It’s incredibly potent smelling and my cat, who is trained so I can brush her teeth, wouldn’t let me get near her with this. this is a very comfortably sized tooth brush and my kitty loves it and the flavor. This is very easy for me to use it comes with a tooth brush and a finger cover with little bristles attached if your cat is into that instead of the tooth brush. the packaging was easy to open i had put everything back into the package for easy organized storage. The toothpaste is a white color in my opinion it looks high quality however it does have a sort of medicine smell to it but overall I will be buying this more in the future because it works its great and my cat loves it and that makes his grooming time for me easier.

My 4 month old Golden Doodle absolutely loves this. She is the first pup to allow me to brush her teeth albeit they are half puppy teeth and half adult just starting to grow in. I wanted to train her young to allow me so I don’t go through the many expensive dental procedures I’ve encountered in the past for my pups. I use a very tiny amount of paste after wetting the tiny brush side. She enjoys me brushing her teeth and I let her nibble on it for 30 seconds after so she doesn’t fear it. Seems to enjoy the chicken flavor without any issues. Her teeth are sparkling white (which most are at this age) , and no issues at all with her breath. I also think the brushing soothes her gums right now as they are growing in. I use gentle pressure and give lots of kisses while doing it so she learns. I use this once a day at night when she is tired and ready for sleep otherwise she is too hyper and thinks it’s a toy to play tug of war with. I think it’s a great value for the money spent! My only caveat with finger cover is she really bites down on it and it doesn’t allow me to brush as well as the actual brush does. Overall I wish I had done this with my other dogs at this stage prior. I will continue with this routine and brand.

I have a 3 mo old kitten and was concerned she wouldn’t like her teeth brushed. She loves it. She’s teething so the silicone brush helps with that. I just have to keep her at a minimum. She also will “attack” the bristle brush and it’s easy to brush her teeth because shes “playing with it”. The enzimatic cleaner works really well. It got rid of her funky breath.
I saw the mixed reviews about some cats not liking it. I’m sure not every cat will love it. But it worked for its purpose for clean breath.

1. Bristles on ‘tooth brush’ WAY too hard. No Dentist in the world would recommend something this stiff to be used on delicate gums – so why you would want to use it on your pet is a mystery to me.
2. Tuna Flavored… has menthol flavor too (yes I tasted it). Why? Cats don’t care if their mouths feel fresh and cool, in fact based on my Clutter – they freaking hate menthol/mint. They are slightly intrigued by the tuna flavor /odor, but there is much head shaking trying to get the yuck sensation out of their mouths from the menthol. I suspect Arm and Hammer does not have the depth of knowledge necessary to be offering products in this market. Regardless, it does not work for my cats. The search continues, but based on learnings from this product – we are going with products designed and approved by vets and dentists.

I wanted to brush my 3 year old cats teeth. She is incredibly patient and lets me stick my finger in her mouth when she’s feeling tired. I thought the bristles looked like if i just put them on her teeth she would be fine. When i put the toothpaste on her mouth, she got up and ran around like crazy, her mouth foaming and dripping everywhere. I wiped her mouth with my hand(didn’t think she’d let me put anything foren near her face) and then she ran away to outside(she’s an indoor outdoor cat) and then came back an hour or more later to lay back down on the bed. Wont be trying that again. Disappointed being I really wanted to brush their teeth because I feel like a bad owner. I don’t even feel like trying it with my other cat, too worried.

The bristles are not soft. My cat loves the taste but it does it have a strong smell. Obviously. I’d recommend it if the bristles were smaller and softer. And if it had a jelly brush handle. The toothbrush itself is plastic and hard.

I’m sure it works well enough, but it must taste horrible. When I used it on my (very tolerant and polite) cat for the first time, she ran away foaming at the mouth and crying. My vet then recommended a different toothpaste that she was able to tolerate.
