender has a slight camphor smell/flavour that isn’t present in English lavender, so that may be what I’m getting. It’s not overpowering though, I will most likely get used to it. On the plus side it’s never bitter, unlike the Chinese lavender I usually buy which needs some sweetener for tea.
I recommend this! SO much lavender for a good price and the expiry is 2 years away (though I will probably use it all with the year).

Love this 🍵 tea! It’s become a favorite of mine now. Unique flavor.

great product, good price, perfect size, super taste. Will order it again

I love the dried lavender. I use it just about for everything. Adding flavor for sprouting almond and walnuts to makeup, add to my tea, in avocado oil to add flavor to food. It is truly a quality product. The aroma is sensual. Absolutely LOVE it!! Thank you.

This was my first time using nettle leaf tea, and I’m quite pleased!
Nettle leaf tea (“NLT”) assists with lowering blood pressure, anemia, stress relief, and menstrual pain.
I was excited to try NLT because of the anemia aspect since vitamins don’t help much with my iron intake. One cup of NLT contains 1.5 mg of iron, and this is a great way to supplement my diet!
The product was very affordable (cheaper than Kroger’s). The taste and quality is great. After I run out, I will repurchase from this brand again!

I had read that Hibiscus tea was good for you and I was looking for something that I could drink in the evening. This is perfect for an evening tea. I didn’t expect it to taste as nice as it does. It is really pleasant. I recommend it.
Evelyn –
Very large bag and quality loose dry plant, it smells nice and tastes nice. I am just suspicious of the brightness of the red colo, the sour taste and strong flavor. Is this completely unaltered? If yes, then it is excellent, like drinking unsweetened sour cherry juice. I made many cups, it feels good drinking it,but I personally cannot identify its medicinal effects.

Absolutely amazing quality and taste. I have been looking for a good matcha green tea for a while but most of them have additives until I found this. So I can make more than 20 cups of matcha latte each was costing me $5 in coffeeshops.
Ari Nuit –
The BEST peppermint tea! The smell right out of the bag is incredible, and the flavour does not disappoint.

This loose, bulk package of Hibiscus Tea is the best I have found over decades of drinking caffeine-free herbal teas. I have brewed it “by the cup” and “by the pot” and enjoy a wonderful refreshing ruby-red tea every time. I haven’t encountered any fine particles in the FGO preparation and it is easy to strain with a regular tea strainer.
The flavor immediately reminded me of cranberry juice, tart but without the sugar load added to make cranberry juice drinkable. This hibiscus tea needs nothing added to enjoy it hot or cold. I have brewed extra strong hibiscus tea as a base for cold fruit punch in the past. This tea is so close to cranberry juice that I may try it in a cosmopolitan cocktail.
On a completely separate note, I have read that hibiscus tea can help with elevated blood pressure. I don’t have that issue except when they take my blood pressure at the dentist’s office. Then my BP is always higher than normal. Recently I was seeing my dentist and the technician told me my BP was 126/77. I was astounded. I thought their blood pressure gauge was broken. I came home puzzled but then remembered I had been drinking this hibiscus almost every afternoon for over a month. Now this in no way constitutes medical advice. I am only a “data sample of one”, but maybe it is the tea?

This tea is just what I wanted….loose leaf green tea that is caffeine free. The big bulk bag is great and really cuts down on the per-cup cost. It’s not the best tasting tea I’ve ever had, but it’s far from the worst. I like it….and I love the health benefits I get from it. I have definitely put this on my subscribe & save list.

