The SIZE. It’s like half the height of a soda can, if that. I used to bring my full size fan-based noise machine and this saves so much space and weight.
Volume level exceeded my expectations.

No looping, at least in the sounds I’ve used so far.
Rotating speaker allows for flexibility in the projected sound.
Bluetooth functionality for using it as a speaker.
USB-C charging, so for me that’s yet another device I can charge with my single charger, which saves space for trips.
Long battery life.
Suggestions for improvement:
Low battery notification – preferably using the existing red LED for charging.
Slightly bigger buttons.
More colors and finishes. 🙂
It definitely increases my ability to sleep on trips, as it blocks out most noise and heavily deafens overly loud sounds, to the point I can’t really hear them well enough to decipher and can still sleep easily. I highly recommend this thing to anyone looking for a travel-friendly noise machine.

We use this for white noise for a 2.5 year old and it’s brilliant for that purpose. It’s not easy for him to fiddle with the buttons, no cables for him to pull out, or little bits to make a chocking hazard. Plenty of choice with the noises and one charge lasts at least the full night, we’ve not tried it any longer.
It’s tiny so easy to hide on a window sill or somewhere similar and will be easy to take away with us on overnight trips.
Since buying I have noticed the price fluctuating by about £15 depending on the seller. We bought it at the lower end and, although it’s fantastic, I don’t think it would be as good value at £50.

Got this about a year ago for my wife who needs some background noise to sleep. Her phone app kept cutting out and separately her old bluetooth speaker battery was dying. I decided to solve both problems and get her this. Worked great for both purposes and she was super happy. A few days ago she told me the sound was cutting out unless the speaker was in just the right position. Since it was still in the warranty period I reached out to ASTI support via email and within minutes they had a new speaker on the way to replace the defect. So five stars for the speaker and for the customer service.

This is small but mighty. So many nice features in such a small package. It has a very full sound and full range of volume, including deeper tones. The controls are necessarily very small, but for me, I just had to choose a sound and volume once and I’m all set. I’ve not felt the need for a bluetooth speaker yet, but nice to know this will function as one. There is an indicator light to let you know when the unit is charged (don’t laugh; there is one notorious one out there that doesn’t!). The speaker rotates upward to face directly at you, if desired. So far, I’m very happy with this, unlike another one that I tried which was cheaper, for a reason!

I’ve now owned this thing for over two years. Honestly I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet, because I LOVE IT! I’ve used my little LectroFan all over the world, to drown out the next room over, the people in the hallway, and the street outside to get much better sleep than those who didn’t have the world’s tiniest powerful white noise machine in their room. And it really is small – but mighty. I keep this in my little tech pouch for travel. It’s important enough for my sleep that I make sure there’s room to bring it even if I’m personal item only, like for Frontier, Jetstar, and similar. My husband loves it as well. My teens claim to hate it, but even they can’t deny they sleep better when it’s going and we’re in a new to us place with noises we’re not used to. Even now, after more than two years of use every month or two, I can get two full nights out of it before the battery needs charging. It charges quickly. I used it as a Bluetooth speaker once too, and it has good sound for that despite its size. If you are a light sleeper or travel a lot, I highly recommend this little device!

I started using a sound machine to mask a CPAP machine. I was hesitant of electronic devices due to repeats and such. But I’m going on a trip and wanted a smaller device to take with me. This one is very compact but works great. One of the fan options completely masks the CPAP sounds and I’m now sleeping better since not getting annoyed with the cpap noises. It’s more effective at masking than the mechanical machine I have. It lasts at least 2 full nights on 1 charge. I haven’t fully tested battery life yet. The way the speaker swivels up is slick as well. There are cheaper options but glad I went with this one.

