The lip tint has a pretty, natural color, perfect for everyday use. The texture is lightweight and comfortable on the lips, not sticky at all. I also like that it can be used as a blush, giving a fresh, natural look.
However, the staying power is average and it needs reapplication, especially after eating. For the price, it’s decent, but it’s not long-lasting. Overall, it’s a good product if you’re looking for something soft and natural.

Beautiful color, I’ve got medium dark skin and the orange color is amazing! Very easy to put on and it feels lightweight. No sensation at all. Great value for the size. If you have dry lips though, don’t expect it to stain for long on there. It stays on all day as a blush though. Great quality stain.

This is my second purchase for this/second shade. I previously bought the cherry cola shade from Ulta. Obviously, I liked the product enough to get a second shade. Left on red is not a bad shade. It’s quite pretty, but probably more so for cooler toned ladies. I have a light to medium complexion, olive undertones. Blue reds or what most people consider a true red have a tendency to go anywhere from just leaning a little bit pink to going totally fuchsia on me. This is still pretty where it only leans a little pink for me. I wish they had a stronger red/orange based red (not just the orange shade).
It has good staying power on my face and my lips. It’s a bit drying so I do top it with a little bit of clear balm. Considering the price, I think it’s a really good product for being multipurpose.
Side note: Cherry cola is very pretty. I paired it with Elf’s dark cocoa lip liner and it’s a beautiful winter lip.

Hands down, my new favorite makeup item I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve been wearing makeup for 30 years. The lightweight feel, the buildableness (is that a word?), the color pay-off, the staying power – it’s PERFECTION. It’s so easy to apply to cheeks and lips, it doesn’t fade, it’s very forgiving of my lips and their straw-lines where most lip products run. This one stays put. The Cherry Cola color is so pretty. I feel like a million bucks with this. And you cannot beat the value for the money. I bought another so I have one for my makeup kit and one to keep in my purse. It’s perfect! I’m pretty excited about this, because I was looking for something specific to go with my favorite lip color, Clinique’s (famous) Black Honey*. It turns out, elf’s Cherry Cola Sheer For It Blush Tint, is the perfect lip stain for me, underneath Black Honey. It’s also very pretty on its own, at a very reasonable price. The tint is a good mix of berry (cherry) and brown (cola). I apply it to my clean, dry lips, the applicator wand has a helpful shape, so it’s easy to get it exactly where I want it, without extra product getting on the skin around my mouth. The bottle also has a piece of plastic so that after dipping the applicator into the liquid tint, it pulls off excess fluid. I put on 2-3 layers of lip tint, allowing each layer to dry, before applying the next. Then I use a clear universal lip liner, to trace my lips, and last, apply the BH lip oil, or lipgloss. I still have to reapply that last step frequently, but not as often as before. Even if my BH gloss or oil is gone, having this elf stain underneath, it still looks good.
I’m including pictures of this elf tint, next to the BH lip products, including one of the BH lip oil, elf Cherry Cola tint, and BH lipgloss, on the back of my hand. You can see how well they go together. Also a pic of the tint, open, to demonstrate both the applicator and that little white piece of plastic that helps draw extra fluid off.
Elf is a good brand, and very reasonably priced. I don’t have a single complaint about this product, I definitely recommend it. When I run out, I hope it’s still available to purchase again.
*C’s Black Honey is the most popular lip color right now, because it’s a perfectly balanced red, so it’s flattering on warm and cool complexions. I have yellow undertones, I love the berry shades, but I didn’t think I would ever get to wear one, without my teeth looking yellow, and my skin looking sick. The only problem is that it has zero staying power (on its own, <20 mins and it’s gone), which is frustrating when it’s coming from an expensive brand like Clinique. I’m glad I found this tint.

I got the shade “plums up” This brand of cheek tint is new to me. I love it. 🥰 If you haven’t used tints like this before, be warned that you have to work extremely quickly as they dry fast. This one is no exception.
What works for me is using a moisturizer, foundation then putting a dot or two (MAX) on a palette (or piece of plastic or whatever you have) then dipping a blush brush into it, tapping it a few times on the palette then quickly patting it where I want it on my cheeks. Alternatively, you could take a drop of face cream and a drop of this tint and mix it together then apply it to your cheeks with a blush brush. Don’t put it on the back of your hand because it does stain.
I tried this on my lips and I think that’s how I like it the best. Don’t get me wrong, I works as a blush and won’t budge all day but it creates such a lovely tint on my lips that is long lasting, feels light and doesn’t transfer. I can simply apply my favorite lip balm over it during the day for a shiny, glossy look.
I’m considering trying other colors but definitely recommend Plums Up. I am fair skinned white with a warm undertone and think it looks nice on me. The only thing to consider is that it takes a bit of practice to use. I’m pleasantly surprised that Elf has truly stepped up on this one. It’s one of those rare “amazing quality for the price” finds. No need to buy Benefit or other more expensive brands. This works EXACTLY the same.
There’s also value in this on top of the low price because you only need 1-2 drops at a time for blush. This small tube will last a very long time. Will go through it slightly faster when used first the lips as you can swipe it right on with the doe foot. I shoukd mention there is a little bit of a bitter taste before it dries if you get it too far into your lips to where you can taste it. It goes away once dried down.

