Great water bottle and color is beautiful. Keeps water cold and easy to clean. My only problem is with the height. I find it to be too tall and I am often knocking it over. I wish it came with a rubber bottom, this might help with its stability.

I love this bottle! The first one I received was broken and leaking, but Amazon quickly sent me a replacement bottle and I’m very happy with it, I’m really not disappointed with my purchase 🙂 It’s an excellent bottle of water, it doesn’t leak at all, the autoseal button is great and the bottle keeps cold for a very long time. I’ll take her everywhere with me, I love the color, the carrying hook, she’s awesome, I recommend 100%

These are my favorite water bottle!! Living in a warm climate, you drink a lot of water. The Contigo doesn’t leak, is easy to clean and drink out of, has a locking system, you do not have to flip open a lid when you want to drink (which is great during cardio workouts) and it has a lid if you want to cover the area you drink out of….great design.
It also can take beating and not break! Worth every penny!

My favorite water bottles! I have bought this set of two Contigo Autoseal water bottles every time I see them go on sale. I only have to replace lost bottles, because they withstand a lot of abuse! I hate washing straws, and like to chug water, so these are perfect. These insulate very well. If you fill it with ice and water in the morning, it will keep the ice frozen with multiple refills of water throughout the day. I live in the desert Southwest, and always have my water bottle with me. The water bottles have been dropped repeatedly on concrete and blacktop, but still work perfectly after years of abuse from myself and my kids. The handles are in perfect condition, the lid on the mouth piece is intact, the top still screws on securely and our water still stays cold all day, even in triple digit temperatures. We can leave the bottle in the car, in direct sunlight, and the water inside stays cold; just be careful to not burn yourself holding the metal exterior that gets super hot! This isn’t a concern across most of the US, but in the desert we know the drill, and appreciate having that cold water when we need it. My other favorite quality of these water bottles is that they are dishwasher safe. The entire thing goes into the dishwasher to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected for continuous daily use. To get the lid completely cleaned, just push open the part inside the lid that closes the spout, and put back the cover that protects the part you put your mouth on. Put the lid face down in the top rack of the dishwasher, and you will never have to scrub the water bottle or lid to keep it clean. The lid also has a locking switch to prevent spills and leaks in backpacks or purses. The lock makes sure the autoseal button cannot be pressed at all. This is The Best waterbottle for kids, in my opinion. They are durable to survive daily abuse, and still work flawlessly. Now, if the kids could just keep track of them…

I’ve had three of these over the years and they are easy to clean, durable, and convenient to use. Ice lasts for many hours to keep water super cold.

They don’t fit in any cup-holder I’ve come across, and the paint tends to chip. I don’t treat them delicately so I’ll accept a chipped and dented exterior as my fault. I wish they had more colors available in the 32 oz size, but the Autoseal lid is interchangeable with any similarly styled Contigo cup

I really like these bottles. So much so I wanted several to rotate them through the dishwasher (or at least the lids). I started with two of the stainless body, licorice (black/gray) lids. They’re great, and similarly to the Contigo hot/cold mug I have, the mechanism flips open so it can more easily and thoroughly be cleaned (by hand or just better flow in the dishwasher). I’d seen some reviews and pictures showing a different style and complaining about mold. That style had a fixed mechanism and unlike the style that flips open, while in the dishwasher it will stay tightly closed. The flip open mechanism basically means it’s in the “open” position and water can flow through it while it’s being washed.

I ordered a few more — one of the two packs was on a great price. I assumed this non-flip style from some reviews was just the older style and the flip one is the new one, but the new light blue “iced aqua” ones I got were the old style. They have the old models mixed in with the new. Looking more closely now at the pictures on Amazon, it does accurately show that it’s the older style if you know what to look for.

In addition to what seems to me to be a clearly inferior and more mold prone mechanism, the old style doesn’t have a button lock. You can see in the pictures that some of them don’t. The lid that you can flip over the spout to keep dirt away from it also is a bit smaller.

As of this writing, blue corn, dragon fruit, juniper, licorice, pink lemonade, and spirulina are listed and have the new style lid. These colors are also shown on Contigo’s website as colors offered, whereas the other colors listed here on Amazon are not shown on their current product list for “Cortland Chill 2.0.” There is also a Merlot and Lavender color for the new version on Contigo’s site that I don’t yet see on Amazon. Stick with those and avoid the older style.

Beyond that, the new style is great. I used to use plastic water cups throughout the day, but my cats would get into it and I’d have to switch to a new one. Or they’d tip it over. With this, I can flip the little dirt cover lid over the spout to keep them from licking it, and while they can still tip it over and it’ll make quite a thunk, it seems to seal solid and not leak. Of course it keeps things far colder than a plastic cup too, which is awesome. 24 oz holds a nice amount of water. I’d used my 20 oz Contigo hot/cold mug for water sometimes and it seemed like with ice in it, there wasn’t much left for water and I’d have to refill pretty often. The lip is wide enough that I can get ice into it from my through-the-door ice maker. I have quite a few stainless water bottles I got as freebies from conferences with a lid so narrow I have to manually put cubes in one at a time, and even then some cubes are too big. I switched to these to replace those styles, and it’s well worth the money just to not need to deal with that annoyance. With my LG through-the-door water, I do have to hold the bottle out a little bit and press the paddle trigger myself — it’s not quite wide enough to align with the water spout if I press the trigger with the bottle. But that’s not really hard to do, even one handed, by just sticking one of your fingers out a bit. So far I’m sticking with the plain stainless body, as they say it can go through the dishwasher. I haven’t tried that yet, but it’s also very easy to wash by hand with a bottle brush. I may just stick with that, but the unpainted stainless probably will hold up better anyway. I do put the lid through the dishwasher, flipped open, as I think that will clean it better than I could manually. All varieties have dishwasher safe lids. The painted bodies are not recommended to go through the dishwasher, but their lids still can.

