Love the tubes and cork stoppers. I am a sucker for interesting jars and containers I guess. The cinnamon is curious; I have never seen it in big pieces like that. We will have to grind it I guess? The dill looks like seeds, not the delicate leaf part. Anyways, all the herbs had rich colors and I can’t wait to try them all.

Packaging is attractive as a gift. Containers are reminiscent of an apothecary lab, stoppered test-tube like. expiration date is approximately 2 years. Unfortunately, the spices are duds. Not revealing a scent or flavor. Disappointing as far as functionality and attractive as a gift. Better left as a display than an actual ingredient. Or better yet, best as left unpurchased.

These have been perfect for me. Not only do they look amazing, but they are exactly what I need as a single person who has too many old, tired spice jars in my cabinet. I can never finish a jar of spice and instead end up with years-old jars of spice. This set has rejuvenated my spice cabinet with fresh spices/herbs that are the most commonly used ones. So practical to have and I’ve been so pleased with the quality and taste. The set looks gorgeous and its delivered on its flavor as well.

I have not found this sampler packet of spices to be very helpful. The spices that recipes called for we’re not included in this kit.

The packaging on this spices and kid is the star. Make for a nice gift with some opening impact. However, for real cooks? The amount you get of each spice is very small. For a niche gift (designed for beginning cooks or cooks unfamiliar with American spices, perhaps?) it is a nice choice.
