I did deduct one star because occasionally it’s a bit tricky to unscrew one lid if the other is tightened and the paint can easily chip or scratch, but overall, the price is reasonable for such a quality product.

I’ve been using mine for 2 weeks. So far, it’s love. Possibly my new go-to brand when it’s time to replace my failing one whose brand name is inspired by the mouse of a certain bamboo-eating animal.
PROS (for me):
Soft silicone spout. Very easy to sip. Spout guard/cover that has a lock option and which flips *all the way open* at the press of a button (and without flinging mouthpiece water everywhere, like a certain popular brand does). Truly leak proof. Stays cold. Easy dishwasher clean. Much lighter and more hand-sized than many others, as well, which I assume is due to slightly less insulation. I can’t imagine a car cup holder in which this wouldn’t very easily fit.
POSSIBLE CONS (for some people):
The bottom of the lid that faces the inside the bottle has deep crevices that would be nearly vimpossible to scrub with a sponge, so keep in mind if you use it drink things other than plain water and just hand wash. Takes *slightly* more pressure than expensive brand to latch the lid closed. Not certain, but I feel it doesn’t stay cold *quite* as long as popular-brand competitors, but ice still lasts several hours, even in the hot sun. I assume this is due to slightly reduced insulation layers, but that keeps it a smaller diameter and lighter weight than the popular brands.
TBD:
I’ve been using this for 2 months. So far, no issues or concerns about the handle stability and no issuesor concerns about whether the spout cover could become misaligned over time. Both still seem very perfectly snug in place, with no wiggling.

I’m obsessed with the “ello” water bottle, and I’m not the only one. 😁
I found one at a store about a year ago and bought it on impulse because I needed a bottle like this for water. Though I must admit, I had low expectations because so many previous bottles had let me down in the past. But this one far, exceeded my expectations. My husband tried it and said that he really liked it that it was his favorite over any of the bottles he’s used and asked me to get him one. So I returned to the store and bought one for him and an extra one for me so I could have one at work and home.
Several weeks later he saw my extra one at the office and he too wanted one for the office 😆 However, upon returning to the store, I only found they were out of stock and no longer were carrying them.
Recently other family members tried it and complemented it. I think my favorite reaction was “Drinking from this is so satisfying!” 😂
It was at that point I decided they make great gifts. I returned again to the store and found they still no longer carried it. For this reason I was thrilled to find them on Amazon. It is something I will keep buying over and over for people because it’s just that good of a bottle.
Functionality: If you put cold water in it, it will stay cold for a long time as it is well insulated. The cap snaps closed and can be locked. No spilling or leaking issues. There is a straw that runs all the way down so you don’t have to tilt up, the mouthpiece is very comfortable.
Everyone I have given this bottle to loves it. It becomes their sidekick. Now they are gifting it too 😆💕

Mostly I love this water bottle. The color is pretty, it’s comfortable to hold, and most importantly, the size of the drinking spout is perfect. It allows the perfect amount of water to flow out without anything spilling. It’s so easy to drink from. I like that it’s simple to clean – no hidden crevices or straws. I also love that even though it’s 32oz, it actually fits underneath the water dispenser on my fridge. Most bottles are too tall, so I love that. I only have one problem with it, but it’s big enough that I had to give it 3 stars. It is so difficult to open the larger twist cap! As you drink, you use the top cap, which is very easy to open because it has a large handle. I try twisting the larger bottom cap on loosely so that it doesn’t get stuck. But when I go to refill it, I cannot unscrew it. There is nothing to grip and it’s a narrow piece that you can’t easily twist off. It’s so hard I have to ask my husband to unscrew it for me and he struggles with it too! I cannot open it quickly or easily and it actually hurts my hand now when I have to try to get it open. I don’t know if I got a bad one or what the issue is, but it shouldn’t be this hard to refill your water each time. Because of that, I’m now looking for a new water bottle again. It makes me sad because this one actually checked all the boxes! But I can’t use it if I can’t open it to refill it.

