After using traditional Western veterinary medicine to treat her animal patients for many years, Dr. Judy Morgan discovered a better way to help them live longer, healthier lives. In From Needles to Natural, she shares her journey from traditional to holistic veterinary medicine and helps pet owners understand the differences between good advertising and good health for their animal friends. With more than thirty years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, Morgan blends her personal story as a lifelong animal lover with this collection of professional opinions about animals and animal care. From Needles to Natural covers a variety of topics including pet nutrition and food therapy, pet food labels, veterinary chiropractic care, acupuncture, and understanding the array of vaccines and medications. Morgan, who has produced a full webinar series on YouTube, discusses alternative and supplemental treatments for pet illnesses. While narrating heartwarming tales of the pets she’s treated, Morgan dispels the myths about effective pet care and teaches pet owners the benefits of feeding and treating an animal holistically.

Dr. Judy Moran is a very good writter. I do enjoy reading her book. I don’t agree with everything she has to say, but that is not really anything new with me. I take the good points and the ones I don’t agree with, I place on the back burner, who knows maybe they will work. You can tell she is compassionate about her love for her animals, and I would trust my dog with her.

I truly wish there were more veterinarians of this mind set in the world I think we would have less pet loss, less pet illness and a much safer modality of treatment. Dr. Morgan is truly one in a million. I enjoyed reading of her journey to this modality. Have shared this book with my friends. A very good read.

As a long time dog parent, I can not stress enough how wonderful this book is. Dr. Judy Morgan is an Holistic Veterinarian with 30 years of practice. Her book shares her journey on how she became holistic and natural in her approach to her patients. It is written in an entertaining format, but make no mistake about it, this book is jammed packed with information that will help keep your animals not just healthy but thriving. I have 3 examples living here with me. I have not only read this book cover to cover, but have picked it back up numerous times to research different things. In my mind this is the best animal care book out there.

I just finished reading this wonderful, wonderful book. It is packed with information on all sorts of diseases and conditions, and discusses both conventional and holistic options for treatment. The chapters on each subject have stories about pets that have come through Dr. Morgan’s home or clinic. Some made me laugh, some made me cry, and some inspired me.

The book is extremely well written, easy to follow, and thoroughly engaging. I liked it so much that I bought two more copies which I gave away as gifts. Everyone who has a cat or a dog should have this book.

I am glad I ordered the paperback edition because it had more than a dozen dog-eared pages by the time I finished. I will be referring to it often.

I follow Dr. Judy Morgan and used her other book that was my bible for cooking recipes for my baby Asher that had Kidney Disease. Even though he is no longer with us he survived over 3 years with this disease. Needles to Natural has great info to help treat your dog the holistic way so your dog can live a longer and healthier life.

This is a great book for any animal owner. We live in a time when too many people think that the right medication will solve everything. Dr. Judy Morgan shows how this isn’t true for animals any more than it is for people. The book traces her path from traditional vet to one who’s added many successful alternative therapies, while holding to the best of traditional veterinary work. Dr. Morgan includes an amazing amount of information, lots of specific recommendations, and she delivers this information with many compassionate stories about her patients.

This book does not bash traditional/western medicine, it explains the natural alternatives that can be explored, often times quite successfully, before going to drugs. Something that we should consider for both our pets and ourselves. I learned a lot about being proactive with my pets health, by ensuring healthy nutrition and by supplementing them properly. Things that I will also incorporate into my own life. Very informative and interesting book. I highly recommend it. Margie

The information in this book is PRICELESS, So much so I bought both kindle and hard copy. even if one choose to use store bought dog food(whcih I do not) it gives you the heads up on which ingredients to look for in dog food as primary ingredients. Example:Let’s say your dog has Diarrhea: there are two types: Cold and warm. Did you know that? I did not. At least one can look at the solutions for either: if one insists on buying kibble at least one would know what to look for and if one home cooks or feeds raw:one would have the solution

Easy and enjoyable read – half way through- very helpful information for taking control of your dog’s (pet’s) healthcare , not in lieu of a vet but with information to work alongside your vet so you can make informed and educated decisions . . Some info is an eye opener , the shady practice of many vet ‘prescription’ food companies funding vet practices indirectly. Trips, lunches, etc. not a direct kickback but certainly a motivator to have their food promoted. Great vet/holistic practitioner – well written! Ty Dr Judy !
