I bought the Smart Cupping Therapy Massager hoping to tackle some chronic tightness in my upper traps and shoulders from long hours at a desk. I’ve always been curious about cupping but never wanted to go through the hassle and expense of a professional session.
This device is surprisingly easy to use right out of the box. The controls are intuitive, letting you switch between the standard mode and the vibrating massage/cupping combo. I found the suction to be strong and deeply satisfying—it pulls the muscle up in a way that feels like it’s actually addressing the deep knots. I usually stick with the lowest or medium setting; the highest is quite intense!
The heat function is fantastic and makes a huge difference. I feel the warmth penetrating right where the suction is pulling, which instantly feels more therapeutic. The red light is harder to judge if it’s doing anything, but I always run it anyway. After a 10-minute session on a stubborn muscle, the area feels significantly less dense and more flexible. Yes, it leaves those classic red marks, but they fade in a few days.
My biggest drawback, and why I took off a star, is the ergonomics for self-use. It’s incredibly difficult to place and activate on the hardest-to-reach areas of your own back (like the lower shoulder blade). This is definitely a device that works best when a partner can help, or if you’re strictly using it on your legs, arms, or abdomen.

As someone who struggles with knots, stress, and tension, this has been a miracle worker in helping to relieve some of those aches and pains. It is easy to use, and with the combination of the very powerful suction and red light .therapy, both combined help loosen up my muscles that are in tight knots all over my body. On the first time using this device, you will definitely feel it, and you will definitely see it, the redish-purple-blue circular “hickeys” will be all over your body.
It has a very strong suction ability and it’s really powerful. It is also easy to charge and holds that charge for quite some time. It is the most technologically innovative and effective cupping system I have ever tried, plus it’s an affordable alternative to getting this service in a beauty spa.
Now for a suggestion and a few words of caution!
I would think for overall treatment of the body, wholistically, I would prefer to treat both sides of the body, symmetrically using this process on both sides of the body at the same time. So, I would think that two cupping devices would make 100% sense to me. Maybe they would think about offering that option in the future.
I want to emphasize that this NOT A TOY!
Please, please, please be very careful when you first start using it! The suction is incredibly strong. If you use it at a level that is too high or leave it at one specific location on your body for too long, it can cause significant bruising , extreme discoloration, and even break the skin, which could lead to some scabbing and blistering.
Start on the lowest setting to see how your skin reacts and move it frequently to avoid any issues.
Used correctly, it’s an amazing tool!
