Seems like a good product but it has not helped our dog. He has a sensitive stomach and has had just as many sick days (the runs or vomiting) as he did before the supplement. Have not seen any reduction in itching. We have used almost the whole bottle, he is taking 2 per day.

I wish I could give this product 10 stars instead of 5! One of my dogs has been having issues with skin rashes, open sores, and extremely bad ear infections in the spring through the fall, she seems to not have any bad symptoms in the winter. Her ears get almost black inside, and had to take her to her vet last year when she shook her head so much that she busted a blood vessel in one of her ear flaps and had to have surgery on it. They cleaned her ears, and put her on an antibiotic which for the most part, cleared her ears up. I used ear wash solution and it seemed to keep her problem at bay last year. This year the problem re-appeared in the spring, her ears began appearing very dark inside and she was shaking her head a lot. She began developing hard spots right below her ear canal on both ears which I could only guess were ear infections. I read something about trying Benadryl so I did and that helped a little, but the more warm it’s become the less Benadryl has helped and her ears eventually became black and moist inside. She also began I’m assuming licking her paws because the skin was pink and she was beginning to lose hair. Also, her stomach had helps all over her and you could tell she was scratching a lot. When I let her out in the yard, she would lay down flat on her stomach and drag herself on the ground to get some relief. I finally decided to try a probiotic and tried this one. I started last week already I can tell a huge difference. Her ears look almost completely normal now, they are white in side with no visible dark moist drainage. Her paws are no longer pink. I wish I had taken before pictures so you could see the difference. This product works and I’m grateful for it…thank you!

I have a little Russell Terrier (11 months old) that has had loose runny stools since I got her at 4 months. She had a bout with giardia (unbenounced to me, she had it continually as a puppy before I got her; all the pups did), and just never got right again. The vet prescribed the antibiotics and pro/prebiotics, but I couldn’t get them IN to her. She’s a picky little eater (not normally a JRT trait, I know, she’s weird), and I just couldn’t. I can’t remember how I came across these; maybe looking for something treat-based that she would eat? Oh and no poultry; the vet put her on a no poultry diet in case that was an allergy. So, here we are, pumpkin based. And she EATS them! At first she kinda mouthed them, and spit them out, then eventually ate them. I broke them in half and did half in the morning and half in the evening for a week. Now she begs for them in the morning. I still break it in half cuz she’s only 10 pounds. But she’ll actually eat them with no drama. It has taken almost a full month, but for the first time in the 7 months I’ve been blessed with the little menace, I’m seeing consistent solid stools. I took to “rating” them from 1 (a puddle), to 5 (YAY Cat-type Poops again!). We went from 2’s and occasional 1’s, to 3’s (mushy and hard to pick up, but at least forming. We call it “stacking” in the horse world) with an occasional 4 (forming actual turds, albeit maybe a little slimy) To this week, 3 weeks after starting, I’m getting consistent 5’s with a few 4’s out there! (and an occasional 3). WOO HOO! Now it’s not just about pick up here, I figure if she’s passing puddles and gooey slimers, then her little tummy isn’t feeling well (I know this by personal experience. Sorry, TMI?), and that breaks my heart. I think she’s eating better, and any Mom of anything loves that. I say if you’re having gooey-poo issues with your pup, give this a try. Give it a month, though. Stay the course. I’d be interested to hear if it helped your picky little weirdo like it helped mine!

Are Boston terrier has horrible gas! So I spent hours reading hundreds of reviews trying to find a solution. We’ve used other probiotics in the past and nothing has helped. I gave our dog half the recommended dosage and it immediately worked. We’ve been using for about a week and she has had little to no gas at all. This is a miracle product! The only issue we have and I’ve seen others have had the same problem is our dog hates them. I had to force feed it to her. Which as you can imagine was not pleasant for her or me. I tried several ways of giving it to her but she could smell it and refuse to eat anything that had it mixed in. I ended up buying dog treat molds here on Amazon and making Greek yogurt and peanut butter treats with the probiotic ground up and mixed in. It’s time consuming but so worth it because these probiotics are amazing! If your dog has stomach issues like mine these are definitely the answer.

