What wonderful salts. I had been using Tired Old Ass Soak / Bath Salts / 12 oz. for the past year to help soothe aches and pains from regular workouts, and though they are also quality salts, a 12 oz. jar is nearly $23, which just got too expensive (I actually started cutting them with plain Epsom salts to make them go farther, but even that was pricey).
I was looking for an alternative other than plain Epsom salts when I came across Dr. Teal’s here on Amazon. What a find: the price is right at $5.99 for 48 oz., and the salts themselves are wonderfully soothing — the infusion of oils definitely helps take the edge off of muscle kinks, and the minty scent is invigorating. Definitely a great buy!

I bought the Ginger & Clay detoxify & energize because it was the cheapest. I am using it for post workout soaks to help with sore muscles and I enjoy the strong scent (helps me with the feeling energized bit). I purchased another bag of the pre/post workout because it’s the same price now, hoping I will enjoy it just as much. The smell from this one does definitely linger on you, which I personally enjoy but others may really dislike. I have found that if I soak in the tub and then hop in the shower for a quick body wash and rinse it gets rid of most of the scent, for those of you who don’t want it to linger.

I purchased this salt in hopes of relieving sore muscles due to my profession as a massage therapist. The bag arrived quickly via Prime two day shipping, however the bag was open in the box upon arrival. There was not enough damage or product lost to require a return or exchange. After inspection, I noticed that the salt had gotten into the track of the zipper closure. After several attempts to clear the track, I ended up pouring the entire bag into a Rubbermaid container.
The salts themselves smell wondrous. I usually prefer my lavender scented salts but this variety is a nice occasional switch up. They dissolve well when added to the tub water and my skin feels smooth afterward. Unlike some other salts I have previously used, this product does not leave my skin feeling oily or like I have a thin layer of wax covering me. Recommend this product if you are looking for a relaxing and clean experience.

I love this product! The smell is so natural, yet very invigorating and addictive! I could never get tired of it! I regularly use all of Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts and this one is my favorite, with the new Avocado Oil bath salt coming in 2nd place (you need to try that one too if you haven’t already!)
Its not just the scent that has me in love with their products. They are, in my opinion, therapeutic as well. All of their Epsom salts are great for relief from sore, achey muscles, but this one does have the added “detox” benefit! By that I mean that it seems to help get things moving along in your digestive tract, in a very comfortable and natural way.
It definitely makes a difference how you use it and how much of it you use though. I’ve been using their products for a few years now and have tried a lot of different combinations of ingredients, with varying amounts of salt and sometimes adding my own essential oils as well.
I’ve found I get the best result when I use about half the bag with an additional 2 cups of the plain (unscented) Epson Salt, adding just enough hot water in the tub to cover my body when lying down. But I have a fairly large soaking tub! Also it makes a huge difference how long you soak in it! For me 40 minutes does the trick. Any less time and the benefits aren’t as noticeable.

I have used Dr. Teals salts for a long time. I use it in every bath I take as I am an addict. This scent is new to me, but once again another winner. The smell is great (I do always add some bubble bath as I like bubbles and this product does not give you that – so I do have additional scents based on my mood) and so relaxing.
I think my favorite Dr. Teals is still the Eucalyptus, but this is a keeper that I will use until gone. Very relaxing. I like to read while soaking in the tub, and this product is a wonderful way to enjoy a night long bath. I have not seen this scent in the store, but I would buy again. A great addition to my bath scents.
**Update** – I like this scent more and more each time I use it. If you like to soak in the tub and like a relaxing scent – buy this product. Love it.

Love, Love, Love this Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt solution. I love Dr. Teal’s and normally use the Eucalyptus scented one. I bought this one for my husband who is a runner that has been training for a marathon. He has been having a lot of muscle aches and pains from all the running and we were looking for something to help give him relief. This stuff is AMAZING!! He loved it right away and said it helped, and I can smell it when the bath is starting up. I decided to give it a try myself and I just love it. For myself I will often do a mixture of this and the Eucalyptus. I find it heals sore muscles and is still really calming.
