Bought this for my husband who has a hard time separating egg whites with just 2 halves of the shell. Works perfectly as long as you choose a bowl where this sits straight and sturdy. You might have to jiggle the separator a bit to speed up the process. Overall great kitchen tool, value for money, easy to clean, gets the job done.

My granddaughter wanted to make a chocolate food angel cake, the first few cakes had a few mishaps with separating a dozen eggs. (12 egg whites are the only liquid in the cake).