Review for: Organic Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea 16oz bag (1pound), bought September 2020.
The underlying black tea is a good mix of Keemun and Assam. The Keemun makes for a lighter tea that does not drown out the Bergamotte oil, or force an amount that makes the tea taste soapy. Twinings itself has replaced most of the real Bergamotte oil with extract and their website doesn’t say how much real Bergamotte is left. I still like Twinings Earl Grey, it’s been my family tea for more than half a century, but knowing that this organic product uses only the real thing (2% organic Bergamotte content, as per ingredient list) is an extra star in my book. The tea that arrived was super fresh with an aromatic scent (expiry date end of January 2023), which is important as the bergamotte oil fragrance and tea aroma will evaporate over time.
The taste is a delicious, light to medium strength Earl Grey, great on its own or (for lighter taste) mixed with 1/3rd Darjeeling. If you are used to soapily strong Earl Grey variants or those made with Assam alone, you may find it too light. If you like Twinings, you’ll probably like it alot.
I have not been able to do a direct taste comparison side by side, as I ran out of Twinings before this arrived, but as I am sitting here, sipping a cup of the hot, dark-golden liquid with a small teaspoon of cane sugar, tasting a well balanced mix of light black tea and bergamotte oil, I am letting out a satisfied sigh. I am finding this one to be an excellent substitute.
Update 2021: Had 3 1-pound-bags of this in the meantime, and all of them were perfectly aromatic and tasty.
Preparation instructions:
Serve in thin-lipped bone-china cups of approx. 6oz size (better sensory experience than mugs for delicate teas, see image).
Use 2 tea pots and a straining sieve: one pot to steep the leaves and another to strain the brewed tea into, in order to get the leaves out before they turn bitter.
Bring 3 cups / 24 oz of water to boil, pour over 6g (0.22oz) Earl Grey tea leaves while still boiling. The leaves should float freely in a pre-warmed tea pot. For less or more tea, just multiply or divide water and tea by the same amounts.
Strain after no longer than 3 minutes of steeping through a tea-straining sieve into the serving tea pot. (I am setting a timer to 2:40 min brewing time and don’t stress over 20 seconds more). When I strain the tea, I either stirr the leaves right before, or let the leaves drip from the sieve after straining, to get all the full, concentrated tea. (if you accidentally steeped it too long, you can try decanting without stirring the leaves and it might save you from a bitter experience). I drink it with a little cane sugar and a piece of bread with something sweet on it, and thereafter, my brain starts working. If you are a Trekkie and have not tried what Picard’s favorite drink really is about when properly prepared, this is it. If yours is bitter, you either use too much tea or you let it steep too long.
Oh, and I never use tea bags for black tea. It is filled with the tea dust that is breaking off from the properly dried tea leaves, the leftover after the leaves have been packaged. That tends to make for an overpoweringly strong tea, plus the dust tends to seep into the tea itself. Either that or (with luxury versions=filled with proper leaves) it does not have enough room for giving off its taste. Free floating is the way to go.
If you want to avoid the garbage getting all wet, just leave the used leaves to drip and dry in the sieve over the pot you used for steeping before throwing them away.
Disclaimer: this is the first time ever I bought this product. I have picked and paid it myself and have nothing whatsoever to do with either FGO, Amazon or Twinings. This is a pure tea enthusiast’s review article and I hope you enjoyed it and your tea.

The quality of this will likely not compare to others. This is genuine loose leaf and you can tell with the taste! I take this to improve my menstrual health, and it definitely does! It helps with my health and overall complexion. The taste can be strong, but a touch of honey and it is nice to drink. Organic so you know what the ingredient is. The bag is huge so it lasts a while!

This product is superb! Used it to make lavender scones , as well as lavender simple syrup for lavender lemondrop martinis for the holidays and all were delicious. Generous portion, and very fresh!

THIS IS THE ONE!! I’ve been making my own chai concentrate bi weekly for almost a year now. I usually buy another brand of chai but this one was on sale so I figured I’d try it. When I tell you this is the most well spiced, rich yet nuanced, perfectly balanced loose chai I’ve tried (and while I usually purchase a specific brand, I’ve tried MANY!), it is probably an understatement. The flavors come through so beautifully, there’s no bitterness — just perfection. If you were on the fence, don’t be. Couldn’t love this tea more. Get it! Actually buy two, you’ll be glad you did!

