I threw them away before I was to give them as a gift. Before giving the gift, a friend smelled them and started sneezing and coughing profusely after I had taking them out of the carton. Some people are ” allergic” to strong fragrances so I decided not to take a chance and threw them away. One really doesn’t know what China uses to create these steamers. They may be just fine, but I didn’t know for sure so I erred on the side of caution.
