This is my first experience buying a red light therapy mask. I chose this one because of the attachable neck section. I’ve only used it twice at this point, so no improvements to mention. But I decided to return it because it makes no sense that there aren’t any lights surrounding the nose and the upper lip. I’m in my 70’s and I definitely want my upper lip wrinkles worked on! Also, the mask doesn’t extend to cover the sides of my face and neck completely. I can’t see how this mask will benefit me as much as it should, so back it goes.

One of the best LED Face Masks I’ve ever owned. I mean it’s the only one I own but this has helped with my deep acne scars and helping heal them better. The red light is very good for you. I purchased this for in-home skin renewing.
After reading several experts’ advice, I decided to purchase this because the list seemed like it covered the pertinent target wavelengths, NIL and several LED Chips as described in the detailing and specifications.
It arrived quickly and in a nice, sealed box. The mask is nice looking and seems very sturdy with the number of LEDs described.
I returned the mask due to downfalls.
1) When I held the mask up to my face, there was no protection preventing the lights from getting into eyes. Since it’s very important to protect eyes from blue light especially, this was of high concern. Although there was silicone ring around where the eye would be, it was only about an 1/8” – ¼” in height, useless in protecting your eyes. Of course, after getting the light turned on and spending time getting to a target color, I could plan to close my eyes. Although, it still would have given me damaging light in my eyes and prevented me from using it while completing other tasks.
2) The directions are not all inclusive, there is nothing in the directions received that indicate there is NIL or how to get to the NIL setting. I’ve included pictures of the instructions and warnings.
3) The mask does not contour enough to my face; the chin and jaw area lights sit at least an inch away from the skin. I was looking for more consistent light source nearest to my skin and use only 10 minutes a day. The instructions included
indicate it should be used 10-15 minutes a day.
I did opt to return the mask and look forward to trying out the BUBLOC Red Light Therapy mask. I have received the BUBLOC item, looked over eye protection and detailed instructions. It does not have any concerns I mentioned above.

I’ve used this mask three times since receiving it: twice with the red light and once with the blue. One issue I’ve encountered is that the straps are a bit too large for my head, so I either have to hold the mask in place or use it while lying down. On the plus side, I did see the results that others have been raving about.
However, there are a few drawbacks I want to mention. First, the mask doesn’t offer any eye protection, and I worry about potential eye strain or damage if I don’t close my eyes while using it. I’ve seen other brands that include rubber or silicone protection around the eyes, which I think would be a valuable addition to this mask.
Another thing I’ve noticed is the lack of clear instructions. Every time I want to use it, I end up having to consult ChatGPT for guidance because there’s no explanation about the recommended usage time, the best time of day to use it, or whether I should apply any serum before using the mask. I’m also not sure about the different light settings and what each one specifically targets, so for now, I’ll just stick to using the red light for wrinkles and blue for improving skin luminosity.
