Ribbon on top to pull open so you don’t damage your nails and the applicator pulls on and off from the bottom so no worries about misplacing it. Color match was so solid and covered my grays with ease. I usually get a color refresh at the salon every 8 weeks and I was able to extend it to 10 weeks without concern thanks to this product! A couple people thought I already had my appointment beforehand because I didn’t have roots or grays. Highly recommend!

This touches it up perfectly along the lines and makes it look fuller. Also the colors are so good I use them as my eyebrow filler. I have full eyebrows, but again super blonde spots and if I don’t dye them I just use this. Since my hair color isn’t just one color I find the sample pack to work the best for me.
Docking 1 star as I see they changed the 4th color to black now which is a bummer and doesn’t really make sense for a brunette. If you have black hair you have black hair no questions about color matching.

We purchased the BOLDIFY Hairline Powder for my husband as his hair has been thinning significantly in certain areas. Before doing anything drastic, we decided to try a few concealing products—and this one is a total winner.
The price is perfect, and the product is not oily at all. My husband is on his feet all day doing physical work and sweating, and once this is applied, it does not move. It truly stays put and looks very natural.
The key is to style your hair first, exactly how you want it, and then use the press-twist-apply method to build coverage evenly. It does a great job blending and covering thinning or balding spots.
The only con is the circular applicator brush—if you’re not careful, it can leave visible circular marks. Good technique solves this, but I do wish it came with a moon-shaped brush instead for easier application.
Overall, we are extremely happy with this product and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, affordable solution for thinning hair or bald spots.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this product is AMAZING! I’ve always used a much more expensive brand that I buy at Ulta and so glad that I found this one! After a google search, this brand came up and I have never heard of it. The other brands have a small brush and it’s difficult to cover a large area of dark roots or grey with a little bitty brush. Not efficient at all. The other brands I’ve used come in a compact like eyeshadows and it would crack/crumble. Very wasteful! I have only used this once and I’m hooked! Alot goes a long way, it’s not messy and with the sponge like applicator it’s easy to cover a large area. Blends easily too. Bought the smaller size because I wasn’t sure if I would like it. Will be buying more and in a larger size.

Listen, I have used so many root/thinning spot cover ups and this is the best I have found. I am 57 and fight both root coverage and thinning hair! So much fun!!! This is so easy to use and the coverage is amazing. It looks natural and does not “bleed”. This is a good product…BUT…they are charging way too much for what you are getting.
I’ve used concealers for years. Toppik has been my faithful. Looks great but undeniably messy. So when I discovered Boldify’s product I was thrilled mainly with the application process. However, after about five uses the product in the center erodes leaving the perimeter which is nearly impossible to get onto the applicator, rendering it useless. You can use a q-tip or a tooth pick but that breaks it into clumps which is unusable. So the product is already small in amount. About a third is impossible to use. And they are charging double what other similar products are charging. In fact I just received from a different company on Amazon two for $8. Search and you’ll find it.
Greed is the only word that comes to mind. They are counting on you being so desperate to hide your thinning that you’ll pay anything. I reject this premise. Their container should be twice the size to justify the price and they need to get back into the lab and figure out how to make all of it usable. Until then I say pass.
I’m attaching pics of the product (notice the cup next to it). That is a typical bathroom rinse cup. You’ll see how much product gets left behind.
And you’ll see my hair. I’m enclosing it because it’s not as if I require a ton of product. I have most of my hair still but use a concealer to fill in the gaps. I apply it when my hair is mostly dry. I part my hair four different times and apply to the parted areas. If you have significant loss of hair you’d only use this twice before running into the problem I and I imagine every user does.

I have tried other touch up products in the past and they DID NOT WORK. BOLDIFY covered the gray and the thinning areas and actually remained in place all day. Easy to apply and looks completely natural. Washes out thoroughly. I was instructed by my hair stylist to go one shade darker than my actual hair color and was perfect color even with highlights. Highly recommend this product.

💁♀️ Product Review: Boldify Hairline & Scalp Powder (Light Brown, Sample Kit)
I’ve used a different scalp powder for years, but this is my first time trying Boldify. I’m covering pale scalp spots along my hairline and a couple of thin areas that show through my bangs. This product worked shockingly well.

✅ What I Like
– Perfect color match. I used the Light Brown shade from the darker‑blonde sample kit, and the match is unbelievably accurate—better than any product I’ve tried.
– Sample kits are fantastic. For about $10, you get four shades to test. This saved me from buying full‑size colors that wouldn’t match.
– Dense, opaque coverage. It fills in pale scalp areas instantly and hides thin spots in minutes.
– Cheapest price per ounce compared to the other products I’ve used (Joan Rivers Great Hair Day and Clairol Root Touch‑Up powder).
– Not itchy so far. My old Joan Rivers powder was noticeably itchy and messy. This one hasn’t caused any irritation yet.
– No mess around the shower drain after the first couple uses, unlike the Joan Rivers product.
– Works well with colored hair. My natural hair is dark blonde turning gray, but I color it with L’Oreal Light Amber Brown and use Clairol root touch‑up in light brown. This Boldify Light Brown blends perfectly with that routine.
– Applies smoothly and gives very natural‑looking results, especially under bangs where perfection isn’t required.

❌ What I Don’t Like
– The sample‑kit container doesn’t fit the applicator. The sponge applicator just sits loose on the side, which is annoying—but the sample kit is temporary, so not a big deal.
– Not sure I love the sponge applicator. It works, but I might switch to a brush (like the one that comes with Joan Rivers Great Hair Day).
– Still need to test long‑term wear. I’ll see how it holds up over several days, through sweating, and between washes.
– Some shades lean slightly auburn. My Light Brown has a hint of red, which works for me, but others may prefer a more neutral brown—there are plenty of options though.

This Boldify scalp powder is incredibly impressive—perfect color match, dense coverage, affordable, and easy to apply. The sample kits make choosing the right shade foolproof. Aside from minor applicator quirks, this is easily the best scalp powder I’ve tried so far.

This stuff is AMAZING!! I was almost ready to let my hair go grey. I was so sick of my roots showing the day after I got them done. I haven’t colored my roots since the middle of November, 2025. This is sooo much better than the other similar products I’ve tried, It lasts until you wash it out, it doesn’t get all over the place, and the colors are natural looking. I really like the sample pack so I can make my own shade. It even works great on eyebrows…mine are all white without it. The only con, and it’s totally worth it, is sometimes it colors my tub after I wash my hair but it cleans up easily.

I use this primarily to cover my gray roots in between salon visits. I ordered the medium brown and it went on well, stayed on all day, and washed out easily. It’s very easy to apply and doesn’t feel greasy or powdery. I really like this product. However, after a few months, I found the color just wasn’t right. I contacted customer service and they responded immediately and honored their color match guarantee. They sent me out the dark brown and this is a much better match for me! This stuff is great, really hides the grey. It blends my roots into my hair for a smooth transition. If you are between shades and debating, I would recommend going with the darker shade. But if you get the wrong shade, they will make it right! Great product, great customer service.

I love this powder. I use it for grey touch ups and it covers really well and lasts all day. I took off 1 star because I HATE the foam applicator. Its too small and cumbersome to use. It also fell off 3/4 of the way through the product and it was really difficult to use, I ended up just using a foam foundation applicator. Will buy again though.
