For me, I love this coffee. I have energy and slowly noticing brain fog is clearing up after using a few months. I recommend this coffee.

I’ve tried other mushroom coffees and most are like instant coffee, you mix with hot water and hope it blends, but most of what you pay for ends up at the bottom of the cup. This one is ground, made with actual coffee along with mushroom, and it’s delicious! I prepared it the same way I make a latte: into the espresso machine and added to foamed milk. It tastes like a rich, smooth coffee to me. I added a half teaspoon of monkfruit sugar to sweeten it a little. I bought it for energy and focus, and it’s doing a really good job of quieting my mind enough to focus on the things I need to get done without jitters or anxiety. It’s only been one day, but I like the effects so far and I could see drinking it every day, easily.

I have tried a number of mushroom coffees, but so far they have all been instant. This is the first one that I’ve tried that is made with actual ground coffee beans. The coffee itself is fine, but isn’t anything spectacular. It’s pretty average as far as coffee goes, even a bit on the bland side. I love the smell of coffee, but just opening the bag and smelling it, it’s not particularly strong. There aren’t any discernable mushroom-y or off tastes. If you are a super-taster and you are really looking for it, you might detect something. Personally, I drink my coffee with flavored creamer anyway, so it would be easy to mask anyway.

The instructions say to grind this to your desired consistency, which is weird, because it’s already ground pretty fine. Most people probably use a drip machine, so this would be fine for them, but I either use a French press, or what I did this time was actually cold brewed it in a Takeya. For both of my purposes, a coarser grind would have been optimal. Instead, I end up with a lot of sediment, which I’m pretty used to, so it’s not a big deal

I’ve only tried this once so far, so I can’t speak to the benefits of the mushrooms, but I’ve tried other mushroom supplements, and have not noticed anything incredibly noteworthy in general.

Tastes like coffee with a hint of mushroom. No weird smells or sour tastes. Tastes good not the best but definitely not the worst either. It has a good ground to it but im not sure about the brain improvement claims and whatnot.

I have tried a few mushroom coffees and they usually taste like dirt, or are overpowering with a different taste that makes it harder to drink. This one finds a better balance. It still tastes like coffee, and feels like coffee. It isn’t grainy or anything. It has been ground pretty finely, so I am able to put it in my espresso machine without needing to grind it further. I want these sorts of things to last so I’ll usually do a 50/50 mix of standard coffee with this also. I’m not sure about the benefits of it, and if I have more energy than I typically do with a cup of coffee, but the fact that it’s organic it great. I’ve spent more money, on less mushroom coffee, that I enjoyed less, so I would recommend this one. I am literally drinking it right now.

GoodBean Brain Booster Ground Coffee with Mushrooms is an intriguing concept, and I appreciate the added health benefits of the mushrooms. However, the taste was not as bold or rich as I had hoped. The coffee itself is a bit on the mild side, and the mushroom flavor is quite subtle, which may be good for some but left me wanting more depth. It’s an okay choice if you’re looking for a coffee with potential brain-boosting benefits, but not my go-to for a strong coffee kick.

Overall pretty nice from many I tried. it’s a medium roast, which to me tastes more like a dark roast, more bitter than I’d want it to be.

I’m one of those weirdos that actually enjoys mushroom supplemented coffees. I enjoy the extra focus that the lion’s mane seems to give when I have a project I need to buckle down for. This one was surprisingly not instant like most on the market. It’s finely ground and ready for your coffee maker. The taste is really just like a medium roast coffee without the earthy flavor I’ve come to expect from mushroom coffees. If you want coffee that tastes like coffee, but gives you the effect of lion’s mane – this is the one for you.

As an added bonus, this is from a mom & pop USA company that seems to really care about their product. Buying things online can often be a toss up, but I feel assured of the quality of this coffee.
