The cards are great, as is the book – it’s really comprehensive.
However, the card explanations differ slightly to the ones in more detailed books, so it’s good to cross reference to get a detailed look on the card’s meaning. As a beginner, this is very important to me. But the explanations are clear and concrete.
On overall I would recommend this to anyone! I would order again if I lost my cards or the book.

I certainly did not need another tarot deck! But this “radiant” deck appealed to me because the colors looked brighter than my standard Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) deck and the drawings of the images seemed sharper/clearer. I was also intrigued that it came with more than just the small pamphlet of card meanings. The paperback book is more than 250 glossy pages, with full color pictures of the cards along with the meanings (both upright and reversed). There are also quick references for how the cards could relate to questions about love, money, career and family. Towards the back of the book there’s a wealth of info I haven’t seen in other books – how to prepare to do readings. FAQ’s, and a great section on what the various symbols found on the cards mean. A great little book that’s solid and packed with info, yet small enough to carry in your tote bag (unlike some of the larger tarot books I’ve bought). I’m sure I’ll be referring to it often!
As for the cards themselves, they’re made from a sturdy cardboard. [I mainly buy plastic tarot decks these days because I like the feel of them, the durability, and ease of shuffling.] The quality seems good, the colors really pop, and the images are familiar while also feeling new and fresh. For the price (about $23 when I bought it), this book/card set is a great value! Highly recommended for beginner or seasoned tarot reader.

The enhanced color in this deck is something the Rider-Waite Smith (RWS) has needed for a while to bring it into the modern era. The washed out color of the illustrations in other versions of the deck was always off putting to me. It was an antique looking deck in modern deck packaging. I either want something that looks vintage across the board or modern across the board. I’m not a fan of the mix we usually see in iterations of the RWS. The vibrant colors on this version of the RWS are exactly what the deck needed. The illustrations remain faithful to the original but the enhanced shading and coloring finally make it look modern.
What I like most about this kit though is the guide book. It is in full color like the cards and is extremely informative. It is laid out really well for beginners. I’ve been reading tarot for about 4 years now and there are things I’m learning from this guidebook, which is not something I’ve expected from guidebooks for a while now. This is a great starter set for any new tarot reader to begin their tarot journey with and the enhanced colors of this deck also has something to offer old fans of the original RWS. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering it.

This is my first deck, I can’t speak to the quality of the card stock from a place of knowledge or prior experience but I can say I love the feel of it. The cards are firm & I was hoping for that over flexibility bc I believe the firm card stock is conducive to longevity. The cards have a nice smooth feel & they’re vibrant. The vibrancy of this deck is more of my esthetic than the original Rider Waite deck, but it’s not over done, it’s not outlandishly vibrant or distractingly vibrant. I wanted a more modern deck. A deck that was based upon the Rider Waite deck but with different (more modern) art. While doing research, everything & everyone said not to go that route. I heard many times that first time buyers (who want to learn how to read tarot) should get the original Rider Waite Deck as their 1st deck.
This deck (Radiant) was the most appealing one to me & in person they look better than in the pictures. I love the back of the cards as well, it’s a navy blue color with tiny yellow stars, the boarders of the design on the back of the cards are outlined in white.
My book & the box my cards came in were both bent on one corner. That didn’t change my review bc I’m 95% sure this is the fault of my mail person placing it sloppily in my mailbox. Luckily the cards were totally unaffected despite the outer box being bent. I’m going to keep it as is, it doesn’t impact my ability to use the deck or read the book. It doesn’t bother me, but it’s worth mentioning it on the off chance it’s not my mail person’s fault. I like the (paper) mat it came with as well.
The book is way more thorough than I expected. It’s larger than I expected & thicker than I anticipated. I’m surprised the price is as low. I found this same set (online) being sold at popular bookstores for nearly twice the price.
The book’s content is well organized & very easy to read & understand. This is the only book I’ve ever purchased regarding tarot & I can easily comprehend the information presented within it. if you’re looking for a first time deck, I can’t recommend this enough.
I looked in many places & for a long length of time for the perfect Rider Waite deck. I found this one incidentally bc someone said, in their review of another deck, that the only better deck (than the one they were reviewing) was the “radiant” deck. I’m glad she mentioned this one. I couldn’t have found a better one than this & I’m happy with my purchase.

This by far exceeded my expectations. Such a beautiful deck. The book it comes with is amazing perfect for beginners and just for a quick reference. It also came with a little booklet for if your traveling and dont want to take the big book. It is very detailed about every card and its meaning and does reversed meanings too. Cards are colorful and fit in hand nicely and shuffle very well. I connected with these cards as soon as I was clearing them. Thank you for such a wonderful deck. I would highly recommend this to anyone. This would by far be the perfect gift for someone who wants to learn tarot. Well worth the money pay a little more and get the best. I am very blessed and happy with this purchase.

The format and quality of the guidebook is excellent and there are some really good spreads i haven’t seen before. The cards are on the thin side but i like the extra details, coloring and the star print on the back
