I love this tarot set. I ordered it to start working with different images (as above) but still have the familiarity of the RW (so below) to fall back on. Upon my first inspection I was so excited to find that the deck actually fits in my hand!!! This is huge for me since I wear a size 8 ring on my thumb, not to mention my 11 year old daughter’s hand is bigger than mine. The images are amazing and brilliant. The stock isn’t too thick or too thin, so they shuffle nicely. The cards did stick when I first went thru them, but nothing tore or ripped when I separated them. The book is also in color and easily understood. I would recommend this set to anyone who is just starting out – once they have become familiar with the WR deck, of course.

This is a gorgeous deck! The so below deck is full of imagery and relatable art providing easy interpretation especially for beginners. The as above deck requires a little more memorisation or knowledge of histories and practices. The companion book is detailed and descriptive. I typically like to keep my decks in a box or satchel for cleaning and easy transport but the nicely designed cardboard box makes me hesitant to separate the pair. The few readings I’ve given so far have been accurate, kind yet firm.

You know that feeling you got as a kid when you come downstairs during yule and you see likes of gifts waiting for you I’ve the tree and then you open the first one and it’s just what you wanted? Yeah. That just happened! I have been out of the game for a long time and felt it was time to spoil myself. I am SO glad I did this! The decks are gorgeous and the box they come in screams positive energy! I scanned through them and immediately my body felt the energy pour out of them. I felt an instant spiritual connection the moment I pulled the shrink-wrap of the package and cards. I cannot WAIT to charge these and use them! We all have our favorite decks and while my first deck will always be my favorite, these will definitely be a tie for first place!

This is a good kit overall. The first deck, “So Above” experiments with the traditional structure of tarot using pagan mythology and symbolism on it. It has a really nice artwork and its also useful to learn more about witchcraft and paganism (along with the guidebook). The second deck,”So Below”, has the same structure of a Rider-Waite deck, but its comprised of mundane and daily depiction of the life of a modern pagan. The artwork is beautiful as well, but is different from the one of the So Above deck. I’m not usually a fan of modern takes of the tarot, but I’m kinda ok with this one, since stills feel magical and have subtle symbolism as well. It has one too many cards with people in office settings for my taste, but I digress hehe.
I think is a beautiful deck full of experimental ideas. I like So Above a little more than So Below but I see myself using both, and if you have clients, the So Below deck is really friendly. The quality of the card stock is really nice as well, as usual with most Lo Scarabeo decks. However, I give it 4 stars because the quality of the box is not as nice. When I got mine the box although nice looking looks made with cheap materials and was unglued in some parts. Also, in the inside of the box there are two spaces to hold the cards, but its made of cardboard and don’t hold the decks in place safely, and I decided to get some bags in order to store the decks inside it.

Have wanted this set for awhile and was on my wish list. Amazon pricing was the best and for a few dollars more than other offers, I was able to get the complete set of both decks with a very informative book. Comes boxed in large, sturdy, well made box that holds everything and will work for storing them.. Cards are beautiful . The “Above” deck seems to vary enough from RWS in that it will take some time to study and to learn them. Book is informative so this should not be a problem. Would highly recommend this deck.

This set can be used individually or together which is a really great feature. The artwork is quite original and promotes intuitive reading while it also follows the traditional Rider-Waite closely enough for readers to recognize the similarities, especially in the “So Below” deck. Many of the cards have additional or slightly different meanings, particularly in the “As Above” deck. The book is easy to understand with full color illustrations of each card. My only complaint, and it’s not a big enough one to lose a star from me over, is that the cards aren’t in the book in order, making it difficult to navigate while first learning this deck.

I just got these and am beyond thrilled with them! The artwork is amazing and I am already feeling a sort of connection to them. The water cards are my favorite! I am excited to learn more from these as I am used to the traditional Rider Waite cards.
If you prefer the traditional cards, one of these decks has a more traditional feel to it with more modern pictures.
The book is wonderfully detailed so that those learning can better understand their cards.
Beautiful set overall, and an amazing addition for collectors and readers alike!
