This is great for exfoliating my skin! It is easy to use and the texture if just right for getting that dead layer of skin off. It is thick and durable, so it lasts a while.
Good quality. –
For my daily face washing. Good quality.

Scrub softly. I have yet to tell my dermatologist that I use this. I feel like if it’s used very lightly it exfoliates beautifully and allows moisturizer to work more effectively after use. Great price and I use it 3 times a week.

It’s a palm sized loofah style facial scrub. I’ve had a bit of a challenge finding one that I’ve liked because they tend to either be too abrasive, or not abrasive enough. I have very oily skin. The teardrop shape was great because I could wrap the small end around my index finger and get sensitive places like around my eyes really well. It was abrasive enough that I felt like it was exfoliating but I didn’t feel like I was scrubbing my skin off! I thought it was a good product and it worked exactly as I was hoping and it’s got a good balance of being exfoliating without being overly aggressive in terms of it’s abrasiveness. It’s also airy enough that it drives well after being rinsed enough to dry which is important to me so it doesn’t feel like it gets icky by not drying right. It’s a good product and I would recommend it.

I used this product for years . For some reason I got away from them but I’m back they clean and keep skin smooth as always. I like to use a facial cleanser with the Buff Puff for great results.

Good exfoliating sponge for the price, but it definitely doesn’t last 4-6 weeks. Maybe 3 at best. I wish it came in a smaller size, this is too big to use effectively on the face imo. I’ve been cutting them in half and that’s more effective. My skin is very soft when I use these for the first week or two, after that it’s less effective.

I’ve been using the Buf-Puf Gentle Facial Sponge for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how effective it is while still being gentle on my skin. As someone with sensitive skin, I was cautious about using any kind of exfoliating product, but this sponge strikes the perfect balance.
It provides just enough exfoliation to slough off dead skin and leave my face feeling smooth and refreshed without causing irritation or redness. I appreciate that it’s dermatologist-recommended—gives me peace of mind that it’s been tested for safety and effectiveness.
The sponge holds up well over time and is easy to rinse and reuse (though I replace mine every few weeks for hygiene). It’s also a great prep step before applying serums or moisturizers, as it helps them absorb better.
Pros:
Gentle enough for daily use
Improves skin texture
Affordable and long-lasting
Dermatologist-tested
Cons:
May be too mild for those seeking a deeper exfoliation
Needs regular replacement for hygiene
Overall, the Buf-Puf Gentle Facial Sponge is a simple yet effective tool that deserves a spot in any skincare routine—especially if you prefer a gentle, manual exfoliation method over harsh scrubs or chemical treatments.

I’ve been using this for over a month, so I can now write a good review on it.
I’m 50 years old and still have acne-prone skin. I get clogged pores, blackheads, and when I do get pimples several times each month, they’re the unreasonable, huge, red, never-go-away kind that keep festering and even scab over. I’ve found that I can use this to exfoliate my face when the pad is dry as well as using it with a good liquid cleanser when wet. I’m allergic to so many things, so being able to use it while dry is great! It roughs up the dead skin to be washed and moisturized away. It also sloughs off the invisible layer covering clogged pores so when I do it in the evening, even while in bed watching TV, when I get up in the morning, the crud in my pores has literally come to the surface, ready to be scrubbed away or lightly squeezed out if needed.
I also use it in the shower or at the sink to get my skin deep-down clean. If I’ve worn makeup that day (and I usually don’t), I remove it with a makeup removing towelette and/or a wet wash cloth with cleansing bar lather first. Then I use this pad with some Cetaphil spread across it to lightly scrub and wash my face and neck.
This is the first time in over 25 years that I’ve finally gotten my skin under control! I use one pad for about a month, and it’s good for 1x – 2x per day, along with lightly using it to do some random exfoliation every so often. My pores have shrunk, my breakouts are down by about 90%, and my face feels smooth. I don’t know if it helps with wrinkles yet, but some reviews say it does, so that would be an added bonus. After using the pad, I squeeze and shake it out and put it by the sink to dry. It’s light and porous, so it dries out quickly and completely, preventing mildew and bacteria from setting up housekeeping in there. If you’re worried about bacteria, though, you could probably flush it with some peroxide or rubbing alcohol, then rinse and dry, or perhaps dip it in just-boiled water to kill germs. I haven’t had that problem with this pad, though. I did recently buy another similar-colored, teardrop-shaped pad from Amazon and found that what I received seemed to be harsher than this one. I’m not sure if I’ll try it for my face or not, but if I do, I’ll be sure to update this with what happened.
Finally, I do have very sensitive skin. My skin got worse for a couple of weeks before it got better, but it definitely got much better. I think it got worse because of all of the impurities I was working out of my skin along with the abrasion, so I reduced how often I used it dry until my skin calmed down and that did the trick. This is the “gentle” version of the pad. I haven’t used a facial “regular” version, but I have used the body Buf Puf which is a regular version and I don’t think my skin could handle that. My sensitive, middle-aged skin needs this but it doesn’t need to be sanded off completely! I can’t see me going without this in the future. It’s a small price to pay for a month of nice-looking skin using basic cleanser.
I know this was long, and I’m not a big review writer, but if I can help someone who’s had as much trouble finding the right thing as I have, it’s been worth the time I took to write this.

I usually use Konjac sponges to wash my face with (I have for over a decade), but this was way too rough for me. I didn’t apply much pressure at all, just barely, because it felt like it was scratching my face. It made my T-Zone sensitive and sore for a few days after. It did make my skin soft and smooth, but it’s not worth it to me if my face hurts after.
I also agree with another reviewer that it’s just a tad too big.
I’ll stick with Konjac sponges.

Buff buffs are great! They remove dead skin and leave your face looking fresh. Nice thickness, great texture, not scratchy, and a good value for the money
