You have to cook it forever and the price is outrageous! That said, the taste is decent and being able to enjoy linguine without guilt makes both cost and cook time (40 min) well worth it to us. I will definitely buy this again and plan to try some of Pete’s other pasta products.

So far I have only tried the elbow macaroni, but I have already ordered several more types. Unbelievably good for low carb pasta.
I’ve tried so many low carb pastas and this is almost like regular pasta: the chew, the texture, the flavor. Admittedly a little less flavor than regular pasta. I know there are those who like to eat plain pasta with just some butter and salt and pepper. For those folks they might miss that flavor more than the rest of us who use different sauces and proteins with it.
I used cheddar cheese powder with butter and half and half to make a cheese sauce. Wowza!
Now, please don’t think this will be exactly like a handmade real Italian pasta at a nice restaurant; but this absolutely scratches the itch like no other low carb pasta I have tried. Think more of a replacement for the generic dry pasta from the supermarket that you mix up with a good sauce and some protein.
Yes, it’s pricey, but worth it for this recovering carb addict.

Pretty expensive for a relatively small quantity. Also, I found that it tasted fine but it had a very strange texture almost like it wasn’t cooked and it took forever to cook. Probably not a future purchase for me.

If you are on keto or diabetic and you are craving pasta, this is for you. It is pretty much just normal pasta. The texture is right. The flavor is right it absorbs the sauce right. I don’t know why somebody hasn’t come up with this first, but thank God they did.

I am on a low carb diet for various medical issues, but I was really missing pasta. I have only tried the elbow so far, but I loved it. I did find it raised my blood sugar a little bit, so I will have to eat it in moderation (I had approximately 1/4 of the package for each meal I ate). The taste was fine, very similar to real dried pasta. It took a fair bit longer than real pasta to cook, as it is much firmer. The macaroni is still quite al dente, even after cooking it for longer than the recommended al dente time (11-20 minutes stated on the package, I boiled it for about 14-15). It does not absorb water as well as normal pasta, either, so my sauce ended up a bit runny (next time I will drain it longer/better). I do wish they sold the spaghetti in Canada, but for now the smaller noodles will have to do. It is quite expensive, as I’m finding most keto foods are, over $16 for a package, which works out to just over $4 for each serving. Macaroni and cheese was so good after being missed for over a year, though!

Great low carb pasta! Tastes great, good texture, nice packaging. Will be buying again when it’s back in stock. I’ve tried some other konjac noodles and other low carb pastas, yes they were lower in carbs but the experience is just ruined with those. This is a 7g net carbs that’s worth it.

Pete’s pasta is delicious. It is a game changer for Keto. I have not had pasta for nearly 5 years. Now I can have it and it actually taste like real pasta and not like vegetables or some other creation. I made Mac and cheese using heavy cream and shredded cheese with the elbow noodles. I have had penne noodles with the marinara sauce. It is the best keto purchase I have made and I am always buying new keto products.

TL;DR version: Tastes almost like regular pasta, but a little chalky.

I tried this for its high-protein content. For a lazy meal, I’d like to just toss some pasta into a pot and pour some bottled sauce (heat in microwave if necessary), plus a simple salad. Unfortunately regular pasta doesn’t have much protein, so I also need to cook some ground beef to add to the sauce. I figured with high-protein pasta, I could skip the ground beef step.

I cooked Pete’s rotini with the recommended amount of water until it was soft enough for my preference, which may be a little softer than some prefer (I think about 20 minutes). I noticed a small amount had disintegrated in the pot, with a white powder sticking to the side after I poured out the pot – something I don’t see with regular pasta.

When I ate the rotini, I liked the taste, almost like regular pasta. However it had a powdery or chalky feel on my tongue, which is the main reason I don’t rate this 5 stars. I saw that the rotini was slowly disintegrating in the bowl as I ate, getting a little softer and rotini pieces melting into each other. This didn’t matter eating rotini with a spoon shortly after cooking it (before it congeals into pasta pudding), but I don’t know how well eating the spaghetti version with a fork would work.

I think I’ll stick to just regular (low protein) pasta, taking the time to cook some ground beef with it if I want the protein. But if I had some health reason why I couldn’t eat regular pasta, I would definitely make this a regular part of my diet. I tried a couple of other high-protein pastas, and disliked their taste. This is the best alternate-pasta I’ve tried.

