- Cocoa & Toasted Nut Notes with Caramel Sweetness: These organic rainforest coffee beans are a medium roast made from USDA Organic 100% Arabica beans. Smooth and medium-bodied with cocoa and toasted nut notes, subtle caramel sweetness, and a gentle earthy finish. Organic coffee with real depth that fills the room before you even pour it.
- Whole Bean Freshness in Every Cup: Grind it fresh and let that warm, layered aroma take over the kitchen. Rainforest blend coffee locks in the complexity that pre-ground loses while sitting on a shelf. This is what organic whole bean coffee is supposed to smell like. Roasted in small batches and shipped fresh so beans arrive well within peak flavor window.
- Hand-Roasted in the USA Since 1902: Four generations of small-batch roasting from a company that knows how to bring different beans together. Blending takes patience and a good ear for how flavors meet in the cup. Roasted coffee beans done right in the USA with the care this rainforest coffee deserves.
- Brew It Your Way: This organic medium roast coffee has low acidity that’s easy on the stomach, even when you drink it black. Pour over brings out the caramel sweetness. French press deepens the cocoa and nut notes. Drip machine keeps it smooth and consistent. Produces a smooth, balanced extraction for espresso machines with low bitterness. Certified organic and gluten free.
- Good Hot or Iced: Steep it overnight and those same cocoa and caramel notes come through chilled, smooth and clean without any bitterness. A 24oz bag provides weeks of daily coffee at a better value than smaller specialty bags. Cold brew stretches a bag further too, so 24 ounces of bulk organic coffee beans goes a long way. Hot for the early mornings, iced when the afternoon gets warm. For best freshness, store in an airtight container away from light and heat.

I don’t like burnt roast. I prefer dark with nothing added. Pleasantly surprised with the Rainforest Blend. A little fruity, very smooth and the roast is great whatever it’s called. I’ll be sharing these beans because any new coffee I find, priced right, is worth sharing with a friend and these are great!

Very fast delivery! I ordered this because it’s organic and whole coffee beans. I can grind it myself as needed, so the rest of the coffee beans stays fresher longer. If you grind it yourself, it’s has a fresher and better flavor. I have noticed that the pre-ground coffee is way too strong and bitter because it’s been ground too much/too long (finely ground). I prefer course ground to the finely ground. This is a 24 oz. bag and in my opinion, is a decent price, for being organic. I have been drinking this coffee for years.

I’ve been buying this for years now. It seems to nearly always be very freshly roasted, so it brews a delightful cup of coffee. Make it as robust as you like to your tastes. Never bitter, unless you brew it too strong. Honestly, I can’t imagine why anyone would say its not good, unless you have a VERY specific flavor and perhaps you love a dark roast so intense, it tastes BURNT. This is well balanced, so it may not be for everyone, but honestly I prefer it to the Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee for everyday drinking. And I DO mean everyday!

I’m a huge coffee drinker, and thought I’d try it because it was fair trade/Organic at 14 bucks for 24 oz, why not. The package came quickly- as usual with Amazon. I open the bag and a pungent smell of overly roasted beans attacked my nostrils causing me to sneeze, and the beans were glistening with oil. I’d say the roast is somewhere between a French Roast and a Vienna. I brewed up a cup and, as expected, I found the coffee to be flat and bland with a slight caramel aftertaste, drinkable but not the best- I’d give is a C+ (the plus being that its organic). You can get a good cup of coffee out of these beans, here are some tips:
1. Grind right before you brew.
2. DO NOT USE A DRIP! All you’re going to get is burnt, bland coffee.
3. Coarsely grind the beans to mellow out the taste of the bean.
4. Because these are dark roast beans most of the nuances and flavors of the beans are gone. You’re are going to want to use more coffee. I used 2 TBSP for every six oz instead of 1 TBSP.
5. I also stirred the coffee more than usual and let it steep for 4 instead of 3 minutes.
With these changes I was able to get a good cup of coffee that is balanced.

The Peruvian Andes Gold has been my go-to coffee beans for over 12 months now. I love the smell and taste of the coffee. However, the latest batch (Oct 2023) doesn’t give the same taste for some reasons. The roast seems to be inconsistent as well. Some months, I would get batches with lots of debris or crushed beans. Although the value is great, I’ll be looking for another roastery and cancel my subscription if I can’t find the original taste in the next shipment.

Rainforest organic whole beans.
Smells great . Made a cup not sure it because it fresh roasted or the coffee itself very bitter .I wonder if it sits a few days if bitterness will become subdued .it dose have a cocoa taste not nutty at all .Will have to try brewing it different ways to see how it taste then.