This Oolong tea from FGO has become part of my everyday routine. The flavor is clean, smooth, and naturally rich without any bitterness. You can tell it’s high-quality tea from the first sip. I also love that the bags are eco-friendly and individually packed without plastic—simple, fresh, and thoughtful. The 100-count bag is a great value too. If you enjoy a calm, balanced cup of Oolong, this one is definitely worth it.
Evan and Amber-Dawn Weller –
I bought a bag of FGO moroccan mint tea (which I love and grew up drinking) I should have read the ingredients list before buying, but I didn’t. It is a good tea, but it is not moroccan mint tea.
True moroccan mint tea is made with GUNPOWDER green tea and MOROCCAN mint leaves, while the ingredients listed on the FGO package are green tea and peppermint leaf – and not clear whether the green tea is gunpowder or another variety. Therefore, if you like peppermint, you will enjoy this tea because it is very pepperminty. And I like the clean organic ingredients. But if you’re looking for an authentic moroccan mint tea taste, this one will not deliver.
I do like the FGO brand, though, and I also buy their rooibos tea bags, but I think whoever had the idea of packaging a moroccan mint tea should have done their research first.

I bought this tea on a whim, and it immediately became my new favorite! It tastes kinda like Celestial Seasonings Raspberry/Wildberry Zinger but with more punch to it.
Both the aroma and taste are intense, and you don’t need much at all to make a strong cup. The bag is massive, and I imagine it’ll last me a very long time, even drinking it every day (which I fully intend to!). I’m so excited to have found such a delicious tea for so little money!

Hawthorn yea was delicious. And it’s good for your health, especially blood pressure. Also on package it says it ‘s sourced from Egypt and Mexico, and yea bags are made from hemp fiber. Only ingredient is organic hibiscus flowers. Well worth the extra money. And it’s organic too!

I bought this plain organic rooibos tea mainly to use in my betta tanks, and it’s been working great. I add it between water changes when the tannins from botanicals start to fade, and it does a really good job keeping the water lightly tinted.
Rooibos is known to have natural antioxidant and antibacterial properties, and I like using it as a gentle way to support betta health in my blackwater style setups. My bettas have been doing well with it, especially in their tanks that already use botanicals.
As a bonus, I tried it as a drink even though I’m not much of a tea person. It smells really good and has a mild, pleasant flavor that isn’t bitter at all. Definitely nicer than I expected.

I started drinking this during my third trimester and really liked it. The taste is mild and earthy, not too strong or bitter like some herbal teas. Easy to drink even without honey or anything added.
The tea bags are good quality and don’t tear easily. I usually steep for about 5 minutes to get a nice flavor. The box lasted me about 3 weeks drinking 1-2 cups daily.
I read it’s supposed to help with labor prep and recovery which is why I tried it. Can’t say for sure if it helped but my labor went pretty smoothly! Now I drink it occasionally just because I like the taste and it’s caffeine free.
Good value for an organic tea. The packaging keeps it fresh and the ingredients are simple – just pure raspberry leaf. Would buy again.

This is a very good flavor for a hot green tea. I also often make ice tea and find the flavor a little too light for that, but still very good. When making ice I have learned to use less water and brew a minute or two longer to get a bit more flavor when it’s cold.

This is perfect loose leaf green tea for the morning. The flavor is what is expected, and I like that I can mix it with other ingredients to make custom teas and flavors.
The size is great, and the bag was larger than I expected.
It does look like the price has gone up quite a bit from when I ordered it. I’m not sure it would be worth it for the current listed price, but I would buy it again if it were on sale.

Love this product! Very good quality hibiscus. It is fresh, the sifting is good (no debri) and the aroma and flavor is amazing.
I use this medicinally and find the strength to be excellent. I create a concentrate using a french press, very hot water and let it steep on the counter until it reaches room temperature.
The concentrate seems to keep nicely in the refrigerator for about 4 days.

Delicious. I drink a lot of green tea. A LOT. You name it, I’ve likely tried it. This is one of my absolute favourites. The delicate Jasmine aroma and flavor is so enjoyable… and to top it off – organic with bleach free tea bags. Try it. It won’t disappoint.

The Rooibos is a favorite of mine ever since visiting South Africa. These bags are especially nice for home use because they are not individually wrapped (which I think is so wasteful). They do not have a string either, which is fine for making a pot of tea. The tea bags come in a resealable bag and the smooth flavor is amazing.

