    I’ve been a fan of Yogi Organic tea for years, so I had high hopes for this Soothing Relief Constipation Support Tea. However, it isn’t reliable for me.
    I was using a different brand called Smooth Move, and after drinking a cup in the morning, I would have to go to the bathroom 3-4 hours later. This brand doesn’t work nearly as well. I’ve tried it six times, and it has only worked twice for me. It may work better for people that don’t have chronic constipation.
    The taste is good, for a senna tea. I mostly taste the peppermint and a little licorice flavor. But, because I can’t depend on it, I’m planning to go back to my previous brand.

    This tea is very mild. I added some natural sugar and the taste was good. I didn’t feel any discomfort through the night. There was no superpoop this morning, just a regular event. Just like we like it. We aren’t normally hot tea drinkers, but for the occasions when some extra help is necessary, this product has my approval.

    I struggle with intermittent constipation and have purchased other Yogi brand teas in the past with mixed results. I mostly go for their ginger teas as they greatly help with indigestion and stomach upset, but this one didn’t work as well as I’d hoped. I’ve heard good things about Senna leaf and was hoping for a mild laxative. This tea suggests drinking at night before bed, which I did, however it did not always result in a morning BM. I’ve found that Kefir works better for keeping me regular. It didn’t seem to have any affect on my quality of sleep which is good, but it also didn’t seem to provide any relaxation (which I wasn’t really expecting anyways). It has a pleasant taste, although slightly bitter. If you don’t typically like bitter things, this may not be for you, but it’s tolerable in the way that some teas can have a bitterness to them. I’ve never had any complaints on quality of herbs though from Yogi. They’re still one of my favorite brands of tea and sell high quality blends. It’s a good value even if it’s not as strong as I’d prefer and I’m sure it works well for people who need a smaller dose of laxative. If you’re looking to add some new variety to your methods of keeping things regular, this may be a good option for some.

    This tea is surprisingly effective without being too harsh. I’ve used it occasionally when I needed a little help getting things moving, and it consistently works by the next morning. The senna definitely does its job, but the peppermint and sage make it taste more pleasant than most teas in this category.

    It’s not something I drink regularly, but it’s a nice option to have on hand. I also appreciate that it’s organic and non-GMO. Just be sure to follow the directions and only use it when needed—it’s gentle, but it is a laxative.

    So many of these in one pack and I’ll definitely need more to support my gut health as well as detox. It has a fresh herbal taste and so far relaxes me. I like the fact it is organic and feels of good quality herbs.

    Yogi Teas have been around a long time and are a trusted name in the tea space. I know that they source quality ingredients and use eco-friendly packaging. Rest assured, their tea bags are not made of plastic and disbursing microplastics into your tea!

    Senna tea has long been used to remedy constipation so I was delighted to find this Senna tea from Yogi to try. It has a pleasant taste and really helps you to move things along!

    I think this stuff really works. The laxative medication senokot is derived from the senna leaf, so this is kind of a roundabout way of getting that. The tea has a pleasant mild herbal flavor and does not contain caffeine so it’s okay to have at night.

    TMI anecdote – I am chronically constipated and had a cup of this tea in the evening last night. I had a small bowel movement before bed, then by the end of the morning today I had the largest bowel movement of my life. But it was a hard stool and required a LOT of straining. I think the Senna really cleared me out in a way I never have been before, but I would maybe try it for the first time on a day when you’re not at work or don’t have any important commitments. I would also maybe combine it with something to soften the stool and make sure you’re well hydrated beforehand. The senna stimulates your bowel movement, but if the stool remains hard you might end up in a tough situation like mine.
