Great flavor and only takes a little. Most other brands use a ton of fillers. This one is pure seasoning. Much better value and has a great flavor. I use it on hamburger, chicken, pork, and even in my not-so-secret recipe salsa. 🙂 Everyone wants to know how I make my salsa. Truth is it’s the seasoning I add to it that makes it great. I used to use my own blend of herbs an spices, until I bought this. Now, I add a tablespoon of this to my finely diced tomatoes, chilis, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. I’m told I should bottle my salsa and sell it, but then again, I’ve been told that with 3 different salsa recipes. I just don’t like store bought salsa (except Tostito’s Restaurant Style) and I use it in or on everything. It’s so quick and easy to make, there is no need to spend $4-5 dollars for a jar when I can make 4 times as much for close to the same price. This is a great time saver. Salsa anyone?

I purchased this taco seasoning due to the reviews. The quality of the product was great. The spices were fragrant when I opened the safety seal. I followed the directions except added the step of draining my cooked ground beef as I don’t like greasy dripping tacos. There was no heat-ness to the mixture, this is probably fine for the Caucasian palette, but I like it hot, at least medium hot. I will continue to use this, but I will definitely add some hot peppers and cayenne, maybe some fresh hot peppers from the garden once they begin to mature. Oh, I would also use slightly less water than recommended. I don’t care for soupy taco meat, although, as leftovers, the meat was not wet at all.

This is very tasty. A fantastic blend of seasonings.

Very salty. Like seasoned salt salty. Nice blend of spices. Very good start for Mexican rice and far better than common store brands. But a little goes a long way because of the salt.

I would give it an medium or even medium low on the heat index, but I like things very, very hot. I boost it with New Mexico chili powder and a bit of cayenne.

I will say I grew up with a mother who thought salt was the enemy but I have long ago learned to love salt.

You can make your own taco seasoning or choose any other, but this taco seasoning is premixed and of good value. Making tacos multiple times throughout the years, I’ve been using this seasoning, and it’s just amazing. You can put a lot of it on meats and it won’t be too salty. This is also a no-carb seasoning, so you are free to stuff your tortillas (or bread?) with more tasty meat and toppings.

I love taco seasoning and have tried many brands. However some contain a lot of sugar. This is the one that has the fewest grams of sugar and carbohydrate – yes, I’m eating low carb. This makes the best taco meat – although it does not have very much heat. So if you prefer to have less heat in your taco meat then this is the one for you. I add my own hot sauce and it takes it all to another level. This is my go to taco seasoning mix because its so delicious and authentic.
