Bought this for our one cat who was particularly stinky, so much so that he was called stinky more than his actual name. After using this stuff for less than a week his breath now smells like normal cat breath.
All 3 our cats are drinking water like normal. They were a bit apprehensive at first but have no issues with it. I got them used to the smell (I can’t smell it but they have stronger senses) by only adding half of recommended dose for the first couple of water cycles and then the full amount.

I ordered this not knowing if anything would truly work as my cat is 10 years old and had super stinky breath. To the point he would yawn and you could smell it if you were sitting next to him. I added this to his water fountain and in a week his breath is SIGNIFICANTLY less stinky. I can barely smell it at all.

I tried to brush my old lady cat’s teeth and she was having none of it. She did not like the flavor of the cat toothpaste that got rave reviews and especially does not like the toothbrush.
So I tried this, putting it in the water dish and later in the water fountain, and it has greatly improved her terrible cat breath and has somewhat improved the tartar build up.
Will purchase again when this bottle is empty.

This stuff seems to work ok, Cat still has bad breath but drinks it. I think it works a got as others. The foam action make me think it might help with teeth. Don’t know about the taste, as It’s for cats, so I did not rate that and think it’s silly to ask for a rating on that. I assume it’s like a mouthwash doesn’t replace brushing but better than nothing at all. Best thing for cats, as brushing is hard, so recommend this as a supplement. Cheaper than the other products out there and seems to do as much without a notable smell. My cat’s picky about water and won’t touch other water additives, every flavorless ones. Best thing is it does not destroy my cat’s fountain pump or filters. Arm&hammer have been around for a long time and makes litter, so they will be around for a while. Vet has recommended

After one of our cats had to have teeth removed we came across water additives. We started them off on about half the recommended dose and worked up to the full dose and they’ve not noticed a taste difference at all (or maybe they did and just didn’t care? Who knows). It gives me a lot more peace of mind knowing his remaining teeth will be more protected and our other cat hopefully will have a good preventative measure in place. I would recommend especially considering this bottle will last a long time since it’s so big and you only use a little each time.

It arrived early. However the bottle cap was broken. It was sealed inside so it didn’t leak. I have yet to try it for my cats. Will update the review.

I followed instructions, and two of my four cats ended up puking and having throat irritation and did not eat for the day. The two cats who didn’t get sick were my two kittens who were in separate rooms from my two older cats.
They hid, didn’t act like themselves, didn’t purr, my Nigel’s meow was barely a squeek, they didn’t come running when I opened the evening Sheba for dinner, and they smacked their mouths like they were thirsty (but they wouldn’t drink).
The water bowl with the supplement got tossed the next morning (as I give fresh water every morning), and I took my Tori to the vet as both Tori and Nigel stayed hidden in the basement all day. Vet sd her throat and face were irritated and swollen, but everything else was healthy.
Tori and Nigel are on antibiotics 2x per day, and a throat number 3xs per day. Tori even got a painkiller shot before she left the vet.
Please don’t use this.

My kitten had bright pink gum and the vet said gingivitis. I bought this and now she has absolutely no pink around her teeth they are back to normal. No sign of gingivitis anymore.

My cats drank this without any issues, just make sure to follow the directions carefully. The size is good, and it lasted quite a while. I waited until it was finished before writing my review since I know results can change over time.
I did notice an improvement my cats’ breath wasn’t bad anymore, which was a big plus.
Overall: Easy to use, lasts a good amount of time, and helped with my cats’ breath.

My vet noticed heavy plaque build-up and gum inflammation on my cat and recommended brushing his teeth. I did that without noticing much improvement. So, I got this water additive and also the Oxyfresh brand (I use both 50/50) and I’ve been using this for a few months now. His teeth are now completely plaque free, and I had stopped brushing. There is only very minor inflammation left. His breath has no bad smell. I use a 2.5L jug gravity feeder water bottle. It usually gets a bit scummy/slimy by the time it is empty and I need to bleach it…BUT, since I started using this product there is no slime even after 2 weeks in the bowl.

This review will be updated. This liquid do create a bit of froth/foam if you agitate the water or add fresh water into the bowl. But currently my cat is drinking less water because we are giving him mostly wet food due to the recent gingivitis situation. However he is doing fine otherwise. So once he starts drinking water properly i will be able to review this product.
Update 8th Feb 2026:
It’s been more than a month that I am using this product. Using half dose compared to fhe recommendation. Seems to work fine. The badbreath (gingivitis) in gone. The gums and tongue are 70% normal. Only a red border is there along his gums rest is pink. So I think this product is helping because currently I am not using anything else.. medication was done last 3 weeks back.

This helped tremendously with my kittens bad breath. Everytime he bathed himself i would be hit with a sour, stinky odor that I couldnt tolerate. A few cap fulls of this into the water fountain, and dental wipes once a day took care of the bad breath within a week.