I have a 14 year old Pug, Casey, whom I adopted from Kansas City Pug Rescue 13 years ago. Casey was born with many health issues including being the smallest ‘runt’ in her litter, plus, Casey was unable to walk due to knee/hip problems. Pug Rescue worked with a team of great orthopedic surgeons, and after three operations, she began to walk.
I adopted Casey at the end of her first year, and at the time of her adoption she had one remaining surgery. Over the next six months, Casey learned how to walk and play (she even learned how to potty correctly, outdoors). As you might imagine, the time I spent with Casey developed into the deepest ‘heart bound’ possible.
Along with the above mentioned health issues, Casey also has terrible digestion issues. Because we are so close, Casey was able to indicate to me specific foods that her digestive system could not tolerate. If I tried serving her any food with preservatives or grains, she was quick to smell her food, step back, and turn her head in such a way that I knew the food upset her system (when she eats any ‘processed’ food or foods containing grains, she would typically throw up).
Casey also has siezures apporximately every six months. I can tell when she is worried about having a siezure as she will stop eating, and at night she will sleep pulled very close to my arms. (When Casey has a siezure, she knows that I am there to hold her, and help control her body and calm her, until the siezure stops and she is calm). I am blessed to be her companion during her journey here on earth!
I feed Casey all natural food; this is the ONLY food that does not upset her digestive system, and it also helps keep the siezures at a minimum. I also provide healthy treats and filtered water (yes, the water our dogs digest can negatively impact their health). Some people might think caring for her is too much work, for me, it is just part of loving and caring for another companion.
About six months ago Casey’s digestive problems seemed to increase. She was having days where she just was not comfortable eating any food. I talked with my Vet and she suggested I try a Pro-biotic in her diet.
I tried several brands, and loved the PetHonesty Brand Probiotic. Casey has no problem eating the treats, and now her appetite is better. I give it to both of my dogs, one male Pekingese, who has allergies, one female pound rescue, who has a very weak digestive track, both of them seniors. I have noticed my boy chewing on his feet significantly less. I catch him chewing maybe twice a day vs constantly through the day during high allergy season. My girl’s diarrhea and vomiting stopped within a day or so. She had a couple more episodes but I think that was due to me changing her food. She tends to shy away from any food that she has ever vomited. My husband thinks she’s neurotic, and I agree to a degree but I also think she’s smart and associates smell and experience. Anyway, probiotics have been a rule of thumb for her ever since we adopted her. She was actually surrendered to the pound by her previous owner at age 11 or 12 because she couldn’t control her bowels. After adoption I promptly took her to the vet, did some blood work and fecal testing just to make sure she wasn’t suffering from something more serious. Once she was given a thumbs up she was prescribed a very high concentration of probiotics that are formulated for fast relief. Time went by and she had her 1st accident a month later. Ever since she has been on daily probiotics and strain count matters! In my experience, my girl needs at least 4 billion CFU’s daily to keep her tummy happy. You have to be consistent with any probiotic as it helps restore the protective lining in the tummy. If you lapse doses the lining will begin to deteriorate again, especially when you pump is older. I have used one other brand, Pet Paws I think, that is no longer available on Amazon. It was a powder with 10 billion CFU’s so I was able to lower the dose which made it last. It dependably did the trick, but with picky eaters it was a challenge to administer. These chews are very convenient and both of my babies respond to them as if its treat time. So far this brand has offered my fury balls of love a lot of relief . The price point is pretty good compared to other chew brands that have a lower strain count, which is most important to me. Over all I am happy with these chews. I do give them another brand in the evening that has a super low strain count because my girl has a severely weak tummy, but I’m positive most of her relief is from this product. I do a lot things for myself that are natural to fight my own illness and I have been able to avoid being placed back on medication. I believe our dogs can benefit the same way if they are given preventive natural alternatives. Of course I don’t think probiotics solve everything, but they are an excellent preventive and in some cases, corrective solution to common problems.

I am still happy with the performance of the product, however this last batch contained oddly shaped chews. They were heart-like before and these look like a leaf or something. Not a huge deal, but then I realized there were just huge chunks mixed in. Disappointing because my girl heavily relies on probiotics so I have no choice but to use the intact chews. Dosing matters so I’m really unhappy with this last purchase. Is this a quality issue or one bad batch?

If you have dogs with sensitivities, give this a try. We transitioned from the trial size to the full size with no issues. The improvements were almost immediate:
Eyes: No more watering for my littlest dog.
Skin: My other dog stopped licking paws and itching at their ears.
Dental: The dental powder has noticeably improved their breath and tartar.
It is so hard to find products that don’t make them sick, but Pet Honesty has been perfect. Truly happy with these results!

If you have a Goldendoodle (infamous for stomach/digestive issues, look no further! After trying multiple digestive aids from vet’s, I decided to try this product. Very quickly, my doodle stopped ear scratching and paw chewing and the consistently loose stools turned into perfectly formed “deposits” easily retrieved during cleanup. My dog loves the taste, they are easily chewed, are made of clean/quality ingredients and she looks forward to them every night before bed. The product itself is great, but I’ve never actually received the full 90-count as advertised. Going forward, I’ll be counting them as soon as they arrive and will return the order if there aren’t 90, because it’s extremely frustrating. I purchase this at the same time as the orange jar (for allergies/itch relief), and both are supposed to contain 90 servings; I give my dogs the same amount from each every day, and by the end of the month the jars never run out at the same time.

This product worked wonders. Terrible dog food had our girl down bad with yeast issues. By day two of taking these chews she was visibly starting to show improvement. The pain and stiffness began to lift, and she was slowly regaining her normal mobility. The redness in her eyes began fading. Her energetic personality returned and we were so relieved. Honestly, this product gave us our dog back without having to take her to the vet and incurring a huge bill. We will be buying this brand going forward and ditching the other chews. I picked up these probiotics hoping to help with my dog’s occasional diarrhea and digestive issues. Flavor-wise, they’re a hit—my dog actually looks forward to them, which is rare for supplements. The chews are soft and easy to give, and the ingredients seem clean and pet-safe.
Unfortunately, they didn’t work as expected. After consistent use, I didn’t notice much improvement in stool quality or frequency of digestive flare-ups. It might work better for dogs with milder issues, but in our case, it didn’t make a noticeable difference.
I appreciate the effort to make a palatable product, but for actual bowel support, I’ll be exploring other options.