Great buildable color. It’s exactly like the original formula of bene-tint (back when it came in a dual end applicator!) The current formula of bene-tint is a more powerful color and creamier formula, so it’s not a current bene-tint dupe if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s an awesome product on its own! For the price you can’t beat this amazing tint from Elf! I have tried many of Elf’s tint / 3 in 1 products. This and the 3 in 1 stick are the best! As a lip tint this needs a clear gloss or my personal favorite Carmex on top for moisture. It’s a relatively thin, translucent consistency and application. Apply a 2nd or 3rd coat builds the color (just like that original formula of bene-tint). I have 3 separate Elf tints and a tube of Bene-tint in my makeup stash right now. This is on the daily rotation! Elf really nails it for a great price every time!

It’s a beautiful red not too bright but a perfect shade. It isn’t too sheer you can see the red it fades to like a soft red over time but it’s a stain. I have two tone lips and it covers the darker shade beautifully. Great for layering over lipstick as well as alone. Decent longevity. Doesn’t last too long if you are drinking or eating you will have to reapply. But overall love it highly recommended

It’s okay. I have turned mine upside down, thinking it was the other end up, and when trying to use a small dab of it, it dripped and make a big mess. All my other cosmetics are protected where they don’t spill if you turn it upside down. I know better now that I know. I really like it. You need to add a moisturizing glaze of a your choice, at least I do. The color is nice, but you need some moisturizing lipgloss. The color sets, but doesn’t last for a very long time like a Matte, but usually this lasts longer than plain lipstick. I didn’t realize it, but the second one I ordered, nice color, but I realized it was drying when I didn’t put gloss or moisturizer over it. And, for the price, it is a decent product. C+ -B- . Once I know how to use it it’s great but messes, and losing 1/2 of the bottle. I thought I would warn you all. It’s a good product.

I’m actually obsessed with this. For the price, it’s such a good value, you get a lot of product.
The color is a super pretty pink that looks really natural but still noticeable. It gives that “your lips but better” vibe. It’s smudge resistant and stays on the lips so well. You will need a chapstick after because it is drying but I don’t mind.
I honestly like this better than the Benefit Cosmetics lip tints. This one lasts way longer on me, even after eating, I can still see the color.
Overall, amazing value, long lasting, and really pretty. Definitely a new favorite.

This works amazing on cheeks and lips —for lips I recommend lining them to keep it in place longer and from feathering if that is an issue for you. I don’t know why, but I found that lining my lips made it last longer.
By the way, this looks absolutely killer as a base for sheer lipsticks and glosses
I use a neutral liner and NYX butter gloss in “ginger snap” on top of this and it makes the most gorgeous true cherry cola color with the red shining through the deep cinnamon brown color.
Taste wise there’s really nothing to talk about it tastes like any other lip stain I have used— tingling is another thing I have experienced with any other lip stain, I think it’s just the sensation of it drying down on the lips. The texture is light and smooth like water and absorbs quickly.
The applicator is awesome. It goes on without any problem. I start at my Cupid bow making a little heart and then gently fill in the lines on the outside and fill in the rest toward the middle.
The size is very reasonable for the price and I will definitely be buying this again and exploring other color options so that I can continue making fun layered colors on my lips

Ive purchased 2 of these, Cherry Cola(Warm brown-ish burnt orange) and Plums Up(Cool dark plum purple-ish red+pink).
My skin is neutral tone so I wear both cool and warm tone colors, just depends on the mood of the day.
Both of them stains very well, lasts long.
I use them as blusher also and it works great!
But it dries up fast so you may need to blend it ASAP.
Thesr are tint so it doesnt moisturize your lips but just gives color so I layer vaseline on top. It has no distinctive smell or taste.
You dont need to spend tones of money for major brand tints. These work just perfect and colors are so pretty.
If I want more shine, I layer with e.l.f lip balm jelly and my lips look so shine and feel moisturized.
I love e.l.f brand in general but their lip products are the best.
