I love these cymbals. I play in a cover band that is on stage every Friday and Saturday night along with some Thursdays and Sundays here and there. We use an E-kit paired with these cymbals for small venues when lower volume is a must. We mic the cymbals because they are surprisingly quiet but mic’d they have a nice airy bright sound to them. Very easy to control in the mix and they sound and feel more real than the cymbals that come with the e-kit. If these break I will definitely pick up another set!

In the vid I am using Eb1 low-volume heads. I am stating this because the cymbals sound of similar volume to the heads.
These look slick. They go well with chrome hardware. The ride and crashes have pleasant light and airy sound. The hats sound thin and trashy but I think it is hard to replicate a heavy bronze bottom sound with a steel alloy. These are not quiet enough for an apartment or housemates. The Zildjians are whisper quiet and could work for that but not these. This isn’t a bad thing. It depends on your needs. I personally feel the Zildjians are too quiet for a multi-instrument rehearsal or small venue. These however would be great for a rehearsal or small gig. I would guess the ride and crashes are 30-35% quieter than standard cymbals.

They work. They don’t sound super realistic, a bit tinny. But that’s probably expected. You can’t use this for a quiet jazz gig or anything, just for practice.

Noise savers is what these should be called. Excellent quality and my church uses them weekly and they have lasted well over a year.

These cymbals are a great value. They’re about half as loud as my normal cymbals, but they’re not as quiet as the much more expensive name-brand options. In fact, I was measuring peaks of almost 100 decibels with the hi-hats out of the box. Almost all of that sound seemed to be coming from the shrill, ringing high end they have, and putting tea towels on top of the cymbals dampened that and allowed me to reduce the volume to a measured ~80 decibels with a much more pleasant tone that dissipates quickly outside the room I’m playing them in.
With this set up (these cymbals plus some dampening from towels), the sound is balanced well with my Evans db one low volume heads. They feel great to play, with less of that annoying clicking stick attack than more expensive coated low volume cymbals. They do chew up my sticks pretty badly, though, I assume from some rough edges.
My practice kit is set up right in front of a big bay window, and my drums cannot be heard outside my house at all unless I really lay into them. I do not think this would be quiet enough for most apartments, but for someone trying to practice in a house without bothering their neighbors, it’s perfect.

very average compared to actual brands. sharp edges take chunks out of sticks

I like the way they look the way they sound and the fact that you can use them at small gigs without overpowering people. it’s just what I needed.

these cymbals sound great, and what a great price for a full set! honestly I know they are technically low volume but they are plenty loud for live performance. if anything they make the sound guy’s job easier because they don’t invade other instruments territory as much. only downside is that playing with brushes or with “hot sticks” style bundles, the thin wires/sticks get caught in the holes sometimes. i might eventually figure out a technique that avoids that problem but my normal technique had me annoyed by lil hiccups from things getting caught in them. so i just use standard sticks with these.
