Some may wonder why coffee would be a “Scandinavian Blend”, since there’s no coffee grown anywhere near the frigid northern reaches of Europe. The real reason is that Scandinavians are the highest consumers of coffee in the world per capita, so they know what they like. This whole bean coffee is a dark roast with a pleasant aroma, and unlike many dark roasts, the beans are not really oily meaning they won’t gum up your grinder. I ran my first batch through my Breville BDC600 drip coffee maker, and it made a flavorful cup without any bitterness (I use paper filters). I dialed the strength down to the lowest and it was perfect. YMMV of course depending on your preparation method and grind size.

I have been consistently impressed with the quality of Cameron’s Coffee Roasted Whole Bean Coffee, Breakfast Blend, 32 Ounce. This light roast is exactly what I look for in a morning blend: bright, crisp, and incredibly smooth with absolutely no bitterness. The fact that they use specialty-grade Arabica beans really comes through in the taste and aroma when you grind them fresh. It creates a satisfying and clean cup that starts the day off perfectly.
The 32-ounce whole bean bag is a great bulk size for consistent coffee drinkers, and the beans always appear fresh and well-roasted when the bag is opened. It truly stands up against more expensive brands in terms of flavor and quality.
My only hesitation is that, depending on sales and local retailers, you can sometimes find this same 32 oz bag a bit cheaper elsewhere (like at big box stores or grocery chains). While the convenience of ordering it here on Amazon is unbeatable, it’s worth checking your local store flyers if you want to save a few dollars.
That minor pricing note aside, this is genuinely fantastic coffee that I will continue to buy. If you prioritize smooth, high-quality, whole-bean coffee that isn’t over-roasted, this is a clear winner.

As stated, not much of a light roast. This comes in more at a medium. The amount you get for the price is a good value. Understand that if you are a coffee snob expecting this to hold up so some single origin Peru or Ethiopian, you are dreaming. For a daily drinker and a preference of quantity/value over fine quality, this will do.
I liked this better than the larger bags of Amazon’s and Lavazza’s light roast available here on Amazon. This I would order again, where as the other two I would not. Take that but of knowledge from a coffee snob how you will.

This is a beautiful coffee not bitter in taste, I don’t like strong coffee and this suited me perfectly.

I haven’t been a coffee drinker for very long, but this is my favorite variety so far. Since I read that coffee beans are one of the most pesticide-laden consumables you can buy, I’ve been opting for organic. I don’t use any sweeteners, but usually add a good amount of whole milk. As a child I loved coffee ice cream, Haagen Daz in particular, but hardly ever have it now. This sort of reminds me of it. The flavor comes through even with the milk, without being bitter.
I don’t like Starbuck’s French Roast (too bitter) and haven’t liked any other dark roasts I’ve tried, so I didn’t expect to like this that much. I think my tastes have been changing to prefer a more roast-driven flavor, so maybe I’d like the dark roasts I’ve tried better if I tried them again. Since I’ve had the Cameron’s Organic French, I’ve not enjoyed the medium-roast coffees as much and had to make them stronger and use less milk to get more of the flavor I’m looking for. I tried Cameron’s when the price dropped and am hoping it will drop significantly again.
In the meantime, I’m expecting some varieties of Café Altura in my next subscribe-and-save shipment. There’s a coupon available on them now. I’ve been using other people’s reviews to try to determine how the qualities I prefer are described in coffee lingo, and what other varieties I might like (thanks!). To my surprise, this is said to have a somewhat bittersweet profile. I’m guessing the milk cuts down on the bitterness significantly, and though I don’t find this acidic, I think that some acidity, bitterness and deeply roasted flavor are necessary to make the overall flavor really pop with milk. I love all milk products, the higher the fat content, the better, and I can’t imagine I’ll ever want to drink black coffee. I’m not just drinking this for the caffeine; it’s a treat.
Edit 8/15/14: I like this much more than Café Altura’s Organic Sumatran Dark Roast, which in comparison, although it’s bold, seems to have a thinner, more watery body and has a distinct flavor in it that I don’t like. I’m not sure what that flavor is, but it lingers. Maybe it’s too much of an earthy, wood-type (cedar?), herbal or citrus note. I had a cup of black Cameron’s Organic French leftover for a few days in my frig that tasted much better, both cold and heated (both times with milk added). Another plus for Cameron’s French is that it’s definitely easier on my stomach, probably due to less acidity. Even with extra milk, I sometimes get heartburn from the Café Altura Sumatran.
Edit 6/20/17: We have tried maybe 10 other organic dark-roast coffees, but are always much happier when we go back to Cameron’s Organic French Roast. Though the beans sometimes appear oilier than other times, the flavor is consistently bold and great.

First, why do the delivery people feel the need to shove this in my mailbox? Twice now the outer bags have ripped and once my coffee bag ripped. I’m rural with a long drive, but come on people! Get your steps in! 1 star for delivery.
With that out of the way, I love these beans. I have purchased several times and they are fresh. Good aroma. Not broken little pieces.
I have a sensitive stomach and these do not aggravate it.
I won’t bore you with details on how I brew. To each their own. Just a nice good cup of coffee !

FINALLY! Amazing quality coffee that’s not over roasted! Exactly what I was looking for: a light roast but with enough robustness and taste. I absolutely love this coffee and hope it’s consistent since I am definitely subscribing. I make it with a French press and it’s delicious, will try with my espresso maker as well and report back, but I should say: tons of crema come up when I do the first pour to ‘wet the grounds’, which tells me: amazing quality beans.

This was pretty tasty coffee. I’m not always a flavored coffee person, but this was pretty yummy for a pecan flavor without being crazy overpowering like some brands can be.
It was a nice medium roast, not too dark or oily.
Smooth, and super fresh. Tasted and smelled great.

This is a light roast coffee, with a good, strong coffee taste. I like strong flavored coffee and I found a happy medium with scoops, I use 6 1/2 teaspoons and am pleased with the taste and strength. The beans were fresh and ground easily, the bag has clasps on both sides to seal the bag after folding the opening. 32oz of beans is a good size bag to ensure there will always be coffee in the house.

First time for this flavor and company. Great product. Fresh date for expiration. Great smell out the bag. Great taste. I think I’m gonna like this product moving forward.

had high hopes for this one, it was a massive let down.
Beans say medium roast, its actually very dark and it feels like they’ve tried to compensate by drowning it in artifical smells/flavours. Terrible.