I did a lot of research before buying this as I wanted something I could travel with, (so USB charged) and also a specific sound of white noise that I had found on an app and played through my phone. I saw a useful You Tube review by an independent reviewer and he very helpfully played the sounds of each product, so I knew that this would replicate that exactly, whereas many of the others didn’t. It also has a good choice of white noise sounds, which are more what I require, as opposed to sounds of water/nature or melodies.
It’s incredibly compact and feels nicely weighty and well made. It is the perfect size to chuck in a travel bag and takes up next to no room on a bedside desk. Just about the only thing that could be improved is the buttons which are small and I find I can’t usually operate without turning the light on. This could of course be because of my sausage fingers! That said, other than sliding the on/off switch at night and again in the morning, I tend to leave the volume and sound settings the same, so it’s not really an issue.
The sound it chucks out is amazing for its size and the directional speaker does make a difference – I always use it with this deployed. The first few weeks I had it I wasn’t at home and didn’t have access to a suitably close power supply, so I ran it off the battery and charged it during the day. I found it went 3 – 4 nights on a full charge. I like it quite loud, so maybe that uses more power than a quieter volume? Once I was back home I plugged in the USB cable and have it attached to that and the power source all the time and it sits by my bed. There’s a small green light on the back, but it has never disturbed me and it could be covered with a tiny bit of tape if it was an issue. I recall reading reviews where people said the USB connection port was prone to failure, so I decided to leave the cable in to reduce wear and tear. I’ve not had any issues.
In terms of effectiveness I find that it really helps me sleep and stay asleep. I live in 5th floor flat in a busy area, with a main road junction and the associated police/fire/ambulance noise that always accompanies their approach to it, day or night. There are rail lines and frequent aircraft noise from the landing and take-off patterns at LHR and LCY. I also have a selection of neighbours who don’t always appreciate that night time is not the right time for loud noise and their gardens host the nocturnal gatherings of foxes. Anyone who knows what foxes sound like at night knows that it isn’t soothing. There’s a primary school a couple of streets away and when the kids are out at breaktime the noise feels like they’re in the house with me. On top of that there is a public car park very close, so associated noise with that and the Police helicopters fly past at low altitude multiple times day and night, en route to from their base. All in all a challenging environment. Add to that that I really like my bedroom window open most of the year to provide fresh air and that I regularly have strange working hours which require sleeping at all times of day and night. So this thing has its work cut out.
It doesn’t blot out everything, obviously, but I find that I have a quite high tolerance for noise, so having it on quite loud does do a remarkably good job as it is a consistent sound, rather than all the random sounds of the outside. I woke up one morning recently and on turning it off heard a conversation going on below my open window, which was accompanied by a car engine running and the sounds of the car radio – none of which I had been able to hear with the white noise on. I know it would probably have woken my up pre-alarm had I not been using the Lectrofan. The door buzzer to my block is pretty loud in the flat and always used to wake me up. I unfortunately missed a delivery recently as this thing blotted out enough of the jarring ‘beep beep’ that I slept through a courier who arrived only three hours after I’d hit the sack. Coupled with blackout curtains, the Lectrofan makes me fall asleep much easier than I would without that buffer layer of white noise to smooth out the rough edges of the noise outside. It is very rare that I wake up in the middle of the night now for anything other than the call of nature!

Il est de tous mes voyages, tellement léger et petit. Une seule critique, il y a beaucoup trop de sons blanc à mon goût, j aurais aimé plus de sons nature, je ne supporte pas les sons de ventilateurs et machines, c est juste du bruit horrible pour moi. J utilise donc uniquement la mer, très efficace. Et une autre critique : son prix élevé, j aimerait en acheté un 3eme à laisser dans la valise, j ai tellement peur de l oublier !

I’ve been a dedicated fan sleeper since college. I need consistent background noise to fall asleep. On a recent camping trip, I heard the soothing hum of a fan from a friend’s setup and had to know what it was. Turns out it was a LectroFan! As soon as I got home, I ordered two.
What I love most about this model is its portability and battery capability: plug it in normally, but it keeps running on its rechargeable battery if the power goes out m. It offers plenty of sound options—enough variety that I quickly found the perfect one for me. The precise volume control lets me dial it in to exactly the right level, no more too loud or too quiet.
I was pleasantly surprised by how compact it is. It takes up very little space in my suitcase, making it ideal for trips—though it’s so small that sometimes it’s tricky to spot among my packed clothes!
If you’re a fan sleeper who travels frequently or wants to upgrade from an old, bulky unit, I highly recommend the LectroFan. It’s reliable, versatile, and has become an essential part of my sleep routine.

Pros:
The SIZE. It’s like half the height of a soda can, if that. I used to bring my full size fan-based noise machine and this saves so much space and weight.
Volume level exceeded my expectations.
11 different sounds to choose from.
No looping, at least in the sounds I’ve used so far.
Rotating speaker allows for flexibility in the projected sound.
Bluetooth functionality for using it as a speaker.
USB-C charging, so for me that’s yet another device I can charge with my single charger, which saves space for trips.
Long battery life.
Suggestions for improvement:
Low battery notification – preferably using the existing red LED for charging.
Slightly bigger buttons.
More colors and finishes. 🙂
It definitely increases my ability to sleep on trips, as it blocks out most noise and heavily deafens overly loud sounds, to the point I can’t really hear them well enough to decipher and can still sleep easily. I highly recommend this thing to anyone looking for a travel-friendly noise machine.

I’ve been suffering from tinnitus for years and finally decided to get a white noise machine to help. This tiny device is perfect; I’ve never slept so well in my life!
Battery Life:
I generally have this plugged in while I’m sleeping, so it charges and plays noise perfectly. I use it almost all day, every day, without being plugged in, and it continues to work through at least a full day. I have not had an opportunity to test the full battery life yet, but I don’t think it will be a problem.
Sound Options / Volume Levels:
There are several sound options to choose from. There is one that closely (though not perfectly) masks my tinnitus. The volume range is great – It helps with everything from sitting in a silent room to hearing it over the TV or a podcast.
Bluetooth:
I have not used this as a Bluetooth speaker yet. I did connect it to my phone, though, and the process was straightforward.
Overall:
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a white noise machine. It’s small, so portable, and works wonderfully. I went from taking hours to fall asleep to being asleep in minutes. If you’re on the fence, take the plunge. You won’t find a better product, especially not at this price point!