I like the nutritional content, high protein, low carbs. Expect this to cook all dente unless you learn something I didn’t. Online hints to make it softer say to cook longer than directions, and let it sit in the hot water. Cooked 20 minutes, sat 20 minutes, still al dente.

This pasta is so good! Its texture is a bit firmer than regular pasta but the taste is great. I love that it’s high protein. Goes great with any sauces – I do tomato sauce, Alfredo, and just butter and Parmesan cheese.

I’m a certified pasta lover. I’m also a type 2 diabetic, and I struggle to get enough fiber on a low carb diet. Try this! Honestly, it’s so, SO good. I do cook every type an extra 5-10 minutes than the box recommends. We’ve made Alfredo, ziti, pasta salads- all of our favorites and we feel like we’re cheating. But we aren’t! It’s delicious! It’s expensive, but for me it’s definitely worth the price to eat delicious Italian meals again and genuinely enjoy it. On my way to buy our third variety pack!

yes its expensive and i wish it was cheaper, but here is the deal. it tastes great, low carb, and there is nothing better. Tried them all and best of all, none of the chemicals. pay more and get the good and healty stuff. the texture is fantastic, its easy to make and amazing.

The good: The flavor is that of pasta. If you taste it plain you’ll notice the texture is not 100% accurate to actual pasta. If you load it up with sauce you won’t notice. It’s low carb.

The bad: at $40 for 24oz of pasta I’d never buy it again. That’s insanity.
Protein from gluten isn’t all that bioavailable compared to an animal based protein so take the 17g with a grain of salt.

Overall it’s an excellent low carb solution but the pricing is an insult.

Great Tasting. It is a little floppy after cooked per instructions. Actually taste correct with normal sauces.

If you are a diehard pasta lover, Italian or live for pasta you probably won’t care for Pete’s. But I’m Keto and I just won’t waste carbs on pasta. It’s true, this pasta is firmer but not hard when cooked and can’t be overcooked or at least I don’t think so. It doesn’t become mushy. I made marinara meat sauce, cooked my pasta, drained, added a little olive oil, placed in a bowl, added my meat sauce and shredded some parmesan cheese on it. I was very happy having a bowl of pasta. I look forward to making a pasta salad soon. Yes, it’s expensive but I have no intentions of eating it daily. This is a good choice for me and I hope it will be for you, too.

This pasta is very expensive, but it is damn well worth it. My daughter makes the best keto mac & cheese I’ve ever had. It is so good taste better than the real pasta.

It’s pricey and al dente even if cooked for a long time but if you’ve got a pasta lover who needs low carbs and can’t live a happy life without pasta, this is the ticket. The taste is outstanding. Even a small serving is filling.

Stiff, hard to cook, does not taste like pasta at all. If you look at the pictures from their web site, it appears as though this product is just like regular pasta. It is not. Don’t expect silky soft noodles, even after hours of cooking. I tried soaking over night, which softened them slightly, but the texture turned to mush. Don’t expect to be able to twirl around your fork. They are more like little twigs than pasta. BUT…

Though they do not taste like pasta, it’s not a bad flavor at all. I kind of like it now. My initial disappointment came from unmet expectations. I really wanted an exact replica of genuine pasta that would not blast my blood sugar (I have type 1 diabetes). I wanted plates full of this pasta to look like the idyllic pictures on their web page. Once I let go of those pictures, I could appreciate the product for what it was: A noodle shaped, stiff, sort-of pasta. It will never be “fork-spinable” like real pasta.

Let the dream of delicious zero carb pasta go and you can appreciate this stuff. These will not twirl on any fork. But, break the sticks into 1/3 or 1/4 length pieces, and they’re great with cheese sauce or marinara. Expect to cook them twice as long as standard spaghetti; 30 mins minimum. Cooking them 6 hours won’t change the consistency. They do not taste like pasta at all, but I like the unique buttery flavor.
Would I buy again? You might be surprised when I say yes. This is a new food, with different texture and a new flavor. I’m still experimenting with it. I would encourage you to do the same, but I would not buy 3 boxes of the stuff to start. One is plenty.

This is expensive pasta, but the taste is really great. Not quite as soft and elastic as normal pasta, but if you must eat low carb, this is the best low carb pasta I have tried. I love it. Even my kids like it.
It cooks quickly in boiling water, and be careful not to boil it too long as it can begin to lose structure.
Finally, I have been honest about where it fails to perfectly simulate normal pasta, but this low carb pasta really is delicious! There is no strange flavor or after-taste, and I use the various shapes and types of pasta for any traditional pasta recipe.
