My dog, Buster, is a total sweetheart, but he gets really worked up over every little thing. The doorbell rings, and he’s a barking maniac. A loud car goes by, and he’s pacing like crazy. Setting it up was a joke, in a good way. You just plug it into the wall, and that’s it. There’s no weird scent or anything, which was a relief. I didn’t see a huge change right away, but after a couple of days, I started noticing little things. He was less jumpy when the mailman came to the door. He wasn’t as frantic about every little noise outside. It was a subtle change, but a really big one. I started to think, “Wait a minute… is this actually working?”

The smell was very strong and it made several of us in the house sneeze badly, including one of the dogs. Sadly, it had no effect on our anxious Winnie. If I could give 0 stars I would , I have a Kangal Shepherd/ Belgian Malinois mix who is high energy, crazy , and always bored and a huge thief ! He steals everything just for attention and boredom , so when I read about these products for about the 200th time I decided to try it. Big mistake and waste of money , I got 3 just like all the reviews said , well my boy he’s 1and a half got crazier !! And he barks at them constantly! They even have a weird smell like plastic burning ! The first day I thought the back area of my house was on fire ! They did NOT help ! In fact they made life worse !!

My wife and I show and breed dogs, which means that from time to time, one of our girl dogs comes into season. When that happens, our boy dogs (who are intact) go nuts. They whine and howl all night, go off their food, and are frantic to get to the girl dog. Adding this product to the situation is basically pheromones vs. pheromones. It’s really no surprise that a small diffuser can’t fully defeat the powerful natural pheromones of a girl ready to do the deed, but it did settle the boys down noticeably and made them more comfortable in their crates. It’s not a complete solution, but it is helpful.
While this product is claimed to be odorless, it does have a faint scent, but it’s not bad or anything. Perhaps that was just the plastic outgassing as it warmed up for the first time. It either went away or I stoped noticing it after a couple of days.

Purchased 3 diffusers and a extra refill. Received everything and plugged 2 of them in about a month ago. We have a small house so I have both of them plugged in our living room – at each end of the room. Have to say I’m still on the fence as to if they are really having a calming effect on our 10 month Beagle puppy. He’s a very hyper puppy and loves zoomies! I’m not giving up – I’ll continue to use them. Maybe it just takes a long time to be effective. They are cute!
