I keep one of these whistles clipped to my backpack every day and take it with me on weekly hikes. It’s very lightweight, doesn’t get in the way, and the carabiner makes it easy to attach to a strap or zipper.
The whistle is surprisingly loud for its size, which gives me peace of mind when hiking. Build quality is solid, and the paracord lanyard is a nice bonus that I attached to my backpack to hold my jacket. I also like that the set comes with multiple whistles so I can leave them on different bags.
Great value and a simple safety item I actually use regularly.

Convenient packaging. Good variety of options to choose from in terms of size and colors. Easy to use and very effective. Great for emergency situations or if you’re a varsity sport coach. Very worthy for the money spent. Awesome value and very durable! Highly recommended.

Bought this for my hiking group, and im very impressed with its built quality and volume.
The finish feels like very good quality aluminum. They are lightweight but very solid to handle outdoor conditions.
Also found it’s a good piece of self defense tool to make loud noise for kids & ladies easily. The pea-less design with a regular breath can produce a sound that carries incredibly far. Excellent value for money!

I was shocked at how loud these whistles are! The small one already cuts through background noise easily, but the big one is like a siren – clear, sharp, and impossible to ignore. Perfect for hiking, camping, or any emergency. Exactly what I needed for peace of mind outdoors.

Light and loud. So handy for dogs and for emergency kits.

I suppose you get what you pay for- these are cheap and mostly nonfunctional.
The 3 “large” whistles work well and are easy for adults or kids to use loudly. The keychains on them are incredibly flimsy, however, and bend and fall off from very little force, even just catching on something while walking by. This is especially frustrating because the chain hole on the large whistles are at such a strange angle that you can’t really fit anything other than the tiny chains it came with. So, despite being functional whistles, the large ones aren’t very convenient.
The 3 “small” whistles fit on lanyards and other chains much better, but they simply don’t work as whistles. It takes lots of shifting around and careful movement to get any proper sound out of them, and that’s no good for children or emergencies.
Overall this is just junk.

I bought this specifically for my hiking backpack because I wanted something louder than the cheap plastic ones.
I noticed some reviews saying it doesn’t make a sound. I actually had the same issue for the first 5 minutes until I realized I was holding it wrong. The air vent on the bottom needs to be completely clear. If you grip it too tight and cover that little hole, you just get the sound of rushing air.
Also, unlike a sports referee whistle that has a pea inside, this is a pea-less chamber design. You can’t just blow gently; you need to give it a sharp, strong blast of air to get that piercing high-pitch sound.
Once I adjusted my grip and gave it a real blow, my ears were actually ringing. It is extremely loud and definitely high quality for the price. The carabiners are a nice bonus for clipping to my belt loop.
Bottom line: It works great, just make sure you don’t cover the air intake!

Just wanted something just in case in car etc. Didn’t realize I had to tie my own knots for lanyard. For $8.99 these are pretty good. The large 3 are really loud and doesn’t take any effort at all. The small red one is loud just not as good as the big ones and very little effort. The small silver one drops down in loudness from red but still pretty good. The small blue one sucks you can turn blue in the face and doesn’t even come close to the silver one. If you look and compare the plastic inner part on blue one is pushed out past the open hole unlike the silver and red small ones. I guess that’s what’s causing the issue. Again, overall for $8.99 these are great for emergency situations.
Edit: used a lighter and small flathead screwdriver to push the plastic away from the hole and it works as good as the silver one now. Also, had to push plastic down from the mouth of whistle so it wouldn’t block it from front.

Not only LOUD but a very “NOTICE” type sound, not your general referee’s whistle. I also like having two sizes, I hung the smaller from a chain around my neck!

It was ok. Didn’t work that great but good enough for recess duty.
