It is Okay, but not as tasty as other vendor. Of course, the price is on the low end as well.

If you like Peru coffee this is probably for you. No complaints, wonderful quality. Grinds and brews just as it should. The taste is good and balanced, not bitter or burnt tasting. Puts a nice smell in the air too.

Not bad for the price but I usually buy these to organize house blend from Costco and I was shocked at how dry these beans were. I had to use more to get the right strength which caused me to go through it faster. It does taste chocolatey which was nice but I don’t think I’d buy it again.

If you enjoy a standard cup of black coffee (which is surprisingly hard to find) but don’t wanna break the bank – the Peruvian beans are perfect. Not too acidic, or overroasted (burnt). My husband and I can agree on these medium roast beans (he generally likes light roasts and I like darker roasts). I’m super sensitive to caffeine and this will get you the right amount of coffee wake up without keeping you strung out all night. As with all coffee beans, your grinder/coffee maker matters. We have a Jura (best coffee manufacturer in my opinion) so the beans can be properly appreciated. Not weak coffee like kpods brew and even better that it’s organic (avoid lots of gross pesticides etc)! Have ordered multiple bags over the years and will continue to order more. Worth their low cost price.

If you enjoy strong, black coffee and have not tried Sumatran coffee, you should. The Amazon brand is a real bargain, much less expensive than the name brands and just as good. Sumatran coffee is dark, strong, and smooth. It has a very straightforward flavor profile that just tastes great. I think of it as the Rolls Royce of coffee, but that’s just my opinion of course. To fully enjoy this great coffee, I would encourage you to invest in a good coffee pot and grinder, as well as a digital scale (to weigh exact portions of whole beans to consistently get just the flavor you want), some sort of a water filter, and an airtight cannister. I use a 5 cup Bonavita coffee maker, a Tuni grinder (set to 16), Zero water filter, an Inevifit digital scale(at 20 grams of coffee beans for 16 oz of water), and an Airscape medium canister (which will hold the entire 12 oz bag of the Sumatran beans). I also use a permanent mesh filter. Paper filters soak up the some of the oils that are in the coffee. Some people prefer that taste, but I do not. I realize that the initial cost outlay is a bit pricey for all of this. However, if you enjoy coffee and drink it every day like I do, it’s absolutely worth every penny. You will be amazed at how much better your coffee will taste with the proper equipment and a little effort.

Very nice coffee for the price. Tastes similar to my normal blend (not SBucks). Would recommend for anyone looking for a dark roast. I grind it very fine almost to a powder form. Tastes great.

Not bad for the price but I usually buy the Kirkland original house blend from Costco and I was shocked at how dry these beans were. I had to use more to get the right strength which caused me to go through it faster. It does taste chocolatey which was nice but I don’t think I’d buy it again.

I tried every currently available Amazon Fresh coffee, Peru and (surprisingly) Light Roast were my favorites. None were bad, but both Peru and Light Roast made me think “this is a good coffee I could drink every day”. Maybe not the best coffee you ever tasted, but darn good. Peru I tried both ground and then whole bean after I bought an Amazon Basics coffee grinder, and the Peru coffee was consistently good.

I learned a trick from ChatGPT it called “the pulse method” using a grinder. Instead of using the grinder for 10 seconds all at once, do 3 or 4 small 3-second grind sessions, which grinds the beans a little more evenly.

Again none of the coffees were bad, but Peru and Light Roast were very good to my tastes. Light Roast is super smooth, kind of like Hawaiian coffee. By the way, if you like Colombian coffee, I prefer the Maxwell House brand to Amazon’s Colombian. But Amazon’s coffees in the 12 ounce bags are inexpensive enough you can try them all and see what you like.

Not the strongest blend, but then it is a medium roast. It’s a smoother cup, nothing like French Roast, more like Columbian. I’m a bit biased as a dark coffee drinker, but for the price, it’s good! if you grind the beans and make it in a French Press, you’ll get a lot more flavor than if you use a drip or put it in a Kcup. For an Amazon brand, this was worth trying.

I’m disappointed. The beans don’t seem to be that fresh. It lacks the flavor I’m use to in coffee.

It has a strong pungent flavor that I puked on when my wife made it way too strong. You have to use about 15% less, and it tastes like espresso. Not too acidic, strong flavor can be too strong.

Makes a great mug of strong coffee with a good taste and aroma that’s keeping me coming back for more.

Earthy and full of complex flavors, like a good Sumatran coffee should. Not as dark and bold as some other Sumatran roasts, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing for many considering the flavors it provides. All in all, even though I like a little darker personally, this is fantastic and I’ll grab some more again.
