We tried every single recommended brand of eczema bath product, lotion, cream or balm for eczema babies we could find even tried my breastmilk. Organic, fragrance free, limited ingredients, indie brands, expensive brands vs cheaper big name brands. Nothing worked until we tried this specific aveeno product. My daughter had/has eczema from food and environmental allergies. When a trigger gets bad, her eczema progresses to weeping eczema so we were at some points distressed and very frustrated that so many products we tried did not work to relieve her terrible eczema. Even with dr prescribed steroids her eczema was uncontrolled and we didn’t want to continue using steroids that really showed no relief. He primary dr and allergist continued to recommend using the steroids for long periods of time knowing it wasn’t helping but I refused to put my baby at risk of side effects. Cutting out foods in her diet as well as mine when I was breastfeeding, nothing worked. In the very beginning of her eczema around 6 months old, we tried the highly rated aveeno eczema baby balm and it didn’t work, in fact it clogged her pores and made her skin worse so we moved on from aveeno. For some reason, this product did not show up as easily as the balm so it wasn’t until she turned 11 months that we discovered and ordered this lotion and found it was the only product that FINALLY controlled and got rid of her eczema. We were able to test wether this was actually making her skin better when we ran out and forgot to order another bottle. She went one week without this lotion and all her eczema nightmare skin was coming back. Once we received a new bottle in the mail and applied it, her skin showed improvement within hours. Every baby is different, duh, so I highly recommend trying every product you can until you have found the one for your baby. For us, this was the one! Wish I had come across it when she was 6 months old.

Aveeno manufactures many superb products. I’ve & houseguests used many over 25-years. This is a stand-out, SUPERB FOR ADULTS WHO.CANNOT TOLERATE CONTACT NOR INGESTION OF GLUTEN IN ANY FORM. While intended for babies, it (for me & friends) locks in moisture, is NEVER “Greasy nor Oily”. Btw,a similar balm, initially available in 1-2 oz small pots (Amazol stocks only large pots) was given years ago to an infantry officer in Afghanistan- required gloves badly chafed his hands – the skin bled, while infantry ops were required… I gave small pots (fragrance free required among infantry). He was allowed to use the potted Aveeno balm (a concentrate of this lotion) – a month later, the infantryman’s hands were healed according to his mother who was Cosmetic Advisor @ upscale Brick & Mortar Store. Daily use of this lotion after showering for civilians is Great; however, SAVING SKIN BENEATH GLOVES OF USA Infantry Soldier w/ small pot of balm is IMPRESSIVE &.I WAS HONORED TO OFFER THE UNOPENED POT OF AVEENO BALM.
Amazon- consider selling small pots of the balm. The large pot on Amazon is IMPRACTICAL FOR ALL BUT PARENTS OF TRIPLETS IN DIAPERS!

Really nice cream for babies. My baby has extremely sensitive skin (even tubby todd does not work for him) and the drool + dry winter is NOT doing him any favors. He had cracks all around his chin area. I slather this on after a bath when the skin is still damp and warm. Then I seal it with aquaphor. It’s hard to keep the lotion on him but I also apply when he is asleep in his bassinet. I appreciate the fact that this has little to no scent, isn’t sticky or tacky and doesn’t stain clothes. I think I would like if it were a little bit thicker (I think the tub might be thicker?) but overall it’s a great cream and aveeno is a good brand for sensitive baby skin!

This is the BEST lotion for baby! We’ve been using this since our toddler was a newborn for her face and body. Whenever her face is irritated from the cold or dry air or from her pacifier, this clears it up quickly. Creamy and absorbent, I sneak a bit of it for me, too!

This is the best eczema lotion I’ve tried. I’ve tried from other brands and I’ve tried aveeno’s gel version which I didn’t like at all. This baby one is thicker and my hands don’t dry out when I have this on. And there’s no inflamed irritation. This baby eczema lotion has even calmed my eczema better than other versions that have 2% colloidal oatmeal. As long as I have this skin issue, this will be my number 1 go-to for relief.
Side note, their other moisturizer cream that looks exactly like this but doesn’t say baby on it, works exactly the same. So if one is out of stock I just get the other. It’s for me though, not a baby. I don’t know if there’s a purity safety check for the baby version or something, but if it’s for a baby, stick with the baby version to play it safe.

Mi bebé tenía ezccema y noté cambios desde la primera aplicación, pareciera muy grasosa como la vaselina cuando la aplicas pero se absorbe y deja la piel normal. Para mejor aplicación recomiendo hacerlo con la piel no tan seca, ligeramente húmeda, después del baño y en cantidades pequeñas para evitar resecar demasiado.
