Don’t waste your time or money with this product. I should have known better based on other reviews but was hoping it was a fluke, but no. I went to open the product and found the doe foot applicator to be stuck in the tube, I tried very gently to ease it out of the unit, but the doe foot applicator snapped off and stayed inside the tube rendering the product to be useless. I tried fishing it out to no avail. Some product got on my hand when trying to fish it out and it felt incredibly sticky. I initiated a refund through Amazon, and believe it or not, they think it makes sense to waste time, gas, and resources to ship back a broken and useless product instead of allowing me to dispose of it and save everybody’s time and effort. Long story short, don’t bother with this product. I am quite a fan of Byoma’s other products, so this was quite a disappointment.

The applicator is just awful. The first tube I ordered, the tip broke off and was stuck inside the tube with no way to get it out. I sent it back, I’d been waiting for over a week for the replacement to be sent. I looked and it’s available, so no idea what the hold up was, so last night I cancelled the replacement and just ordered another one. I received it quickly, luckily this time I knew to try to take the applicator out slowly. The tip is a sponge that’s too thick to fit through the whole and it slipped out of the end of the wand again. Got some needle nose pliers and was able to pull it out. There’s nothing really securing the sponge tip to the end of the wand, just a male end inserted into the female end of the wand. It needs glue or they just need to re-engineer the packaging. 2/2 isn’t a fluke. I do like the lip mask product, though. It is a little more sticky than chapstick, but not as sticky as lipgloss and it makes my lips feel more moisturized for longer than chapstick does.

I LOVE this lip mask!! my lips are chronically dry (thanks POTS & spironolactone) and this mask is a game changer. it doesn’t feel sticky at all, and it’s so refreshing I use it throughout the day too! I’ve had no issues with the applicator getting stuck, in any of the 6 tubes I’ve bought. each tube lasts me about 2 months of use 3-4x daily! will always be a fan of byoma’s lip mask!

I love this lip mask but the last two I have bought have had defective packaging. The doe foot comes off in the tube and you can’t retrieve it or use the product. Disappointing as when the package has worked I find the product amazing and one tube lasts for ages.

It seems lots of people have trouble with the applicator getting stuck. I’m happy to report no issue with getting stuck. The doe foot applicator comes out the bottle perfectly. Because of the smaller opening it helps remove any excessive lip mask so you get the right amount each time. This mask is so thick but hydrating. While it is on the thicker side, I don’t get stuck together lips or those odd lip strings when I smack my lips together. I’ve been using it for about a week & my lips look so much softer. The littles lines on my lips are much less noticeable. I honestly don’t even mind wearing this in the AM or PM. During the day it just looks like I have gloss on. I talk for 8 hours at the day. By about midday most of it has worn away, along with the glossy look, but they still feel very hydrated, soft, and kissable looking. A little of this goes a long way. This was earned it’s spot on my countertop.

Nice product! Got four stars because there is not alot of it in the tube and you really don’t know when you are at the halfway mark due to how the item is packaged. The texture is thick, the application is fine, I like the curved brush, it is sticky but works well. The color is clear. It does work well though and has some value for the money. I wish they made it in a larger size.

This is the perfect overnight lip treatment! Way better pay off than any of the dip pot masks I’ve tried too! The applicator is sooooo nice and applies so evenly and smooth. It’s a decent product. I think it’s good value for the money considering it’s lightweight and moisturizing. It’s easy to apply with the large applicator however it doesn’t stay on all night it stayed on about as long as normal chapstick, so I wouldn’t consider it an overnight mask I’d say it’s more for everyday use.

I’m extremely picky about what I recommend — I ONLY endorse products I genuinely love and use consistently… and this is one of them.
BYOMA has already been one of my favorite skincare brands (right up there with The Ordinary for me), but this Liptide Lip Mask honestly surprised me.
Most lip masks either feel:
• too thick
• too sticky
• or like they just sit on your lips
This one is completely different.

i cannot give this more than a star because i wasn’t really able to even use the product.
the doe foot applicator is very large and not securely attached to the wand, so when pulled through the narrow neck, it immediately gets pulled off of the wand and is stuck in the tube. i tried using pliers to pull it out and push it back in the wand, but once you return the wand to the tube, the same thing happens the next time you open it, the same thing happens again.
while i had the applicator pulled out with pliers, i put some on my lips. it feels like a good product, but my frustration with having to mail back this faulty product that is now unusable trash eclipses any thoughts i have on the product.
how did this applicator pass QA? i see others have the same issue. unfortunately i ordered this because i trusted Byoma and love their products, so i didn’t peruse the reviews first – my bad.
Byoma – you GOTTA fix this applicator. it’s junk and it’s resulting in the generation of garbage – booo. very disappointed.
note: once you get your piece of trash in the mail, amazon will make you return it to get your $9 back, so the wastefulness of this experience is just huge lol. listen to the reviews and don’t waste your time and money!

Personally, I would NOT recommend this product. Not only are you gypped out of product, but the applicator is too big for the clear part on the inside and the applicator part breaks off. I literally just bought this item and it arrived about 10 minutes ago. There’s barely any product in the bottle, you can literally feel all of it at the bottom. It’s about 1/3 of the way full. Use a flashlight on it and I guarantee you, you’ll be just as upset as me. I had to use tweezers to get the applicator out.
The product itself is super sticky and it doesn’t wash off easily with water so forget about using a paper towel to wipe it off. I understand this product is meant for night and that’s what I’ll use it for which negates the sticky issue but honestly, an elf lip oil does the SAME job and is significantly cheaper. Will NEVER buy this again smh.

The product itself is great. It has helped repair my extremely dry lips when nothing else would. However, something with the packaging and/or applicator needs to be changed. When you pull the stick out of the tube, the applicator pad will come off the stick and be stuck inside the tube. I have found that if you pull it out very slowly that it will stay attached. Something needs to be changed so that doesn’t happen.

This was my second time getting this . First one I got went to open it and the applicator broke inside so you couldn’t even use it so I messaged them and they said just keep it and we’ll send you a new one. The new one came in probably 2 to 3 days so that was great. Got the new one same thing happened. The applicator broke again so I got it where the applicator didn’t fall inside and I super glued it the best I could so far it’s working but not sure how long that’s gonna last.

I started using some of the Byoma skin care products and have enjoyed them for the most part. I needed a night time lip mask and decided to give this a try. I really like how it’s not too sticky and mostly stays on my lips for the night. However, although my lips weren’t dry in the morning, I just needed a lot more moisture out of my lip products. I used the Philosophy lip glosses for years and they were sticky but not in a bad way for me. They’re moisture payoff was second to none. Sadly, they don’t make them anymore. So I ended up with the EOS brand and it’s wonderful.
EDIT: I’ve been using this nightly and I have to say that I’m really enjoying it. I’m not missing the slip of my old gloss and it actually stays on almost all night. I’ve changed my stars to 5. I can definitely admit that I judged this one too quickly.
