My wife works nights and it’s difficult for her to sleep due to outside noises. We bought this Dreamegg white noise machine because we have an older version of theirs and love it, so we wanted to add a second to the other side of the bedroom for maximum coverage. She’s tried actual fans, which just make her cold, and other white noise fans that take a lot more power and aren’t loud enough. She’s tried another brand of white noise machine that was louder, but as the volume went up, the sound quality went down. The Dreamegg doesn’t have that problem. It gets EXTREMELY loud. It is loud enough to drown out barking dogs, traffic, everything but gunshots I suspect. The volume is variable, so it can also be quiet if that’s more your preference. See my video for volume range on my preferred white noise sound. There are buttons on the top for power, volume, night light, and the different sound categories. Pressing the sound category again goes through the various sounds available. There are different kinds of fans to choose from and different white noises. There are also babbling brooks, lullaby, forest, and others, but the white noise is my and my wife’s favorite. The machine has a timer that you can set so it will turn off after a set number of minutes, or you can set it to stay on until you turn it off. The unit remembers your settings so you don’t have to reset the timer, volume, sound effect, and nightlight settings every time you turn it on.
Speaking of the nightlight, it is the only flaw I found in this product. The nightlight has three settings: off, on, and pulsating. The pulse goes from bright to dim, so the device is capable of dimming, but when the nightlight is just “on”, it is very bright. It would be great for a child who is afraid of the dark, but for us who just want enough light to avoid bumping into furniture during the night, it is too bright. It’s a minor flaw though, and the only one I found in the product. It’s also the rare product that is USB-powered and actually comes with a USB AC adapter!
Overall, I would recommend this white noise machine to everyone. A little white noise really helps anyone sleep better, and this one is the best I have ever used due to its volume and sound options. 5/5 stars

Received one of these as a gift to deal with a noisy downstairs neighbor always blasting her TV. Now 5 years later that one is still good as new, and we ordered a second one for our baby’s room. This best white noise machine I’ve ever used. The sounds are all so pleasant, and there are so many. The ocean wave one is especially soothing. And it’s the perfect size, with a nice little nightlight function.
