Our dear 13 year old pug enjoys this dogfood along with other soft wet food we mix with it. Helps her thrive her senior years for the last 4yrs we started Dr Marty’s.
Dr Marty website takes a while to deliver so I tried ordering here even if it’s more expensive. It was delivered within 2hrs of placing my order, so that’s probably worth a try, and i was able to serve it to our pug within the day.

My dog loves this. It is a dehydrated raw dog food, but has the appearance and convenience of kibble. It has very healthy ingredients but does need to be introduced gradually for dogs not currently on a raw diet.

My very picky older spoiled 12lb dog seems to only like rotisserie chicken and ribeye steaks. BUT he likes this dog food! Since I know it’s good for him I will continue to purchase it. I do one squirt of water on the sprinkle setting of my kitchen faucet, mix and stir around and my old guy loves it! It doesn’t make him cough or upset his stomach at all like others have claimed that it does.

Our Min Pin has had bouts of intestinal distress of late. We were using a dry dog food from Costco. We decided to give our dog Human fresh food ( Meats ) and Dr Marty’s freeze dried dog food. Our Min Pin Loves the dry food as opposed to wetting it. We make sure he has lots of water near by when he eats the dry food. Also, instead of dog biscuits treats, we give him the Dr. marty’s nuggets instead. Much more health. Over the last 3 months of Dr Marty’s food, our dog is much more active and happy. we recommend this product… if you can afford the additional cost over mass produced dog foods.

We introduced it to our 8 yr old chihuahua that eats raw, exclusively. We thought she might be a bit resistant to it because of the texture so e introduced it as a treat, first.
Need not have worried. She accepted it readily. The other good thing, no stomach upset. She is drinking more because we feed it to her dry but it’s absorbed by the dry food, so not an issue.
Now, this is a premium food so the price reflects that but you could go back to the stuff that’s 3/4 filler and all the problems that accompany it or give ’em the good stuff, save money on vet bills and have a pet that’s happy and will likely live longer.

I bought this in a pinch just based on the TV commercials, normally I would fully vet something like this before pulling the trigger. As you would suspect this was a huge mistake, especially for a price tag of Fifty bucks final price. Since buying this I learned one of my friends tried it with their dog and the dog wouldn’t touch it. Tried to return it but there is no returns on Amazon for this product, due to being a perishable. I was able to return it though claiming it to being defective, and it is. Got a refund and Amazon told me to keep the dog food, use it if I wanted too.
Adding water and mixing it up, which wasn’t something I signed up for as the food is freeze dried, I decided to give it a go, against my better judgement, second mistake. Mixed it up per instructions, boy does this crap stink, it made me gag. Gave it to the pup and she eat it reluctantly. After eating it she rubbed head all over stuff for about 5 minutes but was fine after that. Fed her this crap for 3 days and then she reacted to it with a bad bought of the runs. Now I don’t have to feel bad about throwing this crap out, especially after cleaning up the mess.
Good food shouldn’t stink as bad as this, if it is made from good ingredients, nor should my dog suffer from allergic reactions like she did, my dog can eat just about anything truly. Dr. Farty is scamming everyone, which I should have known, I did suspect it however. Not making a 3rd mistake, which would be shame on me, this crap is hitting the trash asap. Hope the trash doesn’t hold it against me but it has to go.

My dogs absolutely love this dog food. It’s a bit pricey for the size of the bag. I have 3 small dogs and give them a cup full each. One bag feeds maybe 3 to 4 meals split between the 3 of them. It doesn’t make them gassy. The smell in the bag is decent and ok when you add hot water. I add enough hot water from the electric kettle to cover the dried morsels then mix it several times. Lickety split…. it’s gone, then they are out like a light. Makes feeding time easy and mess free. There’s no dust to deal with. I just wish the bags were bigger and not as expensive.

It’s really good food, but it’s very expensive because it’s US. It wouldn’t be as expensive if it was strictly in Canadian dollars. It’s a food that you can trust though and it’s not cooked to the point of no nutrition. He’s also a very well-known and respected veterinarian in the US.
If you cannot really afford it, what I do is I mix with lean ground turkey or beef. What most people don’t realize is many dogs and some cats are allergic to chicken.

Since I still have some of my old dog food, I give my dogs that in the morning and Dr. Marty’s later in the day. The difference is amazing—they barely react to the old food, but they run when it’s time for Dr. Marty’s! This may sound like an advertisement, but it’s honestly just shocking how much they love this food. I’ve never seen them this excited for mealtime. I use them for treats too.

My cats love this stuff wet or dry. The little porkers trimmed down on it, and have maintained a good weight since getting them on this food.
They even like it as a snack or treat!
It is expensive, especially since my feline family has expanded from 1 to 3. But so worth it – heathier livelier cats, less stinky litter boxes, fewer hairballs.