So with this cold weather I love to drink hot tea. I saw this and I thought this is wanted to try it. The texture was perfect The quality is amazing and the health benefits are a major plus. For some reason hot tea always mellows me out so I can’t say anything about the energy level but I’m going to give it a couple weeks and come back and do another review.

I ordered another brand at the same time since I had never purchased Lemon balm tea. The other brand was more than twice the price per tea bag. FGO brand is far superior in my opinion. I will never purchase the other brand, but I will buy FGO again as it smells and tastes so much better.

I’ve been drinking this hibiscus tea regularly, both hot and iced, and I really enjoy the flavor. It has a naturally tart, refreshing taste that doesn’t need much added to it, and it brews well without tasting weak. I like that it’s caffeine-free, so I can drink it any time of day.
The tea bags are easy to use and feel good quality, and the large box lasts a long time. Overall, this is a solid hibiscus tea if you like a bold, tangy herbal tea and want something simple and clean for everyday drinking.

I like this tea for kombucha. and nice for a hot cup as well. The actual leaves expansion is a nice surprise so easy to take out of the pot. Not bitter and not too earthy like some green tea. Lots of tea in the bag – filled a liter jar and another 750 ml jar. I’d buy it again but that will be a while and I make 2 liters a week. I’m happy!

Brewing FGO’s Organic Gunpowder Green Tea has given me a strong, earthy cup with a clean finish. The loose‑leaf pellets unfurl nicely and create a rich, full‑bodied flavor without turning bitter. I like that the tea stays consistent from batch to batch, which makes it easy to rely on for daily drinking. The aroma is fresh and slightly smoky, just what I expect from a good gunpowder tea. It also holds up well for a second steep, which adds value to each scoop. For a straightforward, high‑quality green tea, this one has been a dependable choice.

Quality product. Organic in Eco friendly tea bags. The price for this product was also very good for 100 bags. The taste was on par with all teas of this kind. I do recommend this product.

I suffer from terrible headaches. For twenty plus years , I have struggled seeing so many doctors , none of them being able to pinpoint where they came from. I was told to remove dairy, wheat, caffeine from my diet. I did and but I didn’t. Really hard for me to give up milk and my morning coffee! Not to mention bread products. I Learned that people are not gluten intolerant or wheat intolerant, they’re intolerant to the pesticides that they’re using to produce most of the foods today. Especially wheat, corn, breads, pastas etc… its called glyphosate. Its roundup! They’re marinating almost all of our foid in it and then genetically modifying tge crops to handle it! Wow!! People be aware!! Its not easy or cheap learning how to eat healthy. But it’s also not cheap being sick all of the time. Studies have shown that glyphosate levels in the blood of americans has grown by 1000x since the mid nineties!??! I now make my own bread with imported flour from italy. I only buy organic products and produce, locally farmed eggs, and make sure that I see the non GMO label as well, where applicable. Since I have been doing all these things , my headaches have almost gone away. The fatigue and brain fog clearing up… InDecided today that I wasn’t going to drink my usual cup of chock full of nuts coffee because it’s not certified organic nor non GMO. Instead, I grabbed my french press and made this green tea that I would only drink occasionally. I cannot tell you it almost induced a euphoria.. Not only did it help to wake me up? But in a calmed me too. No jittery anxiety like coffee produces in me. And no morning headache 😊 I just bought another bag to make it iced for my evening beverage with dinner too. Highly recommend!

Being organic was already a big plus for me, and the reputation of gunpowder green tea spoke for itself. I can confidently say that this tea lives up to the hype.
The quality is outstanding, evident from the moment you open the bag. It leaves a refreshing and clean taste, giving me that much-needed boost to tackle my day. What’s great is that it blends effortlessly with other caffeine-free teas, allowing you to experiment and create unique flavor combinations.
If you’re looking for a top-notch tea that offers both quality and versatility, this is it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. So go ahead and treat yourself!

The green gunpowder tea is a good product. It takes some trial and error to find the correct ratio of tea leaves to water for your taste. Steep the tea in a tea infuser for 10 minutes, if you have one, or strain the tea with a regular strainer. Once you hit the correct ratio, the tea has a very pleasant flavor. If the tea is too strong, simply dilute it with some boiled water.
