Love it, small but needed to put more water and there wasn’t any thing in package to put water in it so it dumps sand really fast.

Very nice sand art, with color chaning light. Everyone enjoys it, never the same pattern twice. Comes with usb charger too so no batteries to buy.

I haven’t seen one of these in years! For the price point ($9 as of this writing), this is a steal. The materials are not high end, but again, for this price, it’s a great value.
I got the one with black and white sand. There’s some other colors in there, in addition to some gold glitter. There isn’t as much gold glitter in mine as it shows in the pic.
Some things you should know:
* This isn’t a rechargeable item. In order for the light to work, it has to be plugged in. So the included “charging cable” implies it has a rechargeable battery. It does not.
* You get the sand to move by turning the disc upside down. Sometimes, if the bubbles line up just right, the sand won’t drop. This is normal. Just move it a little to one side or the other and it should start moving.
* There are some instructions on the box. They don’t make any sense at all. Disregard them. There is no way you should be taking a syringe to this thing – it’s a sealed glass disc.
* There are several color options: fade in and out through the colors, solid color, flashing (annoying) and off. The light does not be on for the sand to do it’s magic.
* The item I received is NOT the same as some of the photos shown further down in this listing. The base is much smaller and round. And again, this is not a rechargeable/cordless option.
* Thank GOODNESS it does not say “Sand Painting” on the front of the base! That would have been really annoying.
Overall, it’s neat. Again, my review is largely based on the $9 price point. Considering that, it’s a neat item and a good value.

Not what I expected sent it back. Disappointed

Surprisingly, better quality than I expected (based on the price) it did get shipped with a 1/2” gash in the glass one edge, but I’m not gonna fuss about it. I’ll probably end up breaking the thing out of my own clumsiness more than anything. It’s cute. Nostalgic AF for us 80’s born, 90’s raised babies!! it seems like it’s a good value for the money.

Nope gets stuck the sand. Said color light but only white. Won’t buy again

Absolutely loved how it looks. It also works the way it should. If you want something to happen fast. This is not for you. Try a lava lamp.
My Two Cents –
Mixed feelings.
My stand isnt a color changing touch light stand as others are depicted as having.
But the Sand art itself is awesome. Its a glass piece with a plastic base that has to be plugged in to utilize the lighting fixture.
Mine has a ton of tiny bubbles that inhibit the Sand falling so I have to adjust mine often.
Overall I like it but be warned your lighted base might be different and if so thats a disheartening aspect

Sometimes as simple as sand flowing slowly in the water, can put me in a calm, relaxed mood. I’m completely enjoying the sand art lamp and it definitely relaxes me whenever I see it. Upon receiving this lamp, I was surprised by a number of things. First of all was that the sand painting disc is actually made of glass. I was halfway expecting it to be plastic. The base, however, is plastic, which is fine but notable. The second thing I noticed is how bright the light is. I was expecting it to be a fair amount dimmer than it actually is. It’s almost bright enough for me to read a book by it. I think it’s a pretty good size. I think smaller would probably not be as interesting and bigger might just take up too much space. For the cost of this I think it’s an incredible value. Absolutely worth the asking price. If the purpose of this piece is to relax, then it has absolutely met its function. A small thing I should mention about the unit I have, is it has a lot of air bubbles in it. It’s not really a problem. I just wasn’t really expecting it. The bubbles do sometimes inhibit the sand from falling, but that just kind of adds to the interesting textures and patterns that occur. Overall, I’m very happy with this lamp. I would for sure buy this again. A solid five stars.