Ice cold water for hours and the lock and trigger to sip option is pleasant. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a solid water bottle. The size is good too! You can fit a full normal sized gatorade into the bottle. I also love the colour!

I’ve bought these bottles several times. They really keep drinks cold and they’re easy to clean. They also don’t spill as they have a nice locking mechanism to prevent accidentally spilling contents.

Keeps cold, doesn’t leak, locks for more leak security, push button to open drink spout is ergonomically placed and simple to push to drink, holds a great amount of water, narrow top makes it easy to hold despite being heavier when full. Also easy to clean in dishwasher or by hand and seal stays in place when cleaned. I have 2. They’re both perfect. Absolutely the best!!!

I’m a big fan of the Contigo Autoseal insulated water bottles, I have had many versions of them over the years and I think this last version is the best yet! I use my water bottle every single day and keep it on my nightstand at night too, so this thing is basically with me all the time, getting refilled numerous times throughout each day. I love that it holds 32oz and keeps it well insulated throughout the day.

The trigger mechanism is my favorite for using water bottles because I’m not a fan of using straws to drink water. I prefer to tip this bad boy upside down, squeeze that trigger, and let gravity do the rest! This is the biggest reason why I prefer the Contigo Autoseal bottles; there’s something satisfying about simply picking up the water bottle and instantly being able to drink without flipping up straws or latches and then having to flip or close them after I’m done drinking.

I’ve had my previous version of the Contigo Autoseal for years and it is still working fine but the bottle has seen some wear & tear so I decided to upgrade it. Here are some of the improvements that are very welcomed compared to the previous version of the Autoseal bottle:

    1. The Autoseal mechanism in the lid can now be flipped out to be cleaned…this is a game changer! The old version didn’t allow this and was extremely difficult to try and clean the internal components in the lid.

    2. The trigger lock is a great addition and works well especially if the bottle is in a backpack so I don’t have to worry about the trigger accidentally being pressed and water leaking out.

    3. The carry handle is improved in a few ways. It now has a metal pin going through it then through the actual mounts on the lid, as well as the mouthpiece cover so it is all securely connected. The old version basically just clipped around 2 plastic pins of the lid with nothing securing either side which lead to me accidentally detaching the handle a few times when I picked up the bottle at a weird angle by the handle. The new handle also has a little lip on the back edge, making it easier to flip up out of the locked position.

    4. The new bottle seems to keep my water colder for longer so there may have been an improvement to the insulation materials used in the bottle itself compared to the old version.

My only complaint about any of the Contigo 32oz bottles is just the fact that they don’t fit in most standard cupholders (the 24oz versions fit fine but I like having more water in my bottle), I’m used to this and have cupholder extensions in my cars for this very reason. The tradeoff is by having a wider bottom of the bottle, it is less prone to tipping over compared to the bottles that are more top-heavy in their design.

Overall, I’m really happy with the updates to this new version of the Contigo Autoseal, especially with the ability to more easily clean the spout mechanism. I also appreciate the locking trigger as well as the updated handle design. Contigo did an excellent job updating my favorite water bottle to make it even better. This bottle will hopefully serve me well for years to come!

I like this model Contigo H2O bottle a lot. It has a flip open cover which keeps the drinking orifice contact surface clean. Easy to operate, valve locking slide button prevents accidental spills which could occur with older models. It has a large push button that opens a valve for one handed drinking and provides a leakproof seal. internal parts of cap and wide mouth double stainless thermal bottle are easy to clean and the double wall stainless bottle keeps contents cold all day on the trail.
New metal handle hinge pivot point is an improvement over plastic molded ones on older models, which eventually wore out causing the handles to fall off.
The things I like the most about this model are that it doesn’t have the drinking straw with a noisy vent, as does the Ashland and maybe other models, or the silicone mouthpiece, you have to put between your lips and suck on. While the straw and silicone mouthpiece models allow you to suck water without tilting the bottle up, I dislike having to suck my water, hold the silicone mouthpiece between my lips and hate the loud, very annoying seagull noise the vent makes when you drink from the straw type models. I have no problem tilting the bottle up to drink from, like I would do with any other bottle and the straw makes it impossible to get a small amount of water at the bottom of the bottles, without unscrewing and removing the cap. The noisy vents also make those models unusable in a library, theater or other quiet place where there are other people, without unscrewing the cap and drinking directly from the stainless steel container.
The only downside of all Contigo metal water bottles is that the stainless steel is fairly thin. This reduces weight which is important, but it also results in the bottom of the products being easily dented, usually on the first drop. This for me is a reasonable tradeoff, but I do have a few older model bottles that are a bit wobbly now and show their battle scars fairly prominently.

A great water bottle. It has a lock to minimize spill so doesn’t spill much, hardly at all, Keeps liquids cold and warm for longer. I prefer drinking warm water so I find it keeps it warm for a good while. It has a comfortable grip given its slim build. Very strong. I’ve dropped it a couple of times on the ground and only chipped a bit but didn’t dent. Great value for money. Upon purchase, it had no smell but if you don’t wash it properly, there is a slight aftertaste in the water. I recommend soaking overnight in soapy warm water with vinegar before use.
