I’m very cautious about what items I add to my hiking backpack. Before buying or replacing gear, I consider the item’s quality, price, usefulness (do I really need it or is it just kind of cool), and importantly, its weight. This whistle scores on all counts.
First, it is well-constructed of good material. Also, as hiking gear goes, the price is inconsequential. Its usefulness speaks for itself. But, I’ll say something about safety anyway.
This sucker is LOUD! I mean, ear-shattering loud!!! If I fall into a ravine and have the ability to blow a whistle, somebody is going to find me eventually. It’s conceivable you could surprise and disorient an attacker with a strong whistle blow alongside his ear. If lucky enough to accomplish that feat, believe me, his ears are going to be ringing badly. Yours will too but you will at least know it is coming. That momentary shock might allow you to get free.
OK – enough with the paranoid stuff. I can envision this whistle coming in very handy in the event of a medical emergency or when encountering an aggressive, unleashed dog on the trail.
Finally, the whistle along with the ring, weighs a mere .6 ounces / 17 grams. That’s a small price to pay for added security when in the woods.
By the way, I have been carrying a wonderful Acme Tornado Whistle, but it is made of hard plastic. I like this whistle at least as much, if not more, than my Tornado Whistle.

まだ全力では吹いてませんが、軽くふいただけでいい音で鳴きます。
金属製で耐久性も高そうなので、長期的に頼りになる相棒となるでしょう。
一点、これ自体が金属製なので、多分水には沈みそうな気がします。試してはいませんが。
何かしら浮くものをリングに付けておかないと、客船が沈没した際に救助ボートを呼ぶことができないかのうせいはあります。

okay build quality. the edges aren’t smooth but don’t notice when in use. easy to use and every loud .. guess that’s what really matters. although light, it’s very sturdy .. don’t expect any problems.

TISUR Loud Emergency Whistles,130db, I had to get one and try it out first; very pleasantly surprised; sound is loud, & very different, so I’m guaranteed someone will respond to see what it is. The emergency whistle is well made/solid in its construction, plus the perfect type of key ring is attached to it too. I love the fact that it is made out of stainless steel & will outlast me in durability. This whistle can be worn on a neckless, bracelet, purse, backpack, & no and on besides on your key ring. The cost of this whistle is wonderful, and would make a good present for everyone to have; beautifully designed brush steel, small in size, loud in sound, light weight, and easy to use if you need help in a hurry.

吹き鳴らしにはある程度コツが必要なので、近所迷惑にならないよう練習しておいたほうがいいと思います。

It’s a nice whistle and my dogs are in love with the sound (I’ll keep it for them). But it’s not loud at all. It’s not even as loud as a normal ref’s whistle. I doubt it’s use for alerting anyone who isn’t close by.