This is a perfect wide mouth bottle that keeps the ice cubes crunchy & my water nice & cold. I stay thirsty & the size is adequate enough that I don’t have to re-fill as often with the hefty 40 oz. One of the best designed stainless steel bottles. We’ve been testing and using this product on a daily basis for over a month now and so far so good.
The Outside:
The Ello Cooper Stainless Steel Water Bottle is aesthetically well-made, featuring a sleek design with various color options as well as various capacity sizes. The design includes a soft silicone spout and a one-touch locking flip lid, which adds to its modern appeal as well as providing added protection to the mouth spout. This lid is designed to keep the drink surface fully covered during transport, ensuring cleanliness and preventing spills. It’s definitely a terrific feature. As long as the lid/cap that secures the bottle is turned snug enough, and the locking flip lid is closed, there has been no leakage even when the bottle is turned upside down. Note: Not to overfill the bottle, maintaining a good level at approximately 90%-95% full. The integrated carry loop enhances its portability and style, making it suitable for both casual and active lifestyles.
The Inside:
The interior has the classic stainless steel appearance, its vacuum insulation keeps cold beverages cold for many hours, easily up to a day. We’ve been exclusively using the bottle to hold water only. Included is a durable straw made of silicone, designed for easy sipping. Another great feature is that we can elect to achieve a steady flow of water from the bottle without actually sipping, using a technique that involves tilting the bottle carefully above the mouth and drinking this way.
Sizes:
The Ello bottle comes in a variety of sizes. We’ve enjoyed having the bottle quite a bit so we’ve picked up a variety of colors and sizes: 2x 32oz (at home and on the go use for 2 people); 1x 22oz (short distance on the go use for 1 person); 1x 40oz (at home use) and 1x 64oz (at home use for extra water storage).
Cost:
The price seems to be competitive, if not better, relative to other brands of stainless steel bottles but I’d argue that it’s a much better value for the quality and features.
In summary, The Ello Cooper stainless steel water bottle is both well-made and well-designed, offering excellent functionality.

Excellent option to get me through a long work shift. The 32oz is a little too big to sit in my cup holder, but it’s well worth it for the volume it holds and how cold it keeps my water. I need to fill it up once or twice during my shift, but it’s a suitable size and isn’t too heavy to carry around the office. I love the straw lid, as it’s fully covered when not in use and is somewhat wider than most straws, making it easier to drink from. The lid even locks in place with the slide mechanism on the side of the lid.
It says it’s top rack dishwasher safe, but I just put the lid and straw in and hand wash to bottle, since the sage color is beautiful and I don’t want to risk it, though I’ve seen no scratches after nearly a month of use.

Great Lid Security! (A Major Pro) –
The lid is the key reason I chose this bottle. There is absolutely zero leakage when the cap is closed. I especially love the security features:
Fully Covered Spout: The cap completely covers the drinking spout, which is fantastic for keeping the surface clean when the bottle is in a gym bag or sitting on a desk.
Easy Locking Mechanism: The lock is effortless and fast to use (it’s super easy to engage and disengage), ensuring the cap remains locked and guarantees leak-proof security when tossed into a bag with electronics.
Portability and Size Recommendation –
The 22-ounce size is portable and fits easily into my backpack’s side pocket. I chose this smaller size specifically because I was concerned that the larger-capacity bottles would not fit in my car cup holder. While the 22oz fits perfectly, with some room to spare even (in a 2026 Corolla), I’ve found I need more water capacity throughout the day. For my next purchase, I would definitely order the larger size and would recommend others check the dimensions against their own cup holders.
Design and Durability Considerations –
I have a few points about the construction that potential buyers should be aware of:
Cap Alignment Issue: The screw mechanism inside the lid, which is crucial for preventing leaks, can be tricky. It sometimes takes a few tries to line up evenly and screw on properly. It’s a minor frustration, but worth noting for daily use.
Exterior Scuffing: While I love the sleek look, I was disappointed that the exterior finish already shows small scuff marks after less than a week of daily use. It seems the painted finish may be prone to minor wear and tear quickly.
Cold Performance, Cleaning, and Drinking Experience –
This bottle excels at keeping drinks cold all day. The water is still cold well into the evening.
Cleaning is Very Convenient: The lid is easy to fully disassemble for deep cleaning, and both the bottle and lid can be safely put into the dishwasher, which saves significant time.
A Note on the Drinking Experience: The silicone spout is comfortable, but the drinking experience is a personal preference point. It requires slightly more suction, and the rate of water flow is a little less than I am used to (in comparison to my Owala bottle, for example).

Please be aware that this specific bottle is not designed for use with hot liquids, which was disappointing to discover after my purchase.
Overall Recommendation:
