This is a tasty sprinkle. I do prefer Franks sauce to this but if anything and you want a bit of extra kick go with this first then finish it off with the liquid gold of Franks! 💥

This review is for Frank’s RedHot Original Seasoning Blend, 4.12 oz. I like Frank’s RedHot hot sauce on chicken, and I was looking for something to mostly add to popcorn. So, I decided to give this seasoning a try. I really like it on popcorn, which is really all I have used it for. It adds a good amount of flavor and only a light amount of spice/heat. I could definitely use this on a number of things. I’m sure this seasoning goes well with fries, but I really never have fries at home, so I have not been able to try it. The ingredients list is so-so. I like that cayenne pepper is the first ingredient, but some of the other ingredients on the list don’t exactly excite me. If you are sodium intake sensitive, there is a decent amount of sodium in here.

Delicious on many foods. We like it on chicken breast tenders. My son loves it on hard boiled eggs. Good flavor less vinegar punch than the sauce, same delicious buffalo flavor.

Wow would I have bought this sooner! You don’t need a lot for great flavor and heat. About 10 years ago I made THE perfect ham and cheese sandwich using a brand whose name I’ve long forgotten. It was the tastiest, juiciest, more succulent and flavorful thin, deli-style cut of ham (with its natural edging, “classic trim” I think?) but with just the right amount of spice and “sizzle” to it. Since then I’ve scoured supermarkets in search of what was lost to no avail. THIS is just about as close to what I can remember. It does taste exactly like the sauce so you’ll get a healthy dose of that stereotypical wing sauce flavor for sure but with very noticeable yet subtle tones of rich hot pepper flavor, as opposed to just raw heat like most all hot sauces on the market. I’ve noticed most all hot sauces I’ve tried are 80-90% heat maybe 10-20% noticeable flavor you can actually taste in between all the heat. This is more like 50-50 or 60-40, which is very neat because even though traditional hot sauces are great for soups or chili, you can easily overdo it if you’re just looking for a mild background heat that won’t overwhelm or subdue the flavor for something like a sandwich or a salad or even a high-end fish or chicken. So, per volume, it’s obviously less concentrated “pure heat” than the sauce, offering more flexibility over the flavor profile of a dish, but wholly redeems itself by way of the deep yet subtle flavor of the spices themselves. Bit iffy on the corn maltodextrin and I’d kind of like to know what the “Natural Flavors” are but welcome to shopping in the modern age I guess, after all, perfection is a fool’s desire.

If you haven’t tried it? Try it! It’s hot in a good way – not ridiculous. Taste like the sauce without all the liquid dribble. Nuf said.

I absolutely love Frank’s Red Hot sauce, so when I saw they made a dry seasoning blend, I had to try it—and it did not disappoint!
